Got this grinder, I used to have a M47 Phoenix but sold it because I wanted something smaller for travel. The Q air surprisingly makes better pour overs. Although I didn’t have the Kinu pour over burr. It’s great for the price! Probably the best budget hand grinder at the moment. Would be very interested to see how it stacks up to the X Ultra or K Ultra.
@@bravenkind7843 yeah, it is surprisingly good grinder. Not sure about it’s longevity but makes very decent pour overs. I have been lazy recently but at some point will have to record a video comparing it with my other grinders.
Thanks Jack, great summary of the ups and down
Thx for watching!
Hi Jack! Found your channel recently and have been going through your video archives. Love your videos! Very informative, simple and unassuming, great for home coffee brewers. Thanks for your hard work!
I bought the Q Air specifically as my travel grinder, and am loving it. It grinds decent coffee, but more importantly it's very light, durable and fits in my Aeropress! And if I break it during my travels, its not that big of a deal to replace because of how affordable it is. Cheers!
Thank you very much for watching and your kind words.
Although I haven’t tried it for Aeropress, it works very well for pour overs and as you said, great travel companion.
@@mycoffeeshow111 yeah the only reason I bought it is because it fits inside the plunger of my Aeropress, making it a really compact travel package. Try it out!
Also eagerly awaiting for review for the Kingrinder K6! You're busy!
@@Yinn224 yeah, so much work for me and so little time 😛
Awesome video like always. I have a DF83 V2 with stock burrs and Kinu Classic and I also got the pour-over burr for it, which I feel that the improvement I got on my pour-overs was well worth the money I spent on them. Anyway I drink just as much filter coffee as I do espresso, with you knowing which grinders I have, do you feel I can get another grinder that will improve my filter coffee DRAMATICALLY or do you feel I can get average to better than average filter coffee with the grinders I have ?
Thx for watching. DF83 is already a very good. Maybe you should consider getting brew burrs for it like DLC or something like SSP MP?
Great review! I would be curious to see a comparison of this against the K Ultra and other 1Zpresso grinders
Thank you. I have done few in the past. Tomorrow I plan to record K Ultra vs C60 Baracuda.
Thanks for showing this coffee grinder.
I wonder how it compares to the KINGrinder P0, P1 & P2, which are between 22-44 USD.
It seems the Q Air might be similar to the P0, both which aren't recommended for fine and extra fine grinds, while the P1 & P2 are capable of such grinds.
Still, the Q Air varies with a heptagonal burr at 0.025mm per click, while the P0 varies with a pentagonal burr at 0.03333mm per click.
Thx for watching. There are so many options available. Those Kingrinders tend to be a bit more expensive in UK. I can’t get them all, but will definitely compare what I have.
I believe this grinder is just a 1zpresso Q2 with more plastic parts. Very similar burrs to a C-40 without fancy coatings. I have an X-Pro with the same burr set and it produces delightful coffee for a conical.
You might be right about that. Will have to play a bit more with it.
thank you i bought in offer for 40$ lol to replace my hario for moka pot and pour over👌👌
Thx for watching. $40!!! Wow, great price. How do you like it?
Is the grinder very similar to the 1zpresso Q2 and is this proptionate to v60 drink
Few viewers mentioned it is like a cheaper version of Q2. Some even say it is ok for espresso.
Feel like this and the Aeropress Go were made for each other.
Good point. I have to brew some Aeropress with it. Tbh I forgot I still have this grinder 😛
I, make a review of the espresso coffee entry level of Kingrinder K1, please.
I will put it on the list.
Hi, in your opinion ,which one better compare to Timemore C3?
Hmmm, I like the build quality of Timemore more. Taste wise- not sure- will have to do more tests. For pour overs possibly Q Air and C3 for espresso.
@@mycoffeeshow111 Thank You for your reply.
Did u change the tablet on the decent? Looks rather large.
Nope, still the same old. I am planning to try this new app though, which allows to control the machine with Ipad.
Just got a Q Air. Does it stuck up to the Comandante C40 as the original Q2 heptagonal? Are there any differences in grind quality for filter coffee compared to the Q2 heptagonal?
@@matiaschacana5768 It can definitely grind for great pour overs. I sold my C40 and C60 long time ago and never tried Q2 but I believe it would be a worthy contender for sure in terms of taste of pour over.
@@mycoffeeshow111 Noo you should've kept the C40 around for comparisons lol. Anyways, thanks for your review. Your comment is quite encouraging by the way. I'm excited for this grinder!
@@matiaschacana5768 I couldn’t keep everything I bought otherwise I would need a bigger place 😛 You should like this grinder. The only thing I am not so sure is longevity- time will tell.
@@mycoffeeshow111 I understand. I just hope the plastic build doesn't compromise the grind quality somehow. Thanks for answering, I really appreciate it. Keep up the great content!
I will be taking your word if I shop for grinder again
@@n6rcan thank you. I’m planning to record something about this grinder in the next few weeks.
@@mycoffeeshow111 wow nice, thanks
This looks like a updated / downgraded Q2. Same burr set, but half the price of the Q2 (which already was absolutely cheap! I paid ~120 Euro about 2.5 years ago)
It looks like so. Many people over the years said I should buy Q2 and I eventually ended up with this. By itself, seems like a decent grinder. We will see how it stands against the competition.
tooo many models, to my taste... they should stop making new grinders every month )
Agree. That is their business strategy I guess.
@@mycoffeeshow111 have you seen timemore s-series? ))
@@rittervsp not yet. Difficult to keep up with them. Any good?
@@mycoffeeshow111 looks somewhat interesting )
