- Sure, video games are fun - but what can they teach us? In this dynamic talk, Peter takes us through his philosophy in crafting virtual worlds -- and how they might impact ours.
Peter Burroughs is a video game enthusiast and world-shaper - in more ways than one. While pursuing his degree through MSU’s College of Communication Arts and Sciences, he’s also researching how video games can create social influence as well.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

I haven't got the idea at 1:00. Could anybody explain?
More women + ages over 18 spanning to 35 are playing games in America haha
this is gr8! why is no one watching?
he kinda doesn't make new interesting points about game design.
he gives a nice introduction for people who don't have anything to do with it.
i am quite interested in game studies and game design and I don't see anything worth sharing with people on that feld.
it is still a great presentation
Artist: Without the artist there wouldn't be anything to look at.
Me: What about programmer art?
Artist: ...
Are you referring to coding as an art, or do you mean something else?
@@Evacer Progammer art or what some games usually use as filler art until the games art department puts the final art in.
Life is game but my imagination of being hero is just in game.

The stats at the begining of the vid are wrong, the company that made them has a weird way to do statistics. Sorry but in what world is there 44% of woman playing video games ?.. (i think it was 44)
I think its 44% of gamers are women.
They count mobile
@Miss Misery technicality. It's still a game
compare monument (mobile) to rage parking simulator (steam)
and rethink if u still think mobile games are less of games.
i agree, that a lot pf mobile games give you the feeling of lazy game design.
but it works.
Games are games, woman plays games. If u want to contrast the data showed in the tedx talk provided some kind of source
Very bad presentation
