Honestly black metal can be the easiest or one of the harder genres to write for simply depending on the specific style of black you're playing. Like a black metal song can be complicated yet dark beautiful melodies, or it can be as simple as picking a dark sounding finger position and just sliding up and down the fret board using that same shape. It's one of my all time favorite music genres and I'm happy to see you cover it, it really is fun ASF. Side note: While growling is used in some black metal subgenres such as Bestial Black Metal or Blackened Death, it's not very common. The normal go to is JUST screams.
