Dugout Shelter: Build a Tandoor Oven, Outdoor Cooking , Wooden Table Diy

- Hello folks!
In this video, I made a massive table out of dry oak logs.
I also made a tandoor for one special dish near my dugout. I fried a huge piece of the beef shoulder blade in a tandoor for 6 hours. The meat turned out phenomenal, very soft and juicy. I have never used a tandoor stove before, and I am more than happy with this experience. If you ever get the chance, be sure to try this dish, you won’t regret it!
Ingredients:
- Garlic
- fresh parsley
- fresh rosemary
- fresh laurel
- colorful peppercorns
- salt
- smoked red pepper
- Chili
- a mixture of dried vegetables
- sunflower oil
-beef shoulder blade

So many cultures still cook in an underground pit. Cooking this way you are never alone. You have friends cooking the same as their ancestors in: Hawaii: (imu), Fiji: (lovo), New Zealand: (hangi), Papua New Guinea: (mumu), Mexico: (barbacoa), India: (tandoor), Tahiti: (hima'a) and many more. It looks delicious!

I have watched many of your videos, and am currently watching your home restoration videos as well as the older ones. Watching you I miss doing the wood carving I used to due with my gouges and skews, as well as my knifes and such. Unfortunately I had to sell them all when I moved into my mother’s one bedroom apartment with her to care for her. Watching you however brings joy to my heart again. Thanks for bringing back the enjoyment I had when creating.

I'm from New Zealand 🇳🇿, the Maori people, used ground ovens, which are called a Hungi, in other cultures its named umu, a fire is set with rocks placed throughout the burn pile, and allowed to burn down until the hot rocks are left, with a little still burning coals and ash, them baskets are made from flax,and the portions placed in the baskets, and then covered with wet palm fronds until fully covered, then dirt is placed over the top and left to cook for up to three hours.

@@luxonbushcraft , yeah man, I reckon if you were to go digging into our written history, one would find different skills that indigenous people's use, the ground oven in their cooking process, Maori had steam from the many hot water pools that dot the middle of the upper island.
