I think its hilarious that Bile is such a firm believer in the Emperor's Truth.
In a super fucked up way, he's the only one still staying true to the great crusade.
He is such a tragic father figure. Seeding the univers with hope but still missing his daughter that grew up and left him... i think he is the most human of the transhumans

His daughter grew up, made her own way in the world but not where he wanted her to go.
She hangs out with the wrong crowd and she's changing more and more snd he's disappointed.
But he isn't going to stop her being herself cause she's always his baby girl, horns and all and when he looks at her he always remembers the little girl she was, is, at the core.
That's actually so cute. In one scene billy is more of a dad than big E in a millennium
I like the dad vibe Bile is giving in this story. “Where have you been… it’s 11PM my child”
Fabius Bile is an interesting character. I feel as though he might be the galaxy's only hope in the sense that he adhere's to the imperial truth.
Bile is such a great villain because he combines the deranged genius and clinical detachment of a mad scientist with the suave sophistication of a James Bond villain and the sadistic bloodlust of a serial killer. If you threw Dr. Frankenstein, Ted Bundy and Auric Goldfinger into a blender, Fabius Bile would be the result.

Bile is my single favorite character. While clearly evil, he is so paternal it's hard to hate him. His hatred of the Chaos Gods, while simultaneously being admired by then is so very interesting. Not done with Manflayer yet, but excited to get to the end.
Oh, and when will the Inquisition finally realize there are hundreds of worlds in the galaxy populated with Homo Sapiens Novus??
Bile is not evil. He is one of the few good guys in this universe

I love it when that KoS rocks up in one of his novels and I'm totally expecting a stereotypical Greater Demon boss battle. Bile just Nukes the fucker with some anti-demon concoction.

33:40 REALLY makes me think the Emperor thought the same. Before being bleached by growing power, he wanted the Primarchs to call him father, so they would not be corrupted.

There's a chance Bile develops a major force which indirectly (& inconsequently) aligns with the Imperium.
Given a choice, it's almost a certainty Bile would prefer using his creations to kill demons/Tyranids/Orks rather than humans, if using his past dialogue as a trajectory guide.
I don’t want to give you spoilers but I recommend getting the fabius bile books and follow him on his journey. It’s deep and doesn’t end where you think it will

Do any of the books take place at that time? Or, is it just like a "known detail" about his life?
@@mycommentpwnz I havnt seen it tbh but I recommend the 3 fabius books and the Lucius the eternal book that covers them in commoragh. Fabius is the best character and those novels are peak 40k and my personal favourites of everything

Bile is basically means well, but it comes out weird because he's insane, and evil. Melusine basically turned out okay, but she's still devoted to chaos, so it's bad for everyone else. She's charismatic enough that Fulgrim decides to get off his ass (or tail) and help her.

I went into the spider to gain lore knowledge upto genefather. I absolutely LOVE cawl and went into this expecting to hate him like idolon or lucius. Hallway thru the FIRST novel, and honestly it feels like fabulous bill has SO much more character! The grand apothecary literally oozes charisma and wit. The way his twisted mind thinks, and how far he came from the heresy and changed his priorities and ideas. He is so damn smart, he very well could be totally opposed to the imperium, and still end up saving humanity on friggin accident.
Tbh, I think he's just gonna have to sit next to trazyn, creed, cain, Oll P, and good ol abby in my list of favorite characters in the 40k novels.
