Super Shelter Building Under the Rock, Camping in Heavy Rain-Thunder, Bushcraft, Underground House

- Hello everyone!
I decided to record the second part of this story after I had a great time building my shelter under the rock. After the first episode aired, I had a few more ideas to refine my shelter to be more pleasing to the eye. So in this video, you will see how I built a wooden bed and table with hand tools. You will also see the construction of a wooden fence on the porch and wooden stairs for more comfortable and easy access to the terrace. I also prepared a very tasty goulash in a clay pot outdoors. The evening was pleasant and rainy with the sounds of thunder. This was another adventure of mine that I am happy to share with everyone.

Jus curious how far apart r the different builds u have done? Do u build them in the same area or r the all spread apart? Also how do u get the inspiration an energy 2 build all of these? It looks so fun!! Does ur fam come an enjoy these huts w/u? Like does ur wife ever come spend the night w/u there in 1 of ur buildings or maybe bring ur kids 2 camp if u have any? Sorry 4 all the questions, I’m jus very curious. I hope u don’t take offense cause I don’t mean any disrespect. I was jus thinking if my man was out building things like u r I’d def wanna b there w/him camping an enjoying nature.

@@christinashelton5957 They are quite far from each other. I know about some places since childhood, and some I come across on the way and turn them into what you see. My family comes when it's almost done. We know how to spend the night in one of the shelters, we have done it before but in tents. It's more interesting this way! Work and school do not allow too much free time

What a perfect Palace! You have protection from the Sun and the heat, and you have protection from the rain and the way you designed it, fits in with the aesthetic of the surrounding area. Your videos are becoming more and more powerful. The editing, the framing, segways and transitions are just top notch and make for a beautiful product! Your current location and design of your shelter reminds me of the Anastasi cliff dwellings in Mesa Verde, Colorado - I imagine with this particular series you're really getting a taste for how the Ancient ones lived and worked. I happened to be at Mesa Verde among the dwellings (@ Long House before the current days when access was self-guided and you could roam the structures) during a thunderstorm and it was a Transcendent experience for me - your video really took me back in time and space and moved me deeply. Great structure!For the winter you should reinforce the staircase by nailing into the ground vertical beams and filling the gaps with stones.Thats what i did for mine and saved me from rainfall, keeping the water out.

I enjoy your projects and being deep in the woods! As a child my brothers and I would venture into the woods and build little shelters not as elaborate as yours. Your videos allows me to enjoy the things I couldn’t do now I live in the city and my wife won’t even talk about wilderness camping but I love it!!! Great video!

"Zoe Angel” and I have been enjoying your videos now for the last couple of hours. Zoe, next to me, looked up every now and then, as she heard the tapping of your hammer. A very familiar sound to her.
Daytime, she's with her "Dad" as he builds, repairs, and hammers on various projects. A while back he built a wonderful log cabin treehouse, up on railroad ties, for the grandchildren. It has a tiny counter, with running water in a mini sink. Thick, rescued carpeting is in the loft and on the lower level. Built-in book shelves hold a small tv, train magazines and found treasures. Front and rear porches; the rear has a secret drop hatch. A homemade dutch door, a large triangle window found at Habitat for the loft area; plus more windows.
The split logs were found at a builders supply in a mountain town and totted home... squeezed inside and on top of a Dodge Caravan, 200+ miles from home. 2 adults, 2 children, camping gear, plus great smelling logs... Lol.... we had a flat on the way home and had to remove them to get to the spare 🥴. But the joy it has brought was well worth it.
I can hardly wait to show him your creations. Too bad we live in the city.......they would have a heart attack.....if he were more"creative".

Finally made it in from work to enjoy your video. Looks like you have a homestead going. Still love the shelter under the bluff. Goulash looked excellent. Don’t have much clay cookware overall. One of your neighbors with a YT channel turned me on to a Kazan. Love it . Stew in 20 - 25 minutes. Very nice setup you have going. Have a great evening.

Love the new stairway upto your cave shelter. Nice eating area too. Great stove area to cook food and keep rock above shelter warm even during rain showers. This place can be lived in for months if you choose to. But a water containment of some kind would be good. Creek kinda long walk away

Hiya Luxon u never disappoint when u do your videos I really loved the stairs n the bridge u built on (haha I saw that coming tho 😊) . Loved it when u looking out the window n your girl looked over her head to c ya how precious.. The thunder n rain was perfect it must have been sooo good sitting n listening to the rain nothing beats it for sure. The table, was so nice n u had a great spot for eating there is no better restaurant in the world than where u both are 😊🐕 . I always thought having a fire under a rock ledge was not advised? Due to the rock cracking and then collapsing due to the heat.

Yes, truth! the rock is solid. In the first part, one part broke off, but since then nothing. I had a fire in a separate area just for cooking so there was no immediate danger! And I'm a professional too 😉

I've thoroughly enjoyed watching these types of videos ever since the day I stumbled across them. For the sake of curiosity, I've often wondered if the people building these structures owned the land or had to obtain permission from the owner?
Hi! I'm glad you like it, and as far as ownership is concerned, most of the forest in which I build is mine. I know the owners of the others, and I don't need to go into state forests because people call me to build on their lots.

Hi Marta! So I cooked well? 😉 It doesn't compare to your cooking, but there you go! You work miracles in your garden, and I cook in the forest with a little water in a bottle. That! It was hot, so there was rustling all the time, and the owl was really loud!
