That car was prepared in advance , no way the top pinch bolt comes out that easy , where are the really helpfull tips on how to get out a frozen pinch bolt?, Actually no need to remove the bottom ball joint, but does make it easier to get strut out if you do.

Not on the A4 as you can't access the top nut of the damper on the car so the top arms have to come out with the strut
