  • Having trouble with your machine and don't know why? your thread is bunching up? Or why your thread keeps breaking? or maybe you have no idea what's going on.
    Well, the troubleshooting hotline is here to help! Okay, jk.. there is no hotline, but sometimes I would like to think this actually existed when my sewing machine just decides it doesn't want to work in the middle of a project - or even worse, in the middle of a runway show (speaking from experience)... I kind of wish I had this troubleshooting checklist when I needed it. It's your lucky day!!
    I have complied the 10 points with questions you should be asking in order to troubleshoot your way out of sewing machine disasters.

    Thank you so much! I took on the project of sewing a historically accurate 1890s wedding dress for Halloween (fully knowing that I can only handsew) and couldn't figure out why the string was bunching. You've gained a new subscriber for sure!

    I was happily sewing away when the bobbin ran out of thread, rethreaded it and had the thread bunching problem. The needle is almost new, bobbin cleanly threaded and everything seemed as it was so I followed your ten-point checklist and now it is working as it should. I did, however, come across a lot of fluff which needed removing. I really don't know if that was the issue but I am so glad I watched your video👍

    Thank You! That was exactly the problem! I don't know how it got misthreaded but I have rethreaded the Bobbin a dozen times thinking that was the problem. You nailed it!

    I inherited a sewing machine from my grandmother. It's a beautiful old singer, but it has horizontal spindle for the thread on top and I didn't know it made a difference. If you laid the thread down on its side or had it vertically. It's missing whatever used to hold it. So now a chopstick saves the day!!!!

    I have done everything in your tutorial video to fixing my sewing machine on the snagging into the bobbin area I completely re-ran bobbins and did that I checked my tension on my bobbin I placed in a needle I even went through and completely broke my machine down to bare Bones blew it out with my can of air I even checked components that require oil and everything looks good there my sewing machine is a brand new singer 3230 no offense singer sucks but this machine hadn't even been out of the box 30 days and was already in the repair shop as it was I have done everything in your tutorial on the bobbin catching I've got it operating just a snag better but not much it'll get about 3 inches and then tangle up

    Will you explain the direction the thread should come off the spool and the bobbin? Back or front of the spool? Right or left of the bobbin? I’m sure it matters but the visual guides on my Brother machine are difficult to read…

    How do I get it to stop balling up from the bobbin? The needle doesn’t turn very well and only goes about one turn. We are using a bernette machine

  • @RiimuCraft
    @RiimuCraft Год назад

    Help me out. The yarn coming from top keeps piling or punching up at the needle. Unsure if it happens at the eye of the needle or higher up. It peels the yarn to one layer and then just gets stuck somewhere above needle.
    My needle plate has a small notch on it and I have wondered if the yarn gets stuck on that and therefore peels? This mostly happens when doing zigzag or lightning stitch

    Some useful info in there thanks! However wonder if you could help, I'm sewing velcro onto a door netting, and it's sometimes pulling 3 threads up from the bobbin and knotting, I have moved my needle over to the right and tightened the stiches a little and it seams better, but every 12 inches or so its still pulling the 3 threads up snapping but retreading itself so I can carry on?

    Crying throwing up I can’t figure out what’s wrong even with a list of possibilities like the top thread is pulls too hard to pull it down but I don’t know how to make it loose like it feels like all these damn metals hooks it needs to go through is why it pulls so tight and the spool itself was just already like this when I bought this like it’s a brand new just bought tiny sewing machine and this is the same problem I had with a brand new sewing machine I bought years ago so what the fuck am I doing wrong and what the fuck do I do to fix it I’m freaking out

    • @LTRLTrendFashnGuru
      @LTRLTrendFashnGuru  2 года назад

      Hey Tega, Thanks for your question - sorry to hear your sewing machine is having problems. It could be anything, as I mentioned in the video... it could be the dull needle, thread gauge, bunched thread that you cannot see but is tucked around something underneath your machine. It could be your the presser foot, it could be that your machine is not threaded properly (or have fallen out from the uptake lever. If you go through the 10 checklist, I have provided a free downloadable checklist (link found in the description of this video) you may find the problem? Best of luck
