If I was you...I would hang around that location on a weekend and count the traffic going into the mall or into or near the proposed location. Malls died for a reason. No traffic!!Thselling a $10 shoe every 15 minutes in a location where you can't get drive buy traffic seems to me risky..but I'll be watching and hoping for your success.
This mall has no traffic , when I was young, 25 years ago you couldn't casually walk. It was constantly stopping for people crossing sides. Like walking mid day in NYC. Dont listen to this guy, a dead mall will suck you dry on rent alone.
I agree for a regular store but a destination location will drive people in no matter where you are at. I know super sucessfull people operating in the back of a warehouse complex.
The selfish people of the world won't think twice about putting a shoe store next to another shoe store. The established store would lose hundreds of thousands. All companies and vendors could copy the company next to them. I personally choose not to copy. That other company would move in 1 day if they could just to tell the mall fu. Not cool

My bin store is next door and they get a few thousand people in there every week. I praying it will work.
