  • I know this is going to cause some controversy but outside of the value and foaming capabilities, I have never found P&S Brakebuster to clean very well. In this video I compare Eagle One Wheel and Tire Cleaner vs Brakebuster straight. Let's see who comes out on top!

Turtle Wax Hyper Foam Wheel Cleaner is the best I’ve used

I like brake buster. its cheap like $25ish for a gallon and I use it at 5:1 so I get alot of product. I really only use it on maintained wheels and never had an issue. I also like that it has corrosion inhibitors to help keep the rotors from rusting as much when cleaning. Hell rinseless wash works good enough for me on my maintained coated wheels. If I have a really nasty wheel I will grab DIY all clean or Optimum power clean

But 9/10 I bet you are cleaning a very clean wheel. It’s not that great

Nanoskin Non-Acid Wheel Cleaner also does great and is like 19$ a gallon 👍

It's common in the detailing world to use Brakebuster as a maintenance wash and diluted. This tire is filthy! Lots of other products to use for this scenario. It would have been more helpful if compared on a maintenance wash and both diluted 5:1.

I used the product straight. If I’m using it on a maintenance wash then just about any product works great and almost everyone always dilutes brakebuster and says how great it is. It’s clearly not that great for things about normal maintenance.

I still use Brake Buster for the wheels, and Adam's Tire and Rubber Cleaner for the tires. This combo seems to work well for me and I haven't had any issues. I'll probably try something else somewhere down the line, but right now I've got so much product of each of this I'm finding it hard to justify getting something else at the moment.
I have been buying a bunch of new products to use on the MX-5 when it arrives, but those are mostly last-step products or equipment, and not the staples that I use for every wash/detail.

Brake buster is fine if your wheels and tires are clean. But I did this straight. It’s overrated imo

Great comparison. I agree with you 100%. Brake buster WAY over hyped! Brake nothing

So many sprays for just a half of the tire

It’s just for testing and demonstration. I don’t apply this much typically.

@@gonin60detailing82 in my opinion, if a product is good you shouldn't need to use nearly the whole bottle. If you are reviewing, spray the way a normal person would and let dry after one pasd. See what side of the tire is cleaner, my .2¢
