I actually enjoyed Digimon Xros Wars. Which is why I was able to see this awesome event as it was unfolding. Guess it goes to show you that you shouldn’t write something off just because it’s different.
No one really talks about it, but Yukio Oikawa, who was the main villain and host of (Malo) Myotismon was turned into a bunch of butterflies at the end of the season Ken, and Matt.
Thanks for watching!! If you want more Digimon discussion, I have a TWO HOUR review of Digimon Ghost Game Episodes 1-67 here: ruclips.net/video/4ZazeNs3fuo/видео.html

@@thedigiknow I mean he is possibly one of the most broken having that confirmed Ultra Mega evolution Digimon on top of it doesn't return to a weaker state making consistently one of the most powerful digimon a digidestine possess
In my opinion Cross Wars (with japanese dub) was one of the stronger season of Digimon as whole. Sure it was something we had to get used to because there were no lfocus on evels anymore like Champion and Ultimate etc. But this way other digimon could shine a bit more here and there. The cool thing was that in the Manga, Digimon Adventure and Cross Wars were connected without a certain event in adventure. Taiki wouldn´t have gotten his Cross Loader and therefore would have saved his digital world.
I’m so upset this never got dubbed Becasue I was invested into the first two seasons and when it just disappeared I was confused till I found out about the last season
Unfortunately during that time even longtime fans only cared about the first 3 seasons and many of them weren't even playing the games. I will probably never know what was up with the fanbase during that time. There was still just as many fans but hardly any of them showed it so japan just pulled the plug on localization. If your fans wont act like fans then why bother? Its something you usually see when fandoms die off bur as far as i can tell there was more than enough fans to sign a succesful petition thaflt saved the series so idk. Its like the fanbase just collectively hit their heads and forgot there was still anime and games and merch being made.😅
@@Coomamon_Memes I felt pretty alienated back then. When they were like nevermind season 1 and 2 were just a tv show this is the real digimon universe.
@@dylansylvester4719 i can see that but i think you are probably the exception not the rule to what i was saying. I lumped the 3rd season in because thats arguably the most popular of the 3 and also when many dipped because of frontier. The ones that stayed however became this kind of ghost fandom thats there but doesnt make itself known. Its fine if people fall out of love with it and im happy that so many of those old former fans came back after tri but idk why so many lifelong fans who never left would sleep on digimon for so long then freak and start petitions when japan pulls localization support. What did you expect would happen? They arent a charity. It so many layers of bipolar. On one hand theres total apathy over something they like which is oxymoronic by itself. On the other they care enough to rally the troops and save it once its in danger of being a jp only series like medabots.
@@dylansylvester4719 come to think of it i felt the opposite of alienated from tamers. I remember seeing takato and how he grew up with the digimon anime and thinking he was just like me in that regard. My child mind that still believed in magic suddenly felt like my own partner digimon could show up any moment. I think thats both the creators intentions and many fans my ages reactions. Maybe you were a bit older?
This video made me remember the absolute banger of a song for the crossover event which is called Legend Xros Wars, which I shall now go and listen to!
I do like that because of, probably, copyright reasons, or budget, they couldn't use the OG sequences, so they decided to go for more of a realistic digivolution sequence. It all looked so good.
I don't think it was copyright issues! Maybe budget? But I got the impression they just wanted to 'recreate' the sequences instead of pulling old footage, and I think it's better for it.
I've seen edits of the Sequences being added and it was more than 10 minutes of screen time. So there were a lot of Time Constraints. As for the Dub, I don't know if they could pull it off because Data Squad is the only Season that doesn't have an official release.
I remember it was great to see all protagonist all together and fight along side with each other, especially with Mimi and Rika/Ruki standing together. I still have hopes that Toei could do this again in the future with reboot 2020 and Ghost Game, never say never. Also, I found this animation error long time ago, (5:47) Ken has the eyes of "Digimon Kaiser/Emperor", cuz if he and Davis/Daisuke working together, he should be with "kindness" eyes expression.
I loved the crossover episodes so much and hoped they would last longer, though I always felt like Takuya was underwhelming. It kinda felt like we didn't see the same hype the other protagonists got and also being weakened. I still can't see why Aldhamon would be so ineffective against the enemy, while the other partner Digimon go in for a murder spree. Especially Susanoomon should have been able to do short process with the entire situation. Shinegreymon even is a Burst Mode, couldn't he have walked over all the Myotismons single handidly?
Xross hunters definitely was a mixed bag. Personally I preferred act2 of Xross wars the most (the death generals one) as that had the most coherent story. Hunters never felt right to me but I stuck with it and got rewarded with this and a newfound respect for the Xross wars story. Hard to believe it has already been over 10 years...
If they do a sequel they should go nuts and pull on multimedia. V-Tamer Taichi, Mameo, Mirei. Imagine "we need an army" and then Story, 02's International DigiDestined, and Xros crews just plain bring one in!
Damn that would be an army. Just adding in the tamer union from the ds games would add a huge amount of manpower. It have to be a crazy threat to need that kind of clap back but oh boy would it be epic to see the every main character from every piece of media lead an army of union tamers, international digidestined, hackers from cyberslueth etc etc. Absolutely wild idea and im all here for it.
