This layout absolutely is the perfect photograph of life in Appalachia before the logging industry kicked in high gear circa 1920s to 1930s. AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!!
"one of the best..." is certainly not exaggerated ! What an incredible level of detail and realism! The only thing I miss is some cajun music ! It's a real masterpiece !
Yep, just watched it a second time. Got lucky this time again. I have had surprise introductions to alligators and snakes before. But it was safe watching your video. Thank goodness. No misquito bites either. Love your work. Why am I itching?
There is just one thing I would like to add to this vid; don’t focus to much on the train and it’s wagons cos we’ll miss almost the beautiful details which you’ve created with such a passion we’ll see this not to often. Please give us a short peep about the inside of these beautiful houses, trees, rivers and so on. I did even see a pelican sitting and waiting for that fishing guy. It took me back a long long time and somebody who can sculpture this is an awesome artist and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for sharing this beautiful video with me.
There were 3 pelicans,, and a couple egrets too!!,,, Same here tho,, it took me back tot he 60's,, when it WAS like that, and cotton was still around and people just relaxed a bit,,,, great work ya think???
This has to be one of the most imaginative, most creative layouts ever built in On30 to date. Hats off to the builders, my fingers are stuck together imagining the 100% humidity...lol
First time seeing this. I like it. Reminds me of the gulf south here in the US. It could have been south Louisiana or south Carolina. I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and it looks like what we would call ," down in the parish". This would reference areas below New Orleans in the swamps. Must watch again and lookout for alligators this time. Might even see the ghost of Jean Laffite. Best foliage of swamp country I have seen. Thank you very much.
Actually, this layout is called "Muscrat Ramble." It was built in Australia, I think, and is On30 scale, which is 1:48 trains running on HO track. It's in the same building as the Sundance Central, which is 1/20.3 Large Scale, and spectacular.
Absolutely incredible, but coming from the Sundace what else would you expect, Beautiful I thought I was looking at G scale because of the incredible detailing I love the swamp land theme
Wow ... I’m new to the hobby . Had trains as a kid. But want to start again. Can you give a brief summary on how you did your buildings. Great job and thanks for all the hard work.
I reckon it couldn't be so false speaking a bit French, like the Cajon do, down in the swamps! I wanna do some magic spell to get little enough to take a look around in Atchafalaya. Seems to be an interesting little town.
I reckon if you look hard enough there is probably even a bigfoot living in the swamps,, if onlyi could shrink i could move in, such a wonderful reflection of life.
Ey, I wanna make holidays for some weeks in Atchafalaya. Relish some of their tasty alligator recipes and do a bit poker gambling in the local saloon, aso 😉 (Look the details! Even the fitting trees! Man!)
Guess I was too busy earning extra cash to send my kids to college, repairing my home and vehicles to make a model like this. But is it okay if I just sit and watch it? Was that locomotive hand made? Sure don't see anything like that at Walmart.
Of course the title is WRONG! This is NOT an HO scale layout. The scale is 1:20.3. I do like the climax engine. With the larger scale one can get finer detailing.
vid-wise I get a little tired seeing the train/s pass same row boater and others 3-4 times. Would be nice too if a train stopped here and there..But, yes, it is a very very nice MRR...
Your title is misleading....it's neither HO scale nor Sundance. It's from Australia, called Muskrat Ramble, and is O scale. Do a better job in the future.
This is not HO....its On30 and it's the Muskrat Ramble display by a group of Australians. Get your facts straight before publishing false information....geez.
This layout absolutely is the perfect photograph of life in Appalachia before the logging industry kicked in high gear circa 1920s to 1930s. AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!!
5 Stars! This is model railroading at it's finest, the attention to detail is stunning, a fantastic railroad!
Incredible! Absolutely the best I have ever seen in my 76 years.
The amount of detailed trees, each one must have taken hours to get perfect, just amazing :)
This was like a time travel machine. What love and care went into the making of this project. Congratulations!!!
What an amazing lay out! Had to watch twice! The attention to detail was just breath-taking!! Well Done!!
"one of the best..." is certainly not exaggerated ! What an incredible level of detail and realism! The only thing I miss is some cajun music ! It's a real masterpiece !
I absolutely LOVE the deep Southern theme!!! Truly beautiful!!!!
Bordello is a nice touch every layout needs one!
Yep, just watched it a second time. Got lucky this time again. I have had surprise introductions to alligators and snakes before. But it was safe watching your video. Thank goodness. No misquito bites either. Love your work. Why am I itching?

What a treat, just beautiful layout!
This has to be one of the most imaginative, most creative layouts ever built in On30 to date. Hats off to the builders, my fingers are stuck together imagining the 100% humidity...lol
Incredible detail love the year 30’s
So, so impressive attention to detail. In my perfect world ,I'd be magically transported to your layout, and end life there.
10 out of 10 layout. So impressive.

