I've watched many other folks on youtube, and by far, I've learned the most and the fastest from your videos.
@@coastmoto thank you so much! I love to hear that. Keep watching my friend and thanks 1 million.
I ❤your videos. You make the over complicated stuff simpler. I’m a simple guy. Perfect fit. Cheers 🥂
At 2:33, you almost played enough of the Forbidden Riff to DOOM us all LOL. Other than that, great video! Subscribing!
Hi Sean, that was a super insightful lesson. Thanks so much. When you played the mixolydian scale over the chord progression it sounded beautiful to my ears. Would it be possible for you to do a lesson that explains how and why a mixolydian scale works and say how a Lydian or Dorian might work over certain other progressions. I think I’m on the cusp of getting this when you said about flattening the seventh. I’m so excited 😀
Thanks so much for the comment! I will definitely be doing mode lessons soon.
Thank you another helpful lesson pls keep them coming 😎🎸
@@cuervo520 thanks a bunch! Much appreciated
Just discovered your channel. Great video thanks - perfect for what I'm learning and working on. Simple, concise, gets to the point. Hopefully you've covered or will cover modes and how this flat7 (dom7?) fits into the bigger picture. Looking forward to watching your other vids.
D mixo=G major scale....this chord progression technically is a 5 2 1 in G major🤘tonally in sound of D
Were you an actor. You look like a character in Electric Apricot featuring Les Claypool.
Good lessons, perfect for my level and playstyle. Amen to what you said in the end. Subscribed. 🎸🎶☮
Sean, you've blown my mind! Not just this lesson but all the others I have recently seen. You have a way of communicating guitar skills that speak to me. Thank you so much man from Manchester UK.
@@paul3387 hey Paul! Thanks so much for commenting! I greatly appreciate your insight. And keep on rocking my friend.
Another great lesson sir…..thank you.
Love these “lead off chords “ lessons.
That has been the weakest part of my playing.

Hi Sean,
Just looped the progression you suggested and was jamming over it for hrs. What a blast. If I could figure out how and where to put in Double Stops I might become a lead guitar Monster. 🎸
Rock on.
Ken
@@kenkelly382 you can add double stops anywhere. Know that probably doesn’t help you much lol. I’ll do a lesson on it soon. Thanks for watching.
Very valuable information and great playing! The mix(olydian) and match'em concept is one I hadn't been aware of and is a real bonus to add tonal diversity. Thank you!
@@dowaliby1 thank you for watching and thank you for commenting! Keep on rocking my friend
Thank you great stufff 🎸🎸🎸
Shouldn’t the Am be A major in the key of D? G Am and D work in the key of G so wouldn’t it be the G and Em pentatonics? So confused
@@chrismcmillan1203 keep on watching and you’ll understand. It takes time. Thanks for watching.
I can’t get enough of your lessons! I noticed you use the fender TMP how do you like it? How are the tones compared to your tube amps? I’m looking into buying one.
@@wstn7938 thank you so much for the comment! I really appreciate you watching. I really dig the tone master pro. It really depends on what you’re looking for? For the purist out there, it probably is frowned upon. As a gigging musician, it’s easy and sounds good, definitely worth checking out my friend
Glad to see your channel is doing well. And to all the newer guitarists like myself, all these things will sink in over time after hearing them repeatedly. I know so much more than I did 3 years ago.
@@joej6041 thx so much!!
Fantastic lesson Sean I'm really impressed with these short lessons as you pack so much in.. One question which tone did you use on this was it through pedals or straight into your amp? Thanks again Sean...
@@raymobbs732 hey there! Thanks a bunch and much appreciated for the comment. I’m actually just using the fender tone master pro. Great unit. Check it out if you’re not familiar.
Thank you so much for this!

Great stuff Sean. Thank you! There is a lot of info here. I'm gonna have to watch it several times & loop that chord progression, work on soloing over it, & let it sink in.
