Hi , almost 6 weeks postpartum, i ended up having a hysterectomy at 28 years old , but thankfully i have 3 babys ❤i had complete placenta previa , then at the OR they found out i had placenta accreta lost 3.1 litters of blood. Thankful for my doctor im here today still with my kids.
I love your entire collection of lectures on obstetrics! Simplified and beautifully explained.

Very informative just found out today that they’re suspicious of this for me and I have to get an MRI next week thankful to have this video to understand what they are looking for and possible risks and treatment!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
My placenta had grown into my uterus (Accreta). They did a D&C and removed it. I have no intentions of having more biological children but didn't have a hysterectomy either. 🤔
wow, that couldn't have been explained better!
Agreed ✋

I love how you use imagery to explain. (nail bed in this video, also cell phone cover in another)... but this nail bed thing gave me the shivers. lol
The best explanation so far I have seen. Thank you
khan academy has always been my favorite
Thank, it's very good explanation
very informative, to the point video.
Wow..Super great explanation. Thanks 😊
Great explanation! One creative OB I got to work with actually LEFT THE PLACENTA IN until it had calcified into sand like particles (watching carefully for infection of course). Her milk supply was somewhat reduced due to the placental hormones still operating for awhile. After about 2 weeks she spiked a fever, went to the hospital and delivered the rest of the placenta. Her uterus was intact, she was ok with IV antibiotics and life went on. This woman had a bicornate uterus, which probably contributed to the placenta accreta.
you are a great teacher
Very well explained.thank you
Amazing explanation!!!!
Best explanation! Thank you 😊
Thank you for this info!
I had a placenta accreta and fortunately I was able to keep my uterus and the way it was resolved was that i was sent home and a visiting nurse came to see me everyday to check up on me and one day i was having a lot of abdominal cramp went to sit on the toilet and this big piece of stuff came out and it was the piece of placenta left in my uterus. My body took care of it on its own.
Born to teach medicine! Congrats!
I have had a c section and a myomectomy and plan to conceive again in the future. What are the chances of me acquiring these conditions?
Thanks, simple and clear.
this is basically how the stand Cheap Trick works.
Methotrexate can also be used with good results as long as woman is not bleeding

what is the chance of getting this in posterior wall of uterus .i think its far less than anterior wall
PERFECTO
This is by far the most disturbing lecture ever.. not because the lecturer was incompetent in any way, but because she was too spot on... the analogy of ripping off the fake nail had me from the beginning... now I feel sick thinking that someone would yank on the umbilical cord to pull the placenta out.......... WHO DOES THAT
Placenta accreta for mee now 6th month is going on
Could two continuous cesareans lead to a third accreta birth?
it is just one of the risk factors so it doesnt mean it has to occur...
+Evelina Missingo Thanks..
Too shallow discussion. Expected a little more in depth discussion
I thank for lay people/non-medical, that's very well explained!
