- Nearly three months ago, a prominent South Carolina lawyer’s wife and son were murdered. Then the lawyer himself was wounded in a shooting over the weekend. Now he’s out of a job, accused of misusing funds at his family law firm. NBC’s Catie Beck reports for TODAY from Columbia, South Carolina.

He had his wife and son killed, or killed them himself. He shot himself or had an accomplice do it so he could become a victim. He entered rehab to stay out of jail.
Rich people always take the same steps when the walls are closing in.

If arrested, Rehab won't keep him out of jail. Now he can't use his influence, that has gone out the door but still may be eligible for bail.
@@trvman1 Sure, if he was charged with murder, they would go pick him up at rehab and book him into the jail. If he gets charges with theft or embezzlement, they will wait till rehab is over to arrest him, if they do arrest him.

@Daniel F. I thought the exact same thing! He probably killed his wife and son for insurance money and sympathy. People like him become the "victim when their misdeeds' are exposed,! Probably has narcissistic personality disorder!
I wouldn't be surprised if they find out he had his wife and son whacked for the insurance money. Wouldn't be surprised at all.

@Wukong robotics No he want to get rid of them. Divorce. Mistress. Wife hired a forensic accountant one month before she died. Problem child Paul cost him a lot of money. Alex’s father will. Life insurance. Civil lawsuits because of Paul. He needed millions to put the money back he embezzled since wife hired a forensic accountant to investigate not only their money but also Alex’s law firm money where it would be discovered that Alex was stealing millions.

Definitely. The girls family who the son killed couldn’t get justice in court when the prosecutors are all connected to the suspect. So the family had to get their own justice. Take one of mine we’re going to take a few of yours. This the same thing goin on in Chicago this just happen to be rich white folk smh
@Jane O'Leary I think it was the girl family who was killed on tht boat with the son. It was no other way for them to realistically get pay back when the sons family had the court system in the chokehold

I already have it all figured out. This guy was doing some hard drugs, got into debt, couldn't pay his dealers, so they came in and shot his family. However, he still owed more money, and his dealer told him if he didn't pay the rest of the money that they would come after him, so he stole the money from his law firm, and then he shot himself, to get admitted to the hospital, where he would be safe from the dealers. This guy is a mess. This is the whole story on this, and I am not even an investigator. This is just street sense.
