I come from a totally dysfunctional family. Except for one sibling and myself, who have been ostracized, the others refuse to accept the truth that our mother is a narcissist who ruined our relationships and still dances on my father's grave 26 years AFTER HIS DEATH while preaching the Bible. I think Buster's stance is his way of dealing with the ugly truth that his father killed his mother and brother, similar to how a child who has been sexually abused dissociates mentally ie split personality.

What I find amazing about this young man, is he has/can accept his father is a lying thief… but struggles to accept the equally obvious fact he’s his mother’s & brother’s killer. Family ties I suppose. Just astonishing
I come from a totally dysfunctional family. Except for one sibling and myself, who have been ostracized, the others refuse to accept the truth that our mother is a narcissist who ruined our relationships and still dances on my father's grave 26 years AFTER HIS DEATH while preaching the Bible. I think Buster's stance is his way of dealing with the ugly truth that his father killed his mother and brother, similar to how a child who has been sexually abused dissociates mentally ie split personality.
When pain is too overwhelming a person can go into complete denial and shutdown. He is at this point. Poor kid. He too has a life sentence........losing his whole family, reputation and legacy.
