With the new Liz Feldman series Dead to Me now streaming on Netflix, I recently sat down with Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini to talk about their addictive dark comedy. If you haven’t seen the trailer, the show follows two women, Jen (Applegate) and Judy (Cardellini), who become unlikely friends after meeting in a grief support group. As Jen starts to become closer to Judy, though, it becomes apparent that her new friend is not who she seems. Dead to Me also stars James Marsden, Ed Asner, and Brandon Scott.
During the interview, Applegate and Cardellini talked about why they think the show is a "traumedy", their first meeting and if they were nervous the night before, if they were pitched on a long term plan for the series, why they both want to work with cool and fun people, and more. In addition, they revealed what TV show they’d love to guest star on, their first movie or TV show crush, and that Cardellini has been on The Price is Right and Family Feud.

I watched all of S1 back-to-back also, but I started way earlier in the day than you did so I didn't stay up at all. LOL But I didn't want to stop watching & I'm sure I would have watched all of S2 in the same marathon as well. This show is truly addictive. I'm not a usually a binge watcher.

Applegate is so funny and talented. She seems more into the friendship than Linda. Both are gorgeous and sexy and have great chemistry. Just some thoughts. Makes me want to have a friendship like that.
"She seems more into the friendship than Linda." I detected that, too! Applegate's authentic excitement comes through the inflection of her voice and body language. When she describes their first meeting, she looks at Linda intently, a look not seemingly reciprocated by Linda. She states "I knew who she was; she knew who I was," adding that extended beyond an actor level relationship.
I love Linda comprehensively. She remains down-to-earth, seems family-oriented, carries an unmatched vivacity, and possesses such beauty. Christina, however, who in her own right possesses the same, values this friendship more, at least from outward appearances.
