Thanks! Very detailed! In my case those hoses to the old waterpump just did not want to get out! No matter how much I wiggled, I ended up shaking the car more than the hose, even with the spring clip taken completely out.

I like to fish the belt on before bolting down pump also.

Hey guys, absolutely remove the intake manifold, takes an extra 10 minutes to take it off but saves massive time in the long run !!!

is this for the 2.0 or the 1.8l turbo? also, if i recall on the 1.8 the waterpump and the thermostat are separate parts? can you assemble them together and then install as one whole piece?

This is a 2.0 the 1.8t is very similar job, yup you can put them together and install the as one piece

I believe it was leaking coolant

What was the torque spec for the water pump that you installed?

I would not torq them unless you have a well working torq wrench.
I broke two bolts off inside the engine not fun getting those out

I believe our parts supplier we use often is worldpac. When I’m ordering parts on my own not through the shop I often use fcp euro
