I know this was 3 years ago, but it was beautiful! I'm so pleased to see someone else showcasing British native fish. I'm going to try and do 3 spined sticklebacks in my own tank - the US are so lucky to have so many more native fish species that fit in smaller tanks, but we have some too!
One of your proud fan here i have now succesfully breed neons, after carefully watching all your fish breeding videos.... you are a great teacher mark.... 🙏namasthe master ji🥰😊
Although it's not my scene Mark I did find it very interesting. Took me right back to my childhood and I'm now 72. Never miss your Videos they are great. Thanks Tugger Edinburgh Scotland
I absolutely love the natural look of this set-up. A little bit of algae is no big deal, it's in just about every river stream and pond I've ever seen. The fish don't like pristine, we only keep our tanks that way for our benefit, the fish are much happier in this sort of set-up.
I love it. Like a slice of nature in your workshop. I very nearly did a native river fish tank but got piranhas instead. Great to see it flourishing. Good job 👏 👍 💚💙💚💙💚💙
Beautiful tank perch are one of my favorote fish and i had a golden rudd in my pond and years ago i had a roach rudd hybrid that i caught and put if it my pond dont have my pond anymore the window exploded
The wall looks great, you might want to remove the tropical Dracaena (now Sanseveria family) out and put in a Maidenhair fern that should love the constant trickling water over rocks. One way to do in the blue green algae is leave the lights out for 3 or 4 days. Or,reduce the number of hours per day on the tank. That's a more permanent way. 8 hours is plenty. Could try it.
I love, love your paludarium! Native fish is about the only thing that would have looked right in this. Great job. We have yellow perch that look simular to clown loaches on the coloring. I may setup a native tank just for them. Va, 🇺🇸
looking good I think the flow is a bit much though for most of the fish you have gone for most of them seem to best in lodges and your setup to me seems more like a stream with the extra flow you have added and being on a timer might confuse and stress them
Beautiful Mark, fantastic. Coming from the Channel Islands, when did you discover our superb mainland river species? I have a community planted tank and today l got myself 5 cherry shrimp to hopefully start a colony in an established empty aquarium. This hobby is great. 🍀
What is that feathery plant called? Is it Cobomba, Hornwort, or Milfoil? Also if you want to reduce Cyanobacteria, add more plants to reduce light to the bottom. Water Lilies and duckweed will help. Also add in some reed plants like Water reeds and cattails. Any tall plants that will grow emergent and still goble up the nutrients. Native Irises too are good.
do you have any problems with humidity or large amounts of evaporation on this tank i would love to make a tropical version of one of these but was worried i may get damp problems and large amounts of condensation
Question where did you get your Paluderium from cos most places ive looked its ether 400l or 100l and i kinnda want a 150 so 500l one to go in a wall but can't find any any help as another british hobbiest
Really enjoyed watching this.

Yes mate you absolutely right! I just love the natural way it looks. 😀👍
Just found you channel mate love it 👍🏻👍🏻
Very natural looking setup! Perfect!
Surely for authenticity the floats should be hanging from the branch of a tree above the water, like every fishery I've ever been to! 😂
Im usually the one losing the floats haha 🤭
definitely it would be more realistic yet comical I've lost count how many times I've put my waders on and retrieved the mess newbies leave 👍
Mark, you got a good mention on Dan's Fish this week 👍
That's nice. What time in the video.
@@MARKSAQUATICS around 28 mins into his most recent live stream with the gold white cloud. He is discussing breading them. 👍
Beautiful. You have some awesome tanks. 🐟🌿👍😄
Thank you 😀👍
Fantastic wildlife 🐟🐟🐠🐠 indoor tank 🦉
Hello Mark the mirror carp looking good love the silver scales on them . They will be amazing looking when full grown.
Natural looking perfection, a real feather in your cap👌🏻
Finally the best looking local fish arrived
So beautifully grown in :)
Thank you! 😊
Looking good mate,I had some perch in one of my tanks a few years ago, lovely fish and once settled are awesome to watch hunt etc.
Their awesome 🐟 😀👍
Nice tanks. It looks like a natural environment in the big one.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

so natural looking mark, good job
Thank you 😊
Looks really good Mark. I'd love to keep some Perch in an aquarium but I think they'd struggle indoors with the heat.
They should be ok. Shallow ponds get quite warm in the summer and do okay.
Paladarium looks amazing! Great job!
Beautiful tank perch are one of my favorote fish and i had a golden rudd in my pond and years ago i had a roach rudd hybrid that i caught and put if it my pond dont have my pond anymore the window exploded
All for the love of fish. :-)
Nice!!
Over here in Australia growing up I had a huge tank with a bunch of silver perch and a Murray cod. They were with me for like 15 years
Looks great Mark. Good job Geezer.

I've lived in Wales for nearly 20 years now. I just love the all the rivers and fish species we have here.
You can take cuttings of the creeping Jenny and plant them directly in the substrate of any tank and it will thrive submerged as well as emergent.
That's looking really good I'm pleased to see I was wrong about the cement and ph levels
7:41 me when i hear the doorbell
You need a motor-pike and side - carp in that garage of yours! 😂😂 Enjoyed it mate!
👍
😂👍
Ive been wanting to do a perch tank for a while, and mass breed guppies to feed them.
Nice. How i wish i can have one as big as this or even bigger. I'll start looking for my wish fairy.
I feed my perch worms and my Rudd eat the koi food. Love my natives
Love this tank, proper job. Although I'd of gone for crucian carp as there are only real native carp. ;)
are they what we call old English carp if so I agree it is coming along nice though
Great video ! How easy would u say stickl backs are to keep?
Paludarium looking fantastic. I could sit and watch it for hours. Will the perch eat the stickleback?
They tend to leave them alone. Probably because of their dorsal spines.
Nothing to do with the vodeo here mark but i thought it was really funny my new kitten just pounced on you at the beggining of the video lol 😂
Brilliant 😀👍
i want to see a video of you breeding Columbian tetras /reed tetras or ember tetras pleas .............

Its Hornwort ceratophyllum demersum.

Hi Mark, great setup, do you get any trouble with the perch predating the other fish in the tank? Thanks
Perch being predators you may have to be careful with smaller fish ?
All the fish are to big for the perch to eat.😀👍
Hi, i would love to replicate that but i live in Los Angeles ! Any ideas if UK fish suppliers would ship to me ?
I want to make a British River Formicarium(ants) /Paludarium
