I include tips on preventing hackers from gaining access to your account. Watch me walk through the entire process as I setup a new RUclips channel for my cat, Peanut :-)

This video is for those who may be getting confused between youtube accounts, youtube channels and google accounts, and walks you through the exact steps you need to setup a new youtube channel. I have a question...Is it better to create a brand new channel using a new Google account or is it better to created a branded account within an existing Google account? What's the Pros and Cons? Because I'm at this stage and confused with what to do.
I recently contacted Google to remove one of my accounts which has 3 additional branded accounts and I was informed that even though I wished to only delete one Google and one RUclips account, the associated accounts would also be deleted automatically! Even though during the process of deleting, the Google page I was on (the delete process page) only stated the specific page that would be deleted should I continue with the process. However Google stated that I had a certain number of subscribers during this delete process, yet that didn't match up with the number of subscribers of the page I was about to delete! I ended up not deleting the page due to too many issues. Even after contacting RUclips support and proving video footage, I was still not helped!
Not sure if I've explained myself too well.
I should first state that contacting google/youtube is definitely the better option to get clarification on this... I'm not going to be able to help with things like subscriber count discrepancies, etc. But I can give you a clearer picture of the pros and cons of the different account types. Personal accounts are simpler and is when your channel name is similar to your real name and google account. you would use a brand account (business account) if you wanted to keep it separate from your personal info and also if you ever want other people to help you manage the channel. Business channels are also easier to transfer the ownership of. I hope that helps :-)

What editing or software are you using for PIP production and screen sharing?
I use Camtasia to edit my videos. I record the pieces individually (camera recording to an SD card, screen recording captured by OBS, and audio recorded in Adobe Audition). I then bring all those files into Camtasia and sync them together (they all capture audio too so that makes it easy to sync by audio waveforms). The I proceed to edit the video. To get the Picture-in-Picture effect, I put my camera track on top and them size it down and crop it in... add a border and drop shadow. Then I go through the entire video and cut out mistakes, and zooms and pans to the screen recording, etc. I hope that helps!

Good video! May I ask why you chose personal instead of business for the type of channel? What should we use if we're starting a RUclips channel with the ultimate goal of monetization?
Great question! In hindsight I probably should have set it up as a business channel... and in fact I should probably make a video explaining the differences. Here they are:
Personal channels are tied directly to your google account and can be managed only by you. It's ideal for keeping things simple.
Business channels allow you to have multiple managers and also makes things easy to transfer ownership.

What’s up with the new ads on every YT channel that don’t allow skipping? I sat through one ad over a minute long, but now this one is over 17 minutes long! Who has time for that? This will hurt new channels especially!
Wow a 17 minute ad sounds like a lot! I've never seen an ad that long... and I think if they are long like that you can usually skip them after 15 or 30 seconds? I'm not sure. I have RUclips Premium because I spend so much time on RUclips... that's how you get rid of ads altogether :)