@@Twilord_ i remember bemmon from digimon world 3s end goal was to fuse with the earth to become gaiamon, the most powerful digimon and go on a universe destroying tirade. A parallel timeline where he succeeded and went for the multiverse after would definitely count as an avengers level threat like that. Its supposedly so powerful that despite being made in 2003, they never even bothered giving it concept art because they are worried about writing themselves into a corner if it ever got used. The entire digimon multiverse team up would probably be a decent way to do it though idk where they would go from there. Either full reboot the series or shelf it. You cant even soft reboot and continue using the old canon like with adventure 2020 and tri canon because how do you one up it?
That is a great pick for a potential villain. Personally I am still curious about what happens with The Eaters post Cyber-Sleuth. I know they were reset but... they still exist, and the nature of their exist still raises questions.
@@Twilord_ based on in game dialogue I imagine they come from a world with a master eater that sends out lesser eaters to other worlds with a mother eater to give orders and they just hamlessly travel about unnoticed, collecting data and sending it home. The eaters we saw were all collectors and the mother eater was there to oversee them but they started to evolve like d-reaper and take it too far. I imagine before that they jusy copied the data and ate the memory of the interaction but im guessing it got way too curious about digimon evolution and decided to actually eat data or fuse with it which slippery sloped into attempting to consuming and assimilating the entire digital world and then going for earth. They are supposed to be like record keepers cataloging everything ever for some probably benign but unknown purpose. Maybe no reason at all even besides curiosity. Theres supposedly a new story game in the works. Maybe its part of the cyberslueth canon and they will expand on it.
The funny part is how we have like 3, 4 if you count the psp game, diferent versions of Taichi, the manga, the og anime, 2020 anime, and the psp videogame
Wow, I had no idea this existed. Glad you made the video and RUclips's algorithm decided to suggest it to me. It's also a nice blast from the past for me having grown up with the very first season.
The first two seasons of xros wars were my first digimon shows so it's nice to see someone talking about it, I didn't really like the last season when I did watch it but this episode makes it just a little bit better
I hope they have another crossover ep with Parallelmon as villain and Taichi V Tamer as protagonist, oor Milleniummon as villain with Ryo as Protagonist. Both Taichi V tamer and Ryo is the only two protagonist that i know who can/sometime travel across the multiverse. Oh yeah, there's Rina Shinomiya too
All this did is make me want to rewatch the whole series again. So much nostalgia. I thought this was going to be clickbait but the fact it's real would make this all worth it.
I have a new Digimon series in the works called "Digimon Making the Grade" where it has characters from ALL the Digimon seasons attending school while trying to save the Digital World!
I was a fan of the Xros Wars series, but I was not a fan of the young hunters' portion. But this crossover was indeed the best part of the fight at the end of it.
I remember seeing this on youtube in 2014 and thinking it was cool as hell and wanted to check out the season. It got me back into digimon and it will always be special to me.
I hadn't kept up with Digimon since the third season, but randomly decided to jump back in and watch the one with Marcus and then Xros wars (and caught up long before the crossover). Getting to watch this, and do so without really knowing that it was coming, was so exciting!
This season too kind it did something that you wouldn't believe. Three things in season two happened in the season three Carrie became a teacher Tokto mom Wanted to own a bakery in season two And the digimon king was In season two a foreign air deuce in season three as the king of digimon
I love being a Digimon fan! I still think that "Digimon Fusion - Season 3" should be dubbed in English now, and so do the other Digimon series & movies as well. Watching this crossover episode would be totally exciting for sure. I hope it gets dubbed in English soon. 💻📺🎙🎥🗽
I actually rly enjoyed Xros war part 3 and rewatched it trice already. It has less episodes so it doesn't take too long to go through and it focus more on characters and their dynamic than Digimon battles, which as grownup is the part i enjoy more actually. Those cheesy one shot filler battle of many Digimon series has grown out of my preference now.
I remember watching Hunters after Xros Wars brought me back into Digimon all those years ago, and back then, i didn't even know any of those legendary heroes other than Masaru/Markus, but even i can still feel the epicness of that moment, can't imagine the feeling of those who does. Truly, the only good thing to ever came out of Hunters (other than the OP song maybe)
@@flainfan Brazil... streaming services have different contents depending on region so I thought that this season was on crunchy but not on brasil crunchy
This was a really strange episode, but still a great one. Every digimon season is so different that when you combine their characters, it forms into something really nostalgic yet confusing. Definetly glad they did this though, I feel like bringing back the old characters is the best way to bring back lots of their audience.
I read about this and decided to watch Xros Wars without knowing when this will happen. I thought they would "collect" the heroes. Boy was I wrong, and buckled in for an adventure!
You explaining this is just what I needed. This is fuckin sick, thank you. And like you said it does suck that it's kinda buried in a season I very much skipped out on But I've loved all of the other seasons and this is very cool to see, especially all the call backs as well to the past seasons. Also that powerangers episode with all the red rangers was an amazing childhood moment for me, I wanna rewatch it now lol cuz I hadn't since like a little bit after its release probably
Many fans never saw it because it never aired. The german dub of season 6 was so bad, they only released the first 30 episodes and we never got any other Digimon season here since. 😢

