I think this “Ultimate Universe” is more realistic, considering so many people knowing his identity. But, this Peter felt as if he was a lot more careless then the original Spiderman because to me, he had so much to learn but had so little time, what a shame. Both Peter’s were different in a big way, it’s just that I feel more sympathy for this one, considering how more real he is then the other one, which I love! Ultimate spiderman came off as a dick sometimes and was actually pretty angry and used violence to solve a lot of problems tbh. That's the biggest flaw I have with him.
Well the og spidey was made in the 60s so you aren't really supposed to relate to him unless you're in your 60s. That's kind of the whole point of the ultimate universe, updating the heroes. I gotta say, the final battle between Spider-Man and the Sinister Six in Queens is epic AF. The atmosphere around it. Peter is wounded with a gunshot to the abdomen, all of his most deadly enemies are literally on his doorstep, and Peter just goes off and faces them alone, unmasked, for one final stand, not even caring that his neighbors were seeing him without his mask on. The inclusion of Human Torch and Iceman was also a nice touch to give Peter some hope in the battle, although it was short-lived, and even MJ proved useful when she smacked Osborn with that truck. Seriously, if that battle ended up animated, it would be all kinds of epic.

I had the same thought. He's crazy so I guess the oversight gets a pass, but it did make for a cool twist when he finally realized it at the end and opposed Norman
Just to show my age. I remember the first Spider-Man comic. It was like amazing stories or something like that. I know it was three issues . We were heading up North, in the 62 Tempest, so it was sometime in 63 we had stopped in Drayton Plains and Mom ran into SS Kresge. And came out with the usual sub sandwiches , cheese and bologna crackers Sodapop like Vernors and Coca-Cola and comic books. A big stack of comic books. Her normal golden key comic books. You know, Donald Duck, Huey Dewey and Louie , Uncle Scrooge McDuck. And her DC comic books. Mom liked Batman and Superman. Green Lantern The Flash Wonder Woman and Green Arrow. And her usual Archie comic books , you know Betty and Veronica, Jughead , And then this strange brand of comic called Marvel. Where there was this Fantastic Four and an Incredible Hulk. and this kid that got bit by a spider. Mom had an apple crate full of from 1937 to oh say early 60s when I got into it. Golden key comics and DC Comics Archie comic books , Little Lulu and tubby. Richie Rich Casper the Friendly Ghost. she would go in to the store find the comic book rack look at the first page say read it have the original. And go through a whole rack of comic books. Till she found ones she didn't have. Or hadn't read. Or just thought was interesting and different . I learn to read on comic books, sure you could make out the story by following the pictures. But once you understand the words it had a whole new meaning. I learned about greed and money management from Uncle Scrooge McDuck sure he has like 3 cubic Acres of money still has his first dime and he likes to dive through his money like a porpoise burrow through it like a gopher and throw it up in the air and let it come down and hit him in the head but he knows it's only paper and Metal. I learned to kick ass but don't kill from Batman I learned to be a wisecracking smartass from Spider-Man you get the idea . and mom bought unusual comic books. New books. Anybody else get turned on to kamandi the last boy on Earth because their mother had bought the comic book and had the whole series? Anybody else had to wait till mom finished reading the first issue of The Shadow? Before you could get it? Fighting over the first issue Batman versus Man-Bat? Oh yeah one of her favorite the Metal Men DC. Anybody else's Mother buy X-Men comics for themself? Keep up the good work youngster. You're doing quite well. My mother would have approved.

