Have both… in my opinion the neural stuff is more polished sounding… but I really like the raw open tone these have. I have the real be100dlx sitting next to my computer and it is very close. Plus the cabs sound great.
Neural wins for the Delay, reverb and other pedals kr effect things. For the amp it's a tie for me. But if you use not so powerful cpu ML sound lab wins by far
I like this plugin but the presets a bit weird~ When you make changes it stays changed when you change presets and go back to it~ Also when you save patches using the same name it doesn't overwrite~ It creates another patch with the same name~
As we've seen the market of "amp simulation" greatly improving in the past decade, could you describe what would be a great solution for a "touring rig" solely built around "computerised amp simulation" and "full range amplification" and/or simply connecting to the PA system??? Please. I mean, wouldn't that be "LOCO" just to gig around with only a couple of guitars and a well equipped laptop computer as an amp head + effects?
It's a measly 69 Euro right now. A freakin' steal considering you're getting 8 amp heads, cabs and mics. What would this cost if you bought the gear outright? (And don't forget to add in a solid preamp, cables and A/D converters...) Yeah, I thought so...
@@FranckGrazianoGuitare for me, it would always get too spongey too and I think caused some phase issues when double tracked. I tried all sorts of 3rd party IRs and nothing really worked
@@FranckGrazianoGuitare i don't have the PA BE but i own the dual rec and the ENGL. Idk why the PA sounds too muddy and bassy compared to any other dual rec like THU, Amplitube, Neural
There’s this weird pumping effect when you start playing stand-alone, as if you’re going through a compressor and hitting it too hard and fast ( that’s what she said).
Have you disabled the EQ in the stompbox section? I had a similar issue where everything sounded so harsh through the Tonality Lasse Lammert... until I realized that the default preset had the EQ pedal enabled with the bass cut & the mid & highs boosted like crazy. It should be a lesson to other amp sim devs - NEVER have an EQ enabled on the default preset (or at least don't have one so extreme). I was able to get some good sounds after I disabled it, although I think I still prefer the Flagship suite.
@@purpletentacle6248 yeah I disabled it. Using the tiny trim pots at the bottom helps tame the top end, but it still doesn’t sound good. Load any known good 3rd party IR in and it smacks. No idea why they can’t get IR’s to sound like guitar speakers.
Terrific-sounding sims from this company but the elephant in the room is their presets system. It is virtually none existent. You can Save a present but if you change a control, like the Delay Time or change a mic, you are unable to update the preset. You need to create a new preset and manually key in the full preset name. And this seems to apply to all of their sims. Managing the presets in these sims is unwieldy. I bought one and am now waiting and hoping this will be corrected. Until then....
Thats a little much, no modelling amp would exist if everyone had to pay the original amp maker to put thier name on an inspired version of an amp which wont even be the same in the end. The graphic i think is more of a favour to the consumer so they know what theyre getting which by the way i didnt catch it until you mentioned it, just like most people probably dont know Friedman's are moded Marshall clones, but Dave doesnt feel the need to indicate that with any markings, maybe amp sim makers when they get good enough in their own right wont feel the need to do that either and hopefully put out more original amp sims rather than clones.
@@mikejones-vd3fg I don’t understand your argument. This is a copy of 3 different Friedman amps. Copy. Friedman’s are Marshall voiced but it’s still his take on the sound. yoooo I am stoked to hear this full cover! Bad Religion was my favorite band when I was in my teens and now I forget about them wayyyy too much!
The Friedman amps are becoming my fav tube amps tonally. Especially the BE and the JJ. Just big fat high gain tones and really great cleans.
Would be interesting to compare it with your friedman model..
Love your reviews. It is helping me more and more to get the best stuff I can for my own recording.
I came for the high gain, I remained for the cleans... Holy shit that's awesome
“Thick, good mids, and no fizz” describes every friedman lol
why do the sums always come to my head when i see all killer no filler
Why wouldn't they?
Was just thinking the same as I clicked the video
I think of greenday 75
lol gflad to see someone else still refers to them as the sums.

Does anyone know if there are any differences between the Brown flagship lead and the Freeman Fluff ( in the Amped Roots ) ?
Do you think this is comparable to neural dsp amps?
Just downloaded the trial of this and within first 30 seconds I like this better than STL. Pretty amazed at my preference haha!
HAHH!!! LOVE the American Jesus track! Didn't expect that.
how does this stack up against the Neural ones? Sounds and ease of use.

A low latency interface into a laptop, then take the line out of the interface into a DI / into the house PA, mixing desk, etc...

Hey fluff, do you know any sources for MESA 115 or 215 Powerhouse IRs? I'm asking for a friend. His name is Adam.
Would it happen to have MIDI compatibility for effects switching / live usage?

What DAW are you are using for this demo?
I wanna see a shootout with this vs the Plugin Alliance BE-100
I have both and the brainworx is too bassy and too noisy. This one is better and closer of my real Friedman (be50dlx)

Yeah, they do sound pretty choice
Right now Friedman & EVH are making some of the best high gain amps, in my humble opinion.
I think the EVH 50watt amps sound better than the SLOs.

I can't tell if the plug-in sounds terrible, or if it's just awful metal EQ settings.
