  • I've had both, ablation surgery and excision surgery for my endometriosis. What's the difference between the two? Which is supposed to be better? How was my experience with both surgeries? I share this and everything else I know about the two laparoscopic procedures in this video.
Please remember that I am not a medical professional. I am a patient who has experienced both surgeries and I'm just sharing what I've experienced. Please seek an endometriosis specialist doctor for your personal case.

Thank you for your video and all you sources you've linked. Good luck with your health. I haven't been actually diagnosed but all my Dr. visits are looking like that's what it could be. I'm terrified and am currently changing my whole diet and adding specific exercises to try and help mine naturally. Going under the knife scares me to death, you're brave for getting it done at 18 and then having even worse symptoms and super scary having to have more time to heal longer.

Hi Joube, thank you for reaching out. I believe all of us who endure so much are really brave - brave not out of choice but because we have to be if we're to feel better. I really hope you get the right diagnosis and manage to build a team of medical professionals who will be able to help you through to better health. Good luck :)

Hi there, is a hysteroscopy similar to alblation? You may have some knowledge about the differences between the two after all your issues. By far the most informative voice on You Tube!

I actually meant laparoscopy compared to ablation. Oops sorry! Do you have any thoughts?

Hi Sofia, thank you for the appreciation.
In my understanding, hysteroscopy and ablation are different. In a hysteroscopy, they evaluate the cervix and the uterus by going in through the vagina.
Endometriosis is found growing outside the uterus, so in an ablation surgery done as a laparoscopy, small incisions are done in the lower abdomen and belly button to look inside.
      I hope this helps :)

@@FootprintsNoBoundariesByShruti Thanks for clarifying this for me. Your research on woman’s health far outdoes specialists explanations here on You Tube.

Hello, thanks for your insight on both but one important question, my doctor said that excision surgery may lead to infertility and egg reserve, is that true?

Hi... I don't know if there is anything else wrong with your health for your doctor to say that. But is he/she an excision surgery specialist for endometriosis?
In fact from what I know, not treating endometriosis can influence fertility. So endometriosis should be treated.
I have never heard a doctor say that excision surgery leads to infertility - but again, I hope you're seeing an excision specialist who does endometriosis surgery.
I hope you get the information you need. Take care :)
