Amped Gemini faithfully recreates not only a 50-year-old combo amp but also the inbuilt spring reverb and vibrato. It is widely considered the greatest clean guitar sound of all time and delivers an unparalleled smooth long sustaining sound.

Amped Gemini features a 3D cabinet simulator based on this combo amp from 1973 with rare sought after Oxford speakers. Mix and match mic combinations to dial in your tone. You can move the mics from the middle to the edge of the speaker, front or back and even angle mics to get a beefier sound. You also have the option to load in your own IRs.

So I own an original Ampeg Gemini VI. I did a little recording at Ardent Studios in Memphis and the engineer thought it was one of the best sounding amps he had ever heard. I separated the amp and head into two cabinets as the original cabinet was rotting and I put the 15" Jensen in its own cabinet. My Gemini has the vibrato, reverb tank and an accordion input and also a switch at full treble that gave it a boost. My amp still plays great and I keep a spare set of NOS tubes. Ah but this is not Ampeg, this is Fullerton!😅 Sounds great!

Still no Blackstar models? Really? If a model of the Stage HT60 was available then I would buy in a heartbeat. This valve combo has truly seductive clean sounds, to snarly crunch, to unforgiving screams of overdriven sustain. The trouble is that it weighs a ton. Please take a look and add it to your catalogue.
I have vivid memories of carrying the 2x12 HT60 combo 3 miles to college and back twice a week with a full pedalboard and guitar strapped to my back.. the weight is no joke!

Hey Mikko! I know you guys just released Gemini but please continue the 'high-gain line' in the future, I like them more and more. Lately I've been using Amped plugins more often so I've experimented with them more than before (eq + IR) and they sound excellent. In combination with Mikko2 the possibilities are endless. It would be great to see heads like Diezel Hagen and Herbert among the Amped plugins or the EVH 5150III Stealth 100W version (6L6/EL34). The Engl Savage 120 or Invader might be interesting too. Thanks!🤞😎

Oh yes - I've got a whole pedalboard of various drive/boost/fuzz etc and it takes them all perfectly. Excellent pushed breakup sound with a Klon, angry rattling tones with a Big Muff, and super rich sounding leads with a Harmonic Percolator. Might see about doing some videos pushing it with real pedals!

@@mlsoundlab I've been using my humble Daddy-O Overdrive with the Gemini and the sim responds very naturally with it. No weird artifacts or brittleness.
Not one note was truly "clean." Maybe at 4:40 on that opening clean chord (if that's the same plugin) but you quickly drown it out with more dirt from the solo instrument. It's simply not true that all those amps had saturation. Distortion was a defect back then.
Nice tones, deft playing.
Simply not clean. Less distorted ("djenty") is just not the same as clean.
On the crunch section, the notes had little or no attack, which is why people still use tube amps and why modelers still don't quite hit the mark.
You do good work, it's a great tone. Not a clean tone.
But a rich, clean Deluxe Reverb with tube-like transients on each pick attack is still elusive. Disappointing.
that's probably one of the worst guitar tones I've ever heard.
I promise next time it's djent again.
@@mlsoundlab Us old timers appreciate you doing amp sims that aren't just extreme gain monsters. I'd love to see more "odd ball" combos from the 50's and 60's!