I know I am late but the reason they didn’t congratulate him on the a’s were because that was a progress report, meaning those were past grades, which also means they did congratulate him in the past for those grades, but for the D, that was a newer grade he had received that’s why they were disappointed
May dad did that when I was in Middle School. Had 5 A’s and a B for the first semester and all he said was, “you know that B can better right?” Didn’t have anything else to say about it. Like, legitimately ignored everything but the “B”. I stopped trying after that. In Hindsight, not the best idea I’ve come up with. 😅
I love how they seriously tied the entire Raimi Trilogy into the comics and made them canon. Not only was the ultimate comics a major inspiration for those films, but to see that Sam Raimi himself appears in the comics is mind blowing
@@KingsNJenssons The Rami movies are heavily influenced by the classic spider-man stories and villains, hence why he was so much more in favor of using sandman over vennom despite the studio pushing for Venom.
Having powers doesn't make you a mutant, to be a mutant you need to be born with those abilities, so deadpool and spider-man doesn't count as "mutants"
He is always classified as a mutant, even tho he's not, like a lot of games, specifically marvel contest of champions, but he is associated with them so I guess that's why
This was sad as hell. The fact Norman came back from the dead stronger and stronger, killed his own son and killed peter. The fact his life goal was for filled at the end makes him such a good villain.
The last page of this series is truly heartbreaking. Peter, a teenager, got super powers that he didn't really want. He became a hero even though everyone thought of him as a villain. In the end he gives his life for everyone, especially the ones he loves. I actually cried at the end. Spiderman is one of my favorite heros in marvel. He's so HUMAN, he doesnt try to be a paragon of justice. He's just a high schooler with spider powers thrust into something far greater then he could even imagine. Rest in peace Peter, ya did good kid.
Ultimate Peter is easily one of the greatest Spidermen to ever live, gave everything he could to protect the world despite never reaching his true potential.
I was playing ps4 and listening to this guy and then immediately stopped after he started telling the story intensely and epic lol. Imagine this guy reading his kids comic books before bed haha.
this man is such an amazing narrator, i was on the edge of my seat the whole 3 hours 43 minutes and 34 seconds. And i just absolutely love this story, and this guy told it perfectly, keep up the good work!
The problem with Spiderman comics is how little help he gets for how much he gives. The " teams" rarely ever help him with problems in his city even though he is usually the first person on scene when they need it.
Can we just admire how a 16 yr old kid literally took out however many villains that are stupid strong that shield couldn’t even contain by him self while being wounded by a gunshot wound
That's why hes called the ULTIMATE Spider-man. Not even 616 Peter could take on the sinister 6 all at once when he was just starting out. In the og tales he had to divide and conquer. This Spidey? He just keeps on GOING and does it all with a 50 CALIBER RIFLE wound in his gut
Seriously, there is something to appreciate out of every one of Spider-Man’s comic book adaptations. However, maybe it’s because I grew up in the 2000’s, but the Ultimate comics will always be my favorite. They were so fresh and innovative, yet so true to the source material. Everything just felt...right. Nothing is perfect, but I’ll always regard the Ultimate Spider-Man comics as the closest that superhero adaptations have ever gotten to that one word. 💯
I absolutely loved the illustrations and writing in this story ark. Both Gwen and MJ in this story add a story we couldn’t see in both Tobey and Andrew’s movies

Ultimate Spiderman video game was a gem of its time. It started off where Eddie got the symbiote. I wish they would've included all of this, as a continuing to the game.
You skipped the end where he got to review his life. As much as I don't like kid hero/villains and I believe death needs to mean something in comics. This one had me in tears the first time I read it. Awsome story
This episode may have been long but the story was great all together like this and the shocking events had impact as you watch Peter grow as a hero, making relationships, and overcoming the odds. This is by far my favorite version of Peter Parker (Ultimate Spider-Man RIP)
Thank you, Benny… This was the series that I ALWAYS come back to because his narration of it was so GOOD. Rest in peace, knowing how much of an impact you have made for all of us. We will NEVER forget you.
As compelling as the ultimate universe is, I hate how despicable Furry, shield, the FBI, CIA, The Ultimates, especially Captain America are. The death of Spider-Man is really the fallout of people wanting to win a war that they created.
Tony was one of the few people who actually cared for peter. Ultimate Cap is just a Hypocrite and an Ass. acting like he didn't want to put peter in jail for a mistake that cap himself caused.
I actually really like shield and fury in the ultimate universe because they are exactly what those organizations are in real life. Grey. Corrupt. There's good people in there as well as a lot of bad. A powerhouse organization with too much a power and too much pressure from the USA to be relevant and useful to validate their funding. So, they created their own supervillains. Similar to America funding bin laden before he went rogue. Idk it just feels kinda authentic. Like nick is a lawful neutral character who's capable of evil and good. Personally if shield is just a squiky clean organization and Nick is more of a hero and less Amanda Waller, then I'm less interested. Cause at that point its just another classic good v evil. Idk I like the heroes and villains both having to work around the law. Just makes more sense esp when it comes to vigilante work Ultimate Cap tho? Trash
i'm way more intrigued by the parts that they skipped over now, like why did he and MJ break up? why was Kitty expelled from the X-Man, how did Harry become a goblin as well? does anyone knows if there are videos covering those stories? because I'd very much like to watch them
Nieru yeah but those stories are really hard to find online for free sadly I am willing to pay but idk if it’s worth it if the majority of the main plot is spoiled. Also I’m not really sure where miles story starts, if anyone out there know where to find these online pls reply am currently stuck the current Amazing Spider-Man where Peter is like in his 20’s

Ultimate Spider-Man is definitely in my top ten Spider-Man. He’s just almost everything I’d expect out of Spider-Man.
I love how they seriously tied the entire Raimi Trilogy into the comics and made them canon. Not only was the ultimate comics a major inspiration for those films, but to see that Sam Raimi himself appears in the comics is mind blowing
its arguable that the 90s spiderman cartoon is a major inspiration for the sam raimi flims hell there are parts that are shot for shot the same

Having powers doesn't make you a mutant, to be a mutant you need to be born with those abilities, so deadpool and spider-man doesn't count as "mutants"

Spiderman is one of my favorite heros in marvel. u know what i'm mad about peter said he'll stall them until the ultimates come but the ultimates never came some team
Exactly
they were basically in their civil war

As compelling as the ultimate universe is, I hate how despicable Furry, shield, the FBI, CIA, The Ultimates, especially Captain America are. The death of Spider-Man is really the fallout of people wanting to win a war that they created.
The x-men weren't that bad to Peter thankfully
Just makes more sense esp when it comes to vigilante work
Ultimate Cap tho? Trash
