ADS tire is the best tire cleaner. 1:3 delution is enough for any tires. Much more effective than Brake Buster or Adams

What would be really interesting is to see half the tyre done with this specialist tyre cleaning product and the other half of the tyre done with regular (cheap) household washing up liquid, to see if the extra expense of a dedicated product is actually worth it, and if so what the differences are.

ADS had a recent video where one of the creators recommended after using the ADS Tire Cleaner to also use bug/tar/sap remover. Maybe thats whats causing the browning, but I'm just guessing.

it seems to be that ghost almost requires the mineral spirts cleaning step to work well. people who skip that step seem to have the same issue as you.

It's amazing how much better Ghost held up. Before Fireball was available in the USA, it was made to sound like the be-all end-all of tire shines. Nice vid!

I've been using this for the past few months and the shine/gloss this gives on tires is unmatched by anything else out there on the market. Wet/glossy like a freshly glazed donut. To some that might be a negative but I like my tires to be as glossy as my car's paintwork. Would let it sit on the tire for at least an hour before driving off and I get at least 2 weeks longevity out of it on my daily driver. Fantastic product and would highly recommend for anyone looking for that super wet look shine on your tires.

I’ll have to check out your application video. I’ve had Ghost on for nearly a month, several washes and it’s still very clearly there. Prep is key. I have one vehicle where Ghost wore off in similar conditions, and that was on me. I should have wiped with a solvent like KCx Tea. Stoners Tar Remover is another good one for really stubborn tires. Just be sure to wipe up excess or spray into a towel first.

Shine longevity = Extreme Solutions Longevity with a few squirts of TW Graphene Acrylic Tire Shine on an applicator. Nice deep black tire with just the right amount of shine

The biggest things I noticed in your original application video are that you didn't use a solvent to fully remove old dressings (even if you don't think they are there, they are especially if you used any solvent-based dressings previously), and the biggest one is that it looks like you used an old applicator with other dressing in it (maybe i'm wrong), but that will basically make GHOST not bond at all. It needs its own separate applicator and rinsed out after each use. Give that a try, and use it again, plenty of people getting 6-8 weeks of solid results even in harsh Canadian winter if prepped and applied properly. Goodluck!

I have noticed with GHOST for me, even with cleaning the tire well. I apply it and it looks great but after the first drive I am not sure why but it starts to turn brown like yours looks after you cleaned it. Like streaks and in the ribs on the tire. This is with driving it in the perfect dry and the tires dont get dirty from the rain or anything. I am going to try it again with some stronger tire cleaner. But my tires really never get that dirty as I clean my wheels and tires probably 2times a week. as of now I just top them with DIY tire to make them look nice and black again and hide the browning that is showing

The reason why its better than shine supply is because its very high alkaline acid based, not good for you and not safe to get on rims and trims. Shine supply is nonacid and for both tires and wheels. I'll take shine supply as there is no better frequent use wheel AND! tire cleaner. Stuff like car pro retyre and this Armour detail is for every once in a while, on extreme dirty rubber tire only.

Just be careful that the browning you see on a tire isn't actually the anti oxidants from the rubber you're scrubbing off. I use P&S brake buster, scrub down twice with a rinse in between and my tires generally get clean enough. Every now and then it may require 3 scrub downs but usually 2 works.

so 4 to 6 months while parked out in the heat (I assume you washed it frequently), and no top up layer? not bad for a $25 product.

I have some but yet to get to use it. I had new UHP all seasons put on the GR but toyota used a ton of lube and its taking forever to wear off and nothing will clean it off. its like 95% gone so hopefully next car wash I will finally get to use the Ghost

The one thing is, forst come ready to use, surfex is dilutable. Forst clean well because it come ready to use. Any pre wash would do the same if it was undiluted. Here in the uk i pay £16 for a barrel of surfex, forst here in the uk is around £30-£35 a barrel. Surfex is alot better and cost efficient to me

I just tried Macguiers but by hand, good results but not the same as what you have there. Not sure if the before shot on yours is as bad as mine. Think mine is too far gone? Oh... I can't add a picture ... In that case. 👍

Man I love, Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Graphene Acrylic Tire Shine Spray Coating. I have to be honest, I've only gotten into auto detailing back in June 2024 when I found a Armor All 2-in-1 foam cannon at the local supermarket. Since then I have spent thousands on pressure washers, real foam cannons, polishers, etc. But the Turtle Wax Tire coating is the first product I tried since my younger years when everyone used armor all protectant spray. Any way, the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Graphene Acrylic Tire Shine Spray Coating last months for me, I don't run off road, and I don't drive hundreds of miles every month with my car, but I do with my work truck, which I have only applied the Turtle Wax one time and I think it's been 3-4 months but still looks okay. They look clean and black, I don't see any browning, but they are not satin any longer so I've been wanting to re-apply the Turtle Wax to all the cars and trucks I've used it on, 4 in total. Oh, I almost for got to say I also use the Turtle Wax spray to restore the plastic trim on 3 of the vehicles, and it works great for that! The trim on the work truck is going on 3-4 months, it went from that ashy gray color to a nice deep dark color, I believe the Graphene helped in restoring the black color. Now every time it rains the trim on the work truck beads up so nice, and is really easy to clean the water spots off of, again a property of Graphene. The only other tire products I have been wanting to try is Armour Detailing Ghost Tire Sealant, but I plan to keep using the Turtle Wax until I do.

I agree that Maguire's Ultimate Wheel Cleaner is fantastic! I've been happy with all the products I've tried in their Ultimate line. Great video!

Surfex-HD is a great APC(probably the best together with Koch Chemie Greenstar). But you can't compare it to Stjarnagloss Först. That is an agressive pre-cleaner/pre-wash. Also the panel impact ratio is only if you use a foam gun on a pressure washer. Because every combination pressure washer/foam gun is different. It's actually very easy to calculate your PIR. 1. Fill your foam gun with 1 liter water and turn it all the way open on maximum foam. 2. Take an empty bucket. 3. Spray the foam gun empty in the bucket. 4. The amount of water in the bucket is your Panel Impact Ratio. Mine is 11l or 11000ml. So 2% PIR is 11000 x0,02=220ml product in 1000ml or a full foam gun or 110ml in 500ml if you can do your car with a half foam gun bottle. If you use the product in a sprayer you need much less product. And you should compare Touch-Less or Autofoam against Först.

I’ve been using the hybrid solutions wheel and tire cleaner and I’m happy with the results, but I can only do two cars with that bottle so I bought a gallon of the atom will tire cleaner, but I have not tried it yet
