@@alihartman From a safety point of view, your "habits" are good for this particular drone. If able, it's good to take off or land visually, stabilized, and do control checks before proceeding in manual mode. But yeah, when you go to fly other quads, you will have to just blast away or land like in the sim.
@@alihartman People say don't use angel mode or horizon mode, fly manually using full acro. You know what, that's Bulsido. The matter is the output of the video, how good the quality that you make regardless of the flying mode. I got paid by a client for an output, not the flying mode. Yes, unless you want to learn freestyle, go on acro mode Your videos are amazing, and the color grading is stunning too. Keep it up!
I'm literally going to Iceland as well, in 3 months time... This video reminded me(and thank you) to check out rules and regulations for taking along the avata2, and I was pleased to find that flight operator "Play" allows this, and my A1/A2/A3 certificates for EU are required but does apply without further registration. Great video, and I loved that you started on the Sim !
I just got the NEO and now i want to learn FPV because it does look really cool. I've been only flying drones for about a couple monyhs but it's soo much fun. Iceland has some amazing land to fly. Eager to see more footage.
Damn it Is soooo easy to start fpv this days :D Feel sorry for my self that I started Fpv like 8 years ago when there was sooooo much to learn before even you get to air. Cheers! It is so much fun to watch how that hobby evolve
Servus, echt tolle Aufnahmen. Weiter so. Ich wünsche dir alles gute im neuen Jahr 2025, viel Gesundheit, Erfolg und tolle Drohnenflüge mit einmaligen Perspektiven. Gruß Jörg
Perfect quality footage!! So damn professional for a new channel! Keep up the good work! What gear do you use to record and what software do you edit in? Any tips?
I'm doing the same thing, but not using DJI for FPV - using walksnail instead. Liftoff and Velocidrone are much better for practice. Check out Bardwell too of course.
You live in Houston!! you should def join a group of us that are part of the houston who all fly and build FPV drones . And it would be cool to meet up and introduce the other guys!
I am in high school right now but I am to broke to afford one. this looks so cool. i looked at a lot of stuff like tineyhawk and other stuff but I just cant get enough for it. Looks amazing though. Have FUN!
FPV Is such a rush! I'm a pro drift/stunt driver and into skiing the adrenaline Is on par. Also takes you to wild places you'd never be in unless doing such activities!
Once you learn to fly angle mode use acro and build up flight time, also I highly suggest a small 65-75mm drone/tiny whoop I’ve just been getting into fpv this year and I got a 5inch from a friend but these little ones come with less consequence on my wallet when crashing, vision 40 is my favorite hd whoop get the fat shark starter kit it’s really cheap for a kit of this quality even at 500$, just got an analog whoop and weight matters it flys way better…(air 75)
Someone on Reddit told me that they allow drones in Iceland. Looks like that person was telling me the truth since you were in Iceland flying your drone! I'll plan next year to visit Iceland. I want to dive the mountains there. Great video Ali!
Very beautiful video and apartment. May I ask what was the simulator where you were flying over the hills, please? EDIT: Found it. Thank you for the video! It has lovely colours and vibes! :)
it is more profitable and better to start with a much cheaper drone, for example, with the Cinelog 20. I studied fpv on it, after 10 years on stable copters. I dropped it 20 times and sold it to the workers.
@@Ardenup Lol thanks for that. Not like I don’t want to upgrade to a better fpv once I’m confident. DJI has a lot of features that make it better for learning
Dji virtual flight is just fine to learn on but if you want the full experience you need a bnf fpv drone for learning trust me it will save you a ton of money .
The only downside with the avata 2 is that it lacks real power of an FPV drone. So its disappointing to be honest. But still a good foundation for learning FPV pilots.
If you're bored of FPV.. start learning to fly line of sight.. no goggles needed. master all the different orientation of the drone.. like flying 3D helicopters.
it is funny: Everytime you get a new drone, you handle it with care, as it is a delicate technical device - but after ony 3 months it looks like the 10 year old lawnmower from the neighbours shed :D
FPV is so freeing. Now to get yourself a 65mm "tinywhoop", so you can practice indoors. They are SOOOOO much fun! And a lot less money then a 5 inch. And they don't break when you crash them. Try Velocidrone for a SIM instead of Liftoff. Way better physics and feel. Use slow rates to, around 400-450 on all axis. It will make the quad less "twitchy".
Take off horizontal stability control. You’re learning bad habits. Practice on sim in full acro 😊
This
Will give that a try 😅
Amen..made the same mistake..

I have the 3s and Avata 2. The Avata is just so much fun to fly and doesn't end your day if you hit a branch or even crash into the grass.
welcome to fpv. its a great journey for you. enjoy it.

quite the location for your first fpv flight! Nice work
It was pretty nerve racking 😅 but totally epic!
Right dude. Lol

Hope you have a good time.

The Iceland footage turned out amazing!
There’s more to come! 👀
Crazy how i started buying diy soldering kits from ebay, then i get into fpv quads and i was already prepared for it lol soldering skills and gear😅
Wow! This is so cool and your Iceland footage is beautiful! You are so inspiring Ali, more power to you
Thank you! More Iceland content coming!!
Practice, Practice, Ali. This is a great video, and I am looking forward to more great content!

Literally forgot to mention the simulator I used on the computer which is uncrashed! So good to practice maneuvers and targets!

Welcome to the crazy world of fpv! Beautiful place to fly, nice flying, can't wait to see more epic locations. 🥰😁🤙
It really is addicting! Thanks for watching!
@KimFusedFPV the freedom that fpv offers is unmatched so far. As close to being Ironman as the world can offer.

Solid Story telling! Great job!

omg Iceland looks so beautiful!! Hope you enjoy the world of FPV, it's so magical 💞💓💞
Iceland really was magical! 😍
I actually start with DJI Neo and will stick with Neo for a while 😅 I crashed it 25-30 times already…
If you want to fly in cold weather, there is rc transmitter glove, where fits the radio and your hands. Nice video. Good job
Oh I need that! Definitely lots of insane extremely cold places and missing the shot is just not an option