This was one of the few digimon things I’ve never saw at all, saw fusion and actually like it. Didn’t know there was a third 3 till watching this. Found where I watch it, annoying it’s only one one streaming site not even the illegal sites have it, But watched all of season 3 and loved it. And the end was bloody brilliant
I remember watching the dub of Xros wars and I only got to see the two seasons that were dubbed. I've only recently found out about the third season but haven't had a chance to watch it. I definitely need to watch it so I can see this epic moment.
Like you said this teamup aired at a time when Digimon was at a low point. Xros Wars wasnt received well and had some major issues and the sequel tried to fix a little bit of that, but didnt get enough time to do so and was rushed as hell. The second half of Xros wars hunters was dedicated to the team up and thats what everyone remembers about the season. The teamup was fucking awesome! However the rest of the show was forgotten and didnt matter all that much. Also Baguramon being the old man was a crazy reveal and people are argueing to this day if its true or not :D
One thing that’s even cooler, is how the Xros Wars manga handles it! (Also, the way they make Taiki’s dream relevant, and explain how he got the dream-vision)
Watching this made me remember everything not the names and I don't recognize the others I only remembered the 5 teens who went to weird bullet train that can transform into a creature and maximum was 2 ,3 people looking like adults with monsters and they had a crossover with the 5 teens and digimon and also I remembered my baby memory like what all I saw was blurry and my dad saying I need to leave for work stay ok such good memorys😪
When I figured to rewatch Digimon series, when I only at watched as kid on tv, on RUclips. I didn't know about anime as somebody else from cartoons at the time. I found out about Digimon Data Squads/Savers and Digimon Fusion/Xross Wars. I watched Data Sqauds/Savers after Frontiers but when trying to watch Fusion/Xross Wars it wasn't dubbed to English so, at the time I couldn't get into it. Maybe when I got around Fusion/Xros Wars or earlier, I little by little I started understanding what is anime. And undertood that Digimon is anime. I guess at some point I need to re-watch Digimon series in Japanese with English subs when I have used to watching animes like that for long time.
Contrary to most i actually enjoyed digimon hunters... Clearly it's not perfect but it's a fun watch... But when the other tamers from other digimon series started appearing... The hype was there... I remember watching this with excitement... I just wished the evolution scenes is like as they were in their respective series but it's a minor nitpick... And i do wish Appmon and Ghost game appear in the next crossover...
Was always curious how this episode went down cause the snippets that went online were cool. Sadly never got around to it cause it was one of the seasons that was never dubbed. Shame too
I paused the video just to say thank you for using the English names. Maybe it's because I grew up actually watching digimon in 1999 but all I know are the English names. So when I watch random videos and they use Japanese names I have no clue who they're talking about cause I've never watched subbed and don't. I did watch up until season 4 or frontier? They became digimon themselves. So anything after that I just don't know. But wanted to say thank you for sticking to English names, if anything for the old folks who watched it air

