What kind of sewing machine are you using (if any)? Would it be helpful to do a video on the different kinds of machines that are best for a beginner? Let me know!

Awww, thanks Robbie! I really appreciate you for being here and sending me this message - I really needed to hear it! I agree with you, it has also been hard for me as well to get up and do what I know I love, but we dont always know what is good for us until we are in the moment doing it, right? The motivation never seems to always be ready at the blink of an eye.... but when we finally take that time and we feel amazing (kinda like working out?). I feel our creative "muscles" get drained if we are not always flexing them and this channel definitely does help me work on those muscles 💪👊 To be honest, I never thought of myself as a teacher... but I am loving it! And there is exciting news to come within this year, so stay tuned dear friend! Flex those muscles and stay well 💖 P.s. you are so right about me loving the 70s... I adore everything about that time period (the bell bottoms, the platform shoes, the hair, the tight tees and the music) 💫😁🌟

My machine is a little different but with the manual it was quite easy to learn how to thread it.
I haven't risked a needle change or a feet change. Looks too daunting.
You machine looks like a great second hand find.
It would have been helpful to watch a video of you talking about the different machines when I was shopping for mine. It was surprisingly difficult to choose since I had zero experience with one and I couldn't go out and look at them (peak covid-19 lockdown).
Love your videos! Thank you for making them!

Thank you for being here and always willing to learn (even if its something you already know). Looking for a sewing machine is definitely hard at first but if you know what to look for, it might be helpful for future purchases. Thanks again for watching!

Lol found this video after finally finding an old sewing machine my folks had. As a beginner I'm working with a less modern one but I'll figure it out. Thanks for the video! (I'm using Singer 5932)

I’ve got an all the bells and whistles domestic machine (Brother F420). Figured I’m probably gonna buy one in my life so got a nice one.
Anyway I’m still a bit of a rookie and I think where the lack of experience gets me is more. with stuff like sewing neatly around a curve. Like I think it’s a beginner tendency to try to stretch the curve straight so it keeps hitting your seam allowance mark but the experienced peeps seem to push the bunch on the side to get around the curve.
Basically what i’m asking is is do you have some fabric manipulation sewing tips that aren’t really the things I can look up in a book?
Thanks! love all your vids :)

Amazing to hear you got a great srwing machine right outta the gate. This is such a great question, sewing around curves is kinda 'practice-makes-perfect' kinda deal... it has a lot to do with patience, easing and a gentle hand. I will definitely consider making a vid for specialty seams... thanks so much for the comment and your support for being here - watching! 🙏😘

Do you have a video that explains how to diagnose a problem with your stitching with a basic sewing machine according to what is going on with how the threading is messing up?
