Annoyingly, my gynaecologist didn't specify which type of surgery he will be doing. I'm going to try and get in contact with him to ask, as the ablation one sounds pointless in my opinion.

My doctor has used the term "resection" of endometriosis for suggested surgery. Wondering if you know whether this is the same as excision ?

Ablation sounds like a complete waste of time, why would any opt for this or why would a doctor offer this option? Treating the root cause would be much more effective .
