Won't have as much room on a 4x8, but I think something just as neat and interesting can be done even in On30 in such a space. I have designed using SCARM an On30 Model RR that will keep me occupied and out of people's hair when I am off work that fits a 4 x 8 table. Carl keep an eye out on the D. L. Hemmingway channel for videos on the Kansas River and Southern.
+Jaw Tooth "On30" means O scale (1:48) modeling a 30 inch gauge track. By happy coincidence, 30-inch track in O scale is the same width as HO scale standard gauge.
this is popular because you can have the big easy fun detail of O scale and run on ho scale track. Bachmann has been adding to it big time. Hard to find a layout that does not have some of their running gear
Hello Dennis, A good place to start is on30annual.com/. For buying trains, track, and accessories, searching eBay for "On30" will help. You can also try www.thefavoritespot.com/ or your local hobby shop. Hope this helps.
Shores Railfan Scott's layout is in his home in the Roseville/Rocklin area, so it's not generally open to the public. He does allow visitors from time to time. You could try contacting him by email through the Northern California Narrow Gaugers' website (www.scottrobertsonon30.com/ND%26AC%20Railroad/NCNG%20On30%20Module%20Club.html)
Sho' nuff would likes to be about an inch tall and find a place on the outskirts of town fer myself. And den mosey on into town once a month or so to get a hot meal at Carols diner. Bout da' onliest thing I would be missing iz a flush terlet.
Beautiful layout. Amazing, but seriously, those two old farts couldn't get out of frame for two frickin' minutes while you were shooting the video?! Spoils your shots.
this is by far a work of art. craftmanship is out standing
Thank you for sharing this beautiful layout!
Great scenery !! Details, weathering......perfect !
I always feel like I need to move into these layouts, and live there. They look to be much more interesting, and attractive life than reality.
Amazing detail well done
Excellent concept and fantastic modelling. A real treat thank you
Excellent layout. . . and I agree, Never Done and Always Changing. . . Love your Details.
I love this model railroad. A real inspiration.

I just spotted the Dead wood hardware store tribute. Neat.
Great Job On The Layout Lots Of Work I Know. Have Been a Layout bldr.since 60👍👍👍
Beautiful...a real ride through mining country...love the junk and debris, too!
junk and debris makes a model ry come to life ...I love it also
Great job. Thanks for sharing.
Sue Line RailRoad by far!
well executed! Bravo!
Really liked the name on the steam boat.
The SS John Allen... a nice touch. So few remember his contribution to HO modeling. Has a Maine 'feel' to it all. Was that the idea?
I noticed your pass cars are shorter, Q... did you cut the bachmanns down, kit bash them?. Love the size!
I know thats a narrow guage railroad but what does On30 mean?

Excellent scenery. It would really be effective if you could get the camera down to street level. Using a mirror maybe? Ronn
Beautiful layout Sir, I am leaving N scale and wish to know where is the best place to buy On30 stuff? thanks

Dennis Browder - how have you made out finding Bachman stuff? It was cheap 5 years ago....now it is hard to find anything with sound much less cheap!
Another choice quality video. Loved the soundtrack. Is Scott's layout open to the public and, if so, where can I enjoy it?
