Expresses each musical idea with the precision of a surgeon, and at the same time, with the curiosity and wonderment of a child. One of the best performances I’ve experienced.
No one plays Chopin like this. Pure romance.

Zimerman?
@@thomasjohnston8970 yes. Zimerman is the best of the best. Incomparable.
@@rngsl123 Zimerman is born for Chopin, for all kind of his compositions !
Rubinstein maybe ?
What a heart-wrenchingly powerful interpretation! The distinct approach to each variation on the theme, and especially the clarity of the coda really bring out the passion and beauty in this piece. Bravo, Ingolf Wunder!
Fantastic interpretation! Powerful and colourful!
One of the best interpretations for this piece. The view count doesnt give it justice
Best performance ever, imho. Sublime.
Fantastic playing of the coda!
Really touching execution; the sound is always clear, round.
In addition I personally find the exposition of the theme wonderfully balanced…
It goes straight to the heart🎹
Chopin's music & heart is obviously in Ingolf Wunder's soul.
This guy is a really gifted interpreter. His technique is so polished & clear. I'd keep my eye on him. He's gonna go far.
He already has since 2010. Check him out closer.
One of the best ever
To think, this Ballad is technically the heaviest of the 4.
holy shit i want to buy this guy a beer
Or two!!!!😆😆
Not sure which one is better. His suit jacket or his playing? hmm
yeah like that color of that jacket
@@agamaz5650 What color is it? Best I can come up with is cassis.
BTW, I am truly awed by him.
@@kathrynmcmorrow7170 brown maybe haha, looks like something chopin would wear
@@agamaz5650 Well,...he DID.!
poetische, surreale (Traum-)Welten werden hier vor allem evoziert - konzentriert, intim, bedingungslos: SPLENDID!!!!!
This pianist makes this ballad that I’ve been enamored of for decades sound like a solar system of the most beautifully, perfectly formed pearls possible. With the radiant diamond sun! PWG
Like Charles Richard Hamelin, just criminal that he didn't win 1st prize.
Wholeheartedly agree. Seems to be a weird trend at the moment. Happened last year in 'BBC Young Musician of the Year'.
Masterpiece.
@@ric55 What happened there?
He won concerto price and it was a fair judge
Well Cho is amazing . But I can't really say who was better in 2010 competition
Great job. Best played with a bit more tragedy than beauty.
He looks like the chap who played Mozart in Amadeus
Sublime d'élégance
10:27 perfect end
Космически одарённый музыкант ! Хочется услышать новые творческие проекты .Пожалуйста , предоставьте , с благодарностью !
WONDERFUL
or should you say *wunderful*
I am a true believer in Ingolf Wunder! PWG
The most sensitive rendition of this piece - that I have heard
BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
better than all judges
Danimar da Silva hell no
@@CobraBoss23 ok
@@CobraBoss23 He's better than most of them. Not Argerich though... not yet.
@@pubgplayer1720 Argerich is more technique and tempo. And to think, she is said to be a pupil of Stefan Askenase!!!!!
Well...wonders have not yet left us.On the other hand, her 2nd teacher was Friedrich Gulda. And that makes things clearer to me!!!
@@pubgplayer1720 He's WAY better than fartgerich

Gehört fast verboten, wie der spielt. Wie genial er Akzente setzt, wo keiner sonst sie setzt. Fantastisch.
very nice
Better than lang^2
Lang Lang Lang Lang?
Anyone is better than lang lang
@@Smortnt I mean, you’re probably not as good, nor ever will be.
yo you there? me also here

Phrases from 10:20,
How do you play this nuance like Rubinstein?
So good
So much better than Yulianna Avdeeva
Really?
I think she's the next Martha Argerich. So I guess we have a difference in opinion. She's appearing with the LA Phil in May. I wish I had the money see hear and may always regret that I didn't. The more I hear her, the more her genius is apparent.@Phoenix Saxophone Lessons by Jason Lesker
i think especially the the ballada is the reason why avdeeva won. Her playing with gravity and natural physics is just astonishing
Agreed man. He should've won
Definitely
10:50 when you see your ex girlfriend

Wow, what a trustful source of information.
What??
Let’s be real Eric lu had the best 4th ballade in the competition come on
Honestly, while his technique and dynamics are good, I felt it was overplayed a bit and the overall pacing did not always help the organic nature of the music. The coda was quite good.
