      @@naughtysauce4323 You can get through a steering wheel in a very short period of time with a hand operated hacksaw.. But we're living in the lithium tool age, so just like with your catalytic converter, a battery powered saw will get through the steering wheel in about two seconds.

    On the first gadget, one good thing is that the phone holder uses a standard mount. That means you can replace it with a better holder if you don't like the one included.

  • @Sarafimm2
    @Sarafimm2 Год назад +5

    Standard thieves tools would include multiple head screwdriver, hex set, wire cutters, bolt cutters, wire or hack saw, glass breaker, lock picks, etc. There has never been a steering wheel lock that has ever worked. Even if you can't open the lock, the thief would cut through the steering wheel and take it off that way. I think you have to find something that would lock the brake pedal with either the clutch and/or gas pedal(s). They might be able to move the vehicle, but it wouldn't move very fast and that frustration would probably cause the thief to abandon it.

    I’ve bought the Kleenex brand of those round tissue containers for quite a few years at my local store - a whole lot cheaper than Amazon (and please understand that I LOVE Amazon and am a Prime member!!!). Every car is configured different but I have the perfect place on my console that fits a boutique tissue box - it’s under the arm rest so the box stays there until it’s empty and time to put in a new one! tissue box is on its side so the opening is very easy to pull a tissue out!

  • @davenjahtisan
    @davenjahtisan Год назад +8

    Kleenex sells something similar to the tissues. Not refillable. But I've used them, and they work fine in the cup holder. 4 pk is around 10 bucks for 200 (50 in each pack).

    you gotta get it in the cup holder loose, then turn the dial to press the feet out into the walls. you can get a very tight fit that way, that's pretty sturdy (I have one for holding my giant insulated jug)

    • @Tarkus_
      @Tarkus_ 11 месяцев назад +1

      If it's like the one I have, for holding large tumblers, you can separate the sections. So you can get in there and really tighten the bottom section before installing the top section. It's extremely stable that way. But if I try to tighten it with the two sections already attached, it's hard to get it tight.

    I've been using the cylinder tissues in my car for a long time now - so handy! I used to get the Kleenex name brand for about $8 per pack. So I stocked up a few years ago, but holy cow, prices sure have gone up! I'm glad I still have a couple of 4 packs sitting in my bathroom closet. I've never had a problem with them fitting in my cup holders. I keep one up front & one in the back seat area. As for the softness, it depends on which brand you choose. Again, I use Kleenex brand, but I'm sure the cheaper knock-off brands probably are not as thick & soft.

    I have very similar first object from Amazon minus the food tray, my choice, and only has the one cup holder and find it to be very sturdy. As for the phone holder I found I preferred it best in more vertical position. It traveled well to NC and back to IL very very well. Mine was not wobbly at all. Personally I think less is more maybe reason for wobbles. I found the tissue funny, since no way am I taking up my cup holder space. Lastly I have tried a few different seat containers and have found thicker fabric basket with handles works fabulous. I run the seatbelt thru one handle and always works. I also added 2 rectangle shaped (shallow) inserts that fit and now I have compartments for tissue, small wicker basket for change, pens, paper on the side, flashlight, foldable umbrella, and when driving my small purse fits as well. But for you ladies the armrest purse hook holders are fabulous, I have singles and duals and love them both for different reasons and they can be front of seat or rear of seat.

    As always you do great reviews. The cup holder/eating tray/phone holder product is an accident in the making. I know you are saying its not for driving but you and I both know there will be many drivers using it while driving. Semi drivers will be using this while driving and that scares the hell out of me. There are way too many accidents on the Freeways already.

    I usually put my purse on the passenger seat, but whenever I have to make a fast stop,my purse falls on the floor, sometimes spilling contents. So I got a carabiner hook and hooked the purse handle to the headrest post. Works perfectly. Would probably work with grocery bags too. If you have any more than that, you should probably put your stuff in the trunk or back seat.

    It's odd that I haven't seen anyone mention it, however with the seatbelt thing while it's in use it'd be more difficult to use a screwdriver. In the car you can't pick up the belt buckle in order to expose it enough to slip a screwdriver under the sheath of the locking device. In fact most bottom buckles don't have much of a range of motion and they tend to be pretty squished between the chair and a center console these days. Given you have to attack with the screwdriver from the bottom up that form of attack seems like it won't be nearly as easy to achieve as when you just held it.

The second item seems like something most folks would not use as i doubt many folks would want to tie up a cup holder with this. The third item seems to have too many issues and potential vulnerabilities for me to trust it. The fourth item it works it's okay but any items i was worried about falling and breaking io would sit in in a place where it was secured and could not physically fall.

    I would've installed the food tray into the passenger's cup holder. That would lessen the crowdedness. Idk if it would work better. But it does in my mind. Lol

    I wonder if the fold away seat storage is something that could be integrated into seat covers, like an extra flap on the front that folds down into a pocket, but has hooks to anchor in the glove box when you need it.

      You can still use it with seat covers if you don't mind losing the two anchors. It may also be possible to put the seat cover over the bottom part and then fold the flap down on top of the seat cover, but that would depend on the design of the covers.

    3:00 You should've tried the Ember mug. I don't own one, but it would be nice to know if it fits.

      The mug would fit but the base would not! :)

    You unlocked the seatbelt/wheel device with the dummy clip, try getting a screwdriver down between your car seat and seatbelt buckle see how you can lever anything /o: .......Takes a lifetime to find a dropped pen!.......unless you take the seat out you couldn't go under and lever it.