I really like this layout. Attention to detail is phenomenal!
Absolutely incredible, but coming from the Sundace what else would you expect, Beautiful I thought I was looking at G scale because of the incredible detailing I love the swamp land theme

Wow, absolutly splendid, what a fantastic atmosphere, inspiring and superb!😍😍😍
It’s beautiful, along with the Geared steam locomotives too.
Incredible detail for HO. Wow. You could spend an hour just looking at one little section of the layout.
Thank you very much!
Great train layout...very detailed landscape...thumbs up!
INCREDIBLE LAYOUT 👍👍the time & $$$ it took GREAT JOB👏👏👏☝️☝️
I would love to know what is used for sound in the Climax. I have one like it I would love to add sound to it. Beautiful railroad.
That is outrageously fantastic!
Beautifully modeled and expertly shot as always.
Two of my favorite locomotives Bachmann's, on30 Heisler and Climax.
Thank you for all your videos.
Wow ... I’m new to the hobby . Had trains as a kid. But want to start again. Can you give a brief summary on how you did your buildings. Great job and thanks for all the hard work.
Now that is what I call attention to detail.
I think I could go and live in that world !!
Amazing....with Plantation Tara..
Absolutely fabulous!!
I love the train marshal sitting relaxed in the traindoor ❤
Really impressive and very realistico video!!
Thanks for sharing. 👍👍😀😊☺️✌️
Awe ...wow... speechless.
Outstanding
Is it On30? Looks like and is iDed as 1:20.3 (Fn3??)?
Great!! I kept waiting for Django to shoot one of the Brittle brothers running thru the cotton field!
I reckon it couldn't be so false speaking a bit French, like the Cajon do, down in the swamps! I wanna do some magic spell to get little enough to take a look around in Atchafalaya. Seems to be an interesting little town.
You bet it is! 😉
Sin palabras maravilloso trabajo.🤗
Absolutely awesome!!! Thanks for sharing. Cheers
Were is this? Is it open to the public? Very nice
looks so real Nice
I reckon if you look hard enough there is probably even a bigfoot living in the swamps,, if onlyi could shrink i could move in, such a wonderful reflection of life.
OMG ML
very detailed.
Wow!
Nice
Hello,
very nice shots, edited to a great video. I like the video very much. For a thumbs up.
greetings
Joseph
*Awesome. Regards You.*
awesome! my compliments sir
Not HO as title says, 1:20.3 scale, about 4 times larger.
Yes, I'm rather confused by that!
I would have liked a view from above showing the whole layout? amazing layout?
What models of locomotive are shown in the video?
I don't know why, but suddenly I have a craving for fried catfish! Sans gator, if you will.
Wow
Very nice I like it a lot
Looks like larger scale than ho.. so much detail!
Ey, I wanna make holidays for some weeks in Atchafalaya. Relish some of their tasty alligator recipes and do a bit poker gambling in the local saloon, aso 😉 (Look the details! Even the fitting trees! Man!)
nice video 30th like
Badass
Does anyone know what trains were used in this? I love them and am new to the hobby.
That is probably scratch built or built from a kit.
WOW.. Awesome. I want to buy make sure its #nomadeinchina product
The model must be in the open air ,no wall or roof , and the people in the scene must be moving, to still ,as all models show .
That reminds me of listening to Sugar Ray.
Great layout but when a swizzle stick or toothpick appears on the layout at about 5:08 it sort of takes away from the integrity of the work.
The only thing the swamp people care about is that they catch one more catfish
That an peepin at the Huzzies on the second floor, or keepin yer toes away from them blasted gators!! hahaha
Again, also HON3
Guess I was too busy earning extra cash to send my kids to college, repairing my home and vehicles to make a model like this. But is it okay if I just sit and watch it? Was that locomotive hand made? Sure don't see anything like that at Walmart.
Of course the title is WRONG! This is NOT an HO scale layout. The scale is 1:20.3. I do like the climax engine. With the larger scale one can get finer detailing.
nice layout but one glaring error....old weathered wood turns gray
I'd like to give you a thumbs-up But that Thar Gater done bit it clean off .
That aint all hes agonna bit off yo don't watch yoself!! hahahahahaha
Background noise detracts from the video.
HOOOWEEE dem gators sure look hongry.
was thinking that too,, the one got a bird, the second got his azz caught up, and the third was havin that white boy for a snack hahahahaha
I love the detail in the videos BUT you people never show the whole layout from above to give an idea of the lay out? so sad
Dat ol' train went ride on by day hotel full of hussy's liken day twernt even dar.
Them huzzies done got the swamp water fizz hahahahahaa,, gotta go seem a gynocollleeegy hahaahhaha
vid-wise I get a little tired seeing the train/s pass same row boater and others 3-4 times. Would be nice too if a train stopped here and there..But, yes, it is a very very nice MRR...
This is narrow gauge HO, is it not? It looks like it.
This is On3, and not what the title says it it
Your title is misleading....it's neither HO scale nor Sundance.
It's from Australia, called Muskrat Ramble, and is O scale. Do a better job in the future.
It needs more detail. Just not living up to the potential of the amount of details that could be there.
This is not HO....its On30 and it's the Muskrat Ramble display by a group of Australians.
Get your facts straight before publishing false information....geez.
You are right that is On3O scale. Just check this website www.finescalemodeling.org/about-the-center and you'll see... Thank you for your comment!!!
this is a flippin racist railroad layout
Yea I seen that too lol
