Very useful comparison. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
Interesting video, Austin. I've never personally used a pre-wash, although since I picked up some P&S Absolute I'm thinking about trying that out in a pump sprayer to coat the car before using it as a rinseless wash. Just need the weather to cooperate around here as it's been raining so much I haven't had a chance to wash the cars.
Right on! How’s the Miata?
@@gonin60detailing82 It's finally supposed to reach the port in Baltimore tomorrow according to the ship tracking sites I've been following. From there it should go to processing where they'll add the Port Installed Options, and then finally on to the dealership. With any luck I'll have it in a week or two.
@@saviordream so exciting!!!
@@gonin60detailing82 Definitely! Hopefully the weather will have settled by then so that I can actually have nice weather to drive it around in!
Forst is by far the best citrus pre-cleaner I have ever used...and I've tried more than a few!! It is a staple in my detail/cleaning regiment. It is absolute fire !
Hey there! I completely agree. I was let down by Surfex HD and I ran the dilution stronger.
I find surfex at 2% is great for household use, 10% for wheel prewash, bike chains and hot sausage fat and there's many other prewashes I'd prefer to use on the bodywork, but 5% is adequate. Versatile product and in the UK is dirt cheap.
Cheers for the demos
Thanks for watching!
Surfex-HD is a great APC(probably the best together with Koch Chemie Greenstar). But you can't compare it to Stjarnagloss Först. That is an agressive pre-cleaner/pre-wash. Also the panel impact ratio is only if you use a foam gun on a pressure washer. Because every combination pressure washer/foam gun is different. It's actually very easy to calculate your PIR.
1. Fill your foam gun with 1 liter water and turn it all the way open on maximum foam.
2. Take an empty bucket.
3. Spray the foam gun empty in the bucket.
4. The amount of water in the bucket is your Panel Impact Ratio.
Mine is 11l or 11000ml. So 2% PIR is 11000 x0,02=220ml product in 1000ml or a full foam gun or 110ml in 500ml if you can do your car with a half foam gun bottle.
If you use the product in a sprayer you need much less product.
And you should compare Touch-Less or Autofoam against Först.
Ok
Bilt Hamber touchless is what you want for your pre wash or Auto Foam
I agree! I got surfex hd after I saw several tests as a pre wash and everyone raved about it.
Never tried Stjarnagloss but i feel they are over priced for what you get. Never bought into the Bilt Hamber stuff either. I like Power clean, All Clean or one of the 3D APC like the citrus cleaner
All good products too!
Superior Muscle Magic 1 gal $11 or Road Warrior if really bad $14 Dilute at least 10 to 1 for either. Superior Orange Blast is citrus based and can also be diluted 10 to 1 $36 for 1 gal.
Thanks
The one thing is, forst come ready to use, surfex is dilutable. Forst clean well because it come ready to use. Any pre wash would do the same if it was undiluted. Here in the uk i pay £16 for a barrel of surfex, forst here in the uk is around £30-£35 a barrel. Surfex is alot better and cost efficient to me
Ok
Good comparison, i have been watching your videos and i like your criteria.
If you have to apply a ceramic coating again to your car, what would be your go to?
My 3 options are: BC7, DIY 5 and ADS what you think? 🤙🏽
Thank you very much! I have heard great things about all three of those. However, I haven’t used either of them. I haven’t used a ton of ceramic coatings to be honest. I only have experience with two somewhat legit coatings. Have done several spray on. So I too am in the market
Forst is the best. cleans better
@@vestervester9402 I agree