I honestly don't understand why people hate Xross wars. The third season was episodic and kinda boring, but the first two seasons were just so awesome. It's been a while since I last watched it, so hopefully, it's still up on RUclips, but somebody made a cut of the legendary heroes with their respective original evolution sequences edited in for that extra nostalgic kick. Of course, this does mean We Are Legend Heroes keeps getting interrupted by the previous seasons' respective evolution songs as it's doing its best to bring the appropriate level of hype on its own.
I’m late to the party but if they pull something like this off again, they should go with Last Kizuna era Sora and have her take part in the battle with Hououmon, giving another explaination as to why her Digivice countdown was so far ahead of Yamato’s and Taichi’s 🫡

I find the leader = has goggles funny cause the leader of digimon savers doesn’t have goggles and he’s right there
No one really talks about it, but Yukio Oikawa, who was the main villain and host of (Malo) Myotismon was turned into a bunch of butterflies at the end of the season Ken, and Matt.
*and appears behind Ken and Matt.
Thanks for watching!! If you want more Digimon discussion, I have a TWO HOUR review of Digimon Ghost Game Episodes 1-67 here: ruclips.net/video/4ZazeNs3fuo/видео.html
if your talking Taichis meeting shouldn't you also included V Tamer 01 not only is he one of the ones who does have an Agumon but he is also one of the only ones baring the xros wars one who knows about the multiverse . . .and is weirdly the oldest one because his age is set in 1977 adventures is set in 1987

