I don’t know why I haven’t watched this video sooner. I’m still a beginner but never knew the tip with threading it through that top hole. I’ve been fighting for almost 45 minutes and after I watched you do this, I got it on the first try. So here I am 3 years after this video was posted to say THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Repent, trust, and believe in Jesus and be saved. To repent means you confess your sins (the acts and thoughts that are wrong according to God and His Word) and ask for forgiveness with sincerity. Once you do this, you strive to no longer do those wrong things, but do what is right according to God’s Word. It’s not by right doing that you are saved but by trusting and believing in God and His grace/mercy. John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

I went to my local sewing store today, since I noticed something was still not right about how I was doing this. The owner pointed out the lack of tension, not having the thread pitched in-between the threading guide (the screw looking 2nd stepper), and not cutting off the loose thread at the top of the bobbin after a significant number of rotations.
One of the ways I avoid "bobbin-winding-waste-of-time" angst in the midst of sewing is to wind two or three bobbins (depending on the size of my project) before I start to sew. I get it all over at once. What do I do with the leftover? I have a bobbin keeper. The leftover unused bobbin thread is ideal for mending and for sewing doll clothes. I use the wooden bobbin holder (sold in JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts and other big box stores for projects in progress, a plastic bobbin case for those awaiting new projects/mending, and yet one more plastic bobbin case for storing empties. One of the nicest things about being retired is having all the time I ever wanted to sew for my grandgirls, their dollies, and my own lifetime doll collection.

Excellent video. I've been sewing masks like crazy the past few days. Got tired and wasn't paying attention to the speed I was using to wind the bobbins. How do you switch your machine off of sewing mode and into spinning the spool mode? I know my machine uses a presser foot to spin the bobbin, but I can’t get it to actually spin the bobbin instead of just trying to sew with the needle

Helpful! I have been trying to wind my bubbin with my electric butterfly. Now it’s not responding again. What do I do to make it start winding! I have been doing it wrongly!
Soooo that’s one of the frustrating problems I had as a beginner! 😱 I just paid $90 bucks to have a repairman to tell me that my NEW machine had an issue that needed to be repaired in order to “fix” my thread nesting problems! But an experienced seamstress told me that she didn’t believe the repairman she thought it could be my bobbin. The day after I got my machine “repaired” I had to take it back the next day for the same issue! Come to find out when I showed the seamstress the way I threaded my sewing machine to catch the bobbin, she told me that I was putting the bobbin in the wrong way! So I had flipped the bobbin in my right hand... let the bobbin thread go towards the left through the grooves of the bobbin case and guess what!? 🤔 It worked! Then as for when I showed her how my sewing stitches nested up or how they would be loose stitches on the bottom of my fabric...the thread tension was not the problem... once again... it was the way I wound wind my bobbin...smh. All of the examples of what you said not to do...was the very thing I was doing! I was going at a fast speed... my thread was uneven... and I had every problem you discussed along with a migraine!!! 😞 So with that said... THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!! I have no choice but to LIKE! That is funny, because I read somewhere that you should run it on full speed when winding bobbins! I will have to slow down and see if I get better results.

SHARE! & SUBSCRIBE!!! Whew!🥳🎉
