- This lecture explains about the beta sheet structure of the protein. Beta sheet also known as the beta plated sheet is a type of secondary structure of the protein that helps in making the tertiary structure of the protein. Beta sheet and alpha helix structures form the most of the secondary structure of the protein. Beta sheet structure is mostly found in globular or soluble protein like globin family protein.

Thank you for watching the protein secondary structure video on beta sheet.
your videos honestly help so much not just to understand the information, but to actually have it stick!!! your channel is amazing
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts
I just love your videos of protein structure...i had watched all of them
Congrats for all of your videos. They are so helpful to me. I would like to ask you the following question: how do we explain the twist that happens to a beta sheet?
I had this confusion about beta sheath and beta strands for about a week.I read Lippincott, Campbell, Mason Raven and watched many videos. thank god I cleared this and understand everything little but more.
Sir plz make vedio for tertiary and quaternary structure..thank you🙂
Very helpful,thank you very much!!!!
I follow your lectures.. It's a boon for my studies... Thanking you so much.. Sir...
Glad to hear that you are getting benefit from my videos
@@shomusbiologyofficial thank you so much.. Sir... Such a great person replying... Thanks a lot...
Thank you for this video. I wud like to suggest one thing..please make a video for beta turns conformation of proteins.
Thank you sir
Awesome video.... Reaaly helped clear my concept😊
Glad it helped
Thank u sir
Too good sir U r doing an excellent work very informative video thank U so much sir
You're welcome. Glad to hear that you're getting benefit from my lectures
Excellent job 👍
Thank you
TQ so much sir.............very useful video....
sir can you please give any informative account about GATE, which one is better to prepare CSIR OR GATE
Very much helpful .thank u
You're welcome
That was amazing. Thank you very much.
You're welcome
Thanku sir u always helps us ,, sir plz make some videos on methods of protein sequencing
Okay. Will do that later
awesome please continue 😍😍
Thank you. Glad you liked my lectures
Really helpful👌👌
You're welcome
Sir will you make deatailed video about beta strands of proteins
It's very helpful but some concepts are still in ambiguity and clear. For example, you told that the H Bond in alpha helix is formed and responsible for helical structure while in beta sheets it is responsible for sheet formation? Why the H Bond formed is different in both these, any factor responsible for this change or because of some other reasons? Can you please guide me about that.
Thanks in advance
Sir your videos are very helpful🤗
Very good clear explanation sir
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts
Jio guru . Thank uuuuuuu
+Padmanabha Chakraborty you're welcome
JAZAKALLAH
thanks! a like and a comment for you, man!
Sir please describe about the tertiary & quaternary structure of protein
i would say you always make remarkable videos
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts
Which amino acids tend to form beta-pleated sheets? There's another video which gives a list, but I can't remember it.
try to make video on molecular recognition
Sir, which is most stable (parallel or anti parallel) and y ?
What are 2 helices per turn in beta strand you are saying.
Awesome sir
Thank you
Thank you so much Sir
You're welcome
plz explain about beta turn and collagen triple helix
sir pls also give a video for mass extinction kt mass extinction
Super explaination
Thank you
*superbb* *sir* 👍😊...
*Your* *efforts* *are* *extremely* *helpful* ..... *Keep* *it* *up* 👍😊
Sir , in a book it is wrote that the distance between adjacent amino acids along a B- strand is approximately 3.5 Å, .....what is its mean?.🤔.
I didn't get which distance Is talking abount in this line.....plz explain 🙏
Watch alpha helix video u will understand
Excellent
You're welcome
Ur vdos r awesome 👍
Thank you. Glad you liked my lectures
@@shomusbiologyofficial yes...they helped me during my neetug time ...nd now in mbbs also ur lectures simplify biochem concepts..thanks a lot...aneeek subheccha roilo dada😊
Thank you
You're welcome
beta turns how are they formed
Good explanation!
Could you please tell me whether the structure of beta pleated sheet be asked in board examination or not? I find it a bit difficult to draw the entire structure. Please help!
You don't need to draw picture +?
etto talented kno tume sob kichu etto Valo Kano jano!!!!!! 😊 proud to be BANGALI
khoob bhalo boll ey i'm a bengali too
Sir you ❣️❣️❣️do well
You're welcome
How much percentage of beta sheets in beta keratin and flavodoxine
Sir can u post a video abt bilur ubin
+Dharsana Sasi I will try to make that soon.
Sir will u plz help me out with it?
sir in the beta sheets are the H-bonding intra molecular H-bonding or inter molecular H-bonding?
Intra
WANT NOTES .What to do ?
Sir, what is the active site in the alpha/beta barrel structure? And where it is located?
Depends on what kind of protein it is. Channel protein has active site inside
Sir... except parallel and antiparallel is there any other kind of structures present in beta sheet structure...plzz help sir.....
No. Other is beta turn
Is it intra or inter H bond in beta ??
Intra
