Hi.. It seems like the Q air burr is more similar to C40 but at 38mm. And looking at the grounds, the Q air also grinds the chaff oppose to Q2. Is this a fair assessment? Or is it even 40mm instead of 38mm like Q2.
I think it might have just been luck of the draw in the video, we dont notice much of chaff differences between the two. The burr size is 40mm like Q2, sorry if i have misspoken.
I think the quality of the grind on the Q Air is better, but the C3 burr is faster and it can hold more coffee being a bigger grinder. I do think that the C3 plastic feels better to hold. Personal opinion here - Ply
Great video, i have a question: how do i identify the beginning (zero click); do i tighten it all the way through or up until the crank hangs like the c40?
I got the regular Q2 on Lazada for $71USD including delivery and it's super for travel. I do espresso with Wacaco Picopresso with it. Have about 6 clicks of dial in variations for espresso. Impressed!
Hi there thanks for the video. I have a Gaggia Carezza pressurized portafilter so don't need as fine a grind as a more expensive machine. Currently i use a Hario Mini Mill and have had some good results but the setting can shift or something happens and the grind consistency can change resulting in a not as good espresso shot. Would i see improvement on the precision and consistency with a Q Air/C2?
Hi! Absolutely you will see a big improvement in your shot and dialing in when jumping from the mini mill to the Q Air or C2, in both consistency, easier to grind, and taste.
@@fromtheflightdeck252 i have ended up getting the Kingrinder K6, first impressions good, very well built, grinds coffee in one third of the time it took the hario. i did a single shot and after 15-20 seconds it was done and I thought oh is that it? and it was 🙂
ah in the video, we did not mention about the price at all just saying CAD. This is because at the time of the video we don't know what the duties and logistic would add to the retail price so we do not know the exact price at the time. Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks for the review! IS the handle easily removable from the top or is it stuck on (thinking for travel)
It is easily remove from the top.

I am in between the C3 and this Q AIR. Just wanted to get your opinion on this. Just before deciding on one.

@@roguewavecoffeeco thanks for the insight. I have come across Kingrinder P0. just wondering if you had a chance to have a look at it as well
p2 is similar to q air not p0.p0 is similir to k0 or timemore c2.
1zpresso no competition. Timemore is inferior altho cheaper if cost a problem.
did you choose z1 presso or time more?

In here, we do burr tight as our 0. But many people do when the handle hang as 0.
Great video! How many clicks would you recommend for French Press brew? I'm wanting to try James Hoffman method :)
Hi! I would suggest trying around 75 clicks (2.5 rotations) range.
@@roguewavecoffeeco Thank you!
Nice review! Since they went plastic, I would have liked to see a transparent version.
US TOO!!! That would be really cool
very nice review.
Can these two hand grinders both do espresso?
Thank you! They technically could, but not ideal.

@@fromtheflightdeck252 thanks for the update!
Nice, thanks. And thanks for selling deep 27 :)
Thanks! Its a good dripper. Now we wait for restock.
thank you so much i will buy black one to replace my hario grinder.what is seting for moka pot?
For Moka pot, try 1.4 rotation ( 42 clicks) as starting point. It will be night and day compare to hario grinder :) - Ply
ok thank you:)
Have you trying compare Q air vs timemore S3 which one the good taste
We have not try side by side. From our experience, the Q Air produce a cleaner cup.
Need buy q air for aeropress be good or bad for aeropress?
very good for aeropress :)
@@roguewavecoffeeco what the grind size use for aeropress
how if q air to compare with timemore s3?
We think that the Q Air is a better grinder than the S3 :)
@@roguewavecoffeeco I am curious the aspect that the Q air better than s3? I want to buy one for my first grinder 😁
Hey does this grinder fit inside the aeropress go?
Just checked, and it does fit in the plunger, it is a bit taller than the go plunger so it won't fit in the cup with lid on.
@@roguewavecoffeeco ty!

Q2 Heptagonal is awesome, I got one for travel on my channel as the K Plus is too bulky, I leave it home. Picopresso pairing with it!!

66 clicks is good for what type of brew?
pourover brew :)
Hey! How much do they both weigh?
Q2 S - Weight: ~ body = 338g, foldable handle + knob = 127g - total 465
Q Air - weight: body = 277g, handle = 88g = 365g - so 100g lighter
How does the king grinder k6 hold up against these
Hi! Unfortunately, we have not test side by side, sorry.
Good grinder, but way bigger. Q2 is my channel travel grinder for travels worldwide.
I do think it will be durable, Typo in last post
So far its has been quite good and no issue on the plastic quality.

Did any of you understand that price ??? I give my best but all I understand is some mumble then "Canadian dollars ".????
We are based in Canada, so our pricing is in CAD. Currently, it is listed as 93 CAD, around 69 USD on today exchange rate. Sorry for the low volume.
@@roguewavecoffeeco Ok np but as you speak I didnt understand that 93 I try it multiple times and no success.