what is this? a crossover episode?
@@Dubs22005 yes there was a cross over episode 11 years ago in xros wars' second season finale everyone this happened
I remember being both so hyped and extremely letdown by that crossover episode. They show up, do one thing, and that was it.
I know just like in some power rangers episodes, seasons when they have anniversary crossover
thank you for putting this out, this will make every digiomon fan happy
In my opinion Cross Wars (with japanese dub) was one of the stronger season of Digimon as whole. Sure it was something we had to get used to because there were no lfocus on evels anymore like Champion and Ultimate etc. But this way other digimon could shine a bit more here and there.
The cool thing was that in the Manga, Digimon Adventure and Cross Wars were connected without a certain event in adventure. Taiki wouldn´t have gotten his Cross Loader and therefore would have saved his digital world.
Seeing somebody punch a digimon will always be funny it reminds me of when ash tried to throw hands wit mewtwo lmao
I mean no one wants to watch mistranslated anime.
I wasn’t a big fan of Hunters, but this was a treat.
When I noticed Owikawa's butterflies in the background i choked up.
Let's not forget the song played there made a debut, they want the song to be split because of the digivolution sequences.
I've seen edits of the Sequences being added and it was more than 10 minutes of screen time. So there were a lot of Time Constraints. As for the Dub, I don't know if they could pull it off because Data Squad is the only Season that doesn't have an official release.
They should have made this much longer giving each character a time to shine and everyone meet each other not just glimpses of them
I remember it was great to see all protagonist all together and fight along side with each other, especially with Mimi and Rika/Ruki standing together.
I really loved the crossover so much it was cool seeing the characters interact together
I love Digimon... I frigging love it... and I had no idea this crossover even existed!
Xros Wars season 2 was episodic just like Ghost Game, but more cohesive.
Same director
I forgot how big Imperialdramon is that boys been drinking his milk
@@Coomamon_Memes "Ultra Apocalymon Alter Quartz - The Eaten D-Reaper"
Nothing like Marcus giving Mega love Digimon the hands 🤣🤣🤣
As someone whose introduction to Digimon was XROS, it's nice to see that season get some mentions lol
Glad the video found you! Thanks RUclips algorithm :)
Oh yeah, there's Rina Shinomiya too
yes!
REALLY wish we could've gotten this in English TBH.
It’s too bad we lost both Joe and Mimi’s VA.
All this did is make me want to rewatch the whole series again. So much nostalgia. I thought this was going to be clickbait but the fact it's real would make this all worth it.
Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. I didn't even know this existed until now, and I am glad I found out.
if you notice at 3:54 you can see marcus dislocated arm for to much punching a digimon
I have a new Digimon series in the works called "Digimon Making the Grade" where it has characters from ALL the Digimon seasons attending school while trying to save the Digital World!
Hopefully we can get another crossover someday.
It's still crazy how much bigger Imperialdramon fighter mode is compared to the other Digimon
Three things in season two happened in the season three
Carrie became a teacher
Tokto mom Wanted to own a bakery in season two
And the digimon king was In season two a foreign air deuce in season three as the king of digimon
Its a shame that this part didn't got dubbed to english and other western languages.

Yeah. Thankfully it’s on Crunchyroll so I was at least able to watched the subbed version.

This was a really strange episode, but still a great one. Every digimon season is so different that when you combine their characters, it forms into something really nostalgic yet confusing. Definetly glad they did this though, I feel like bringing back the old characters is the best way to bring back lots of their audience.
The Digimon Cross Wars Crossover Eps.was Major fun for Digimon fans.

Bruh...wtf I never knew this even existed...Holy moly this is amazing, I almost started crying.
Good timing with explaining this since we get the pack all about this cross over, BT12 in the English Digimon Card game later this month.
Never knew about this episode. Thanks from an old fan who remembers forever red.
Xros wars is my favorite season. the second season of Xros wars was absolute hype from start to finish.
I’m a weirdo. I’m also a die hard digimon fan. I really enjoyed Xwars. I thought it was cool. The third season is where I was fully invested.
I adore Hunters more than I liked the rest of Xros Wars so I’m happy to see this! 💖

This was one of the few digimon things I’ve never saw at all, saw fusion and actually like it. Didn’t know there was a third 3 till watching this. Found where I watch it, annoying it’s only one one streaming site not even the illegal sites have it,
But watched all of season 3 and loved it.
I’ve never seen these episodes and man I’m gonna watch it because as I watched this review maaaaan I got chills
One thing that’s even cooler, is how the Xros Wars manga handles it!
(Also, the way they make Taiki’s dream relevant, and explain how he got the dream-vision)
Oh, I remember that crossover fondly.
This crossover was enjoyable but very weird when I first saw it.

For the first times we had digidestined that were all rivals at the beginning. And the third season, even being episodic, had the best final episode ever. People should give Xross Wars the deserved love.
There's only two seasons of Xros Wars. The second season is the young hunters.

2. Angie and jeremy didnt get a xros loader till the very end of xros hunters meaning anyone who saw fusion never saw this happening

Those crossover episodes are the only ones that I watched of that season. Such a hype🤣
I remembered this, i was doing my thesis during this time. My brain was not working afterwards because of the nerdgasm it gave me.
i would love a sonic generations type beat where they have to fight buffed versions of past enemies but its just a full crossover season, would be difficult with voiceactors though
