I want to live in Astoria so bad. Been there to visit, loved it. I'm a senior and it's hard to find housing for lower income. I visit this page frequently as it makes me feel tranquil.
Beautiful pictures of Astoria! Someday I hope to visit. I have been to Seaside but never made it to the Astoria. I have heard it is amazing to see in Winter too. Awesome video 💕
Astoria is only about 20 mins. north of Seaside .You should also visit the quaint town of Cannon Beach. which is about 10 mins. drive south of Seaside.
I have watched a few drone vids of the Tillamook Rock Lighthouse which i really like however have never seen any with the work put into them like your vids with the dramatic music etc or at the right times of day to capture particular lighting with cinema type editing (like yours) ... I reckon if your looking for more places to do these vids it would be well worth checking out
Really good video, enjoyed watching it. The picture clarity is good quality, was it an expensive drone you used? I'm really keen to visit Oregon, planning a trip and would like to take in Astoria. I'm thinking of staying in Portland, is a trip to Astoria do-able in a day using public transport?
Thank you Ziugi. I appreciate the great feedback. I use the DJI mavic pro. Not too expensive although DJI has 2 new drones which are less expensive and great quality also. There may be public transportation to Astoria, however it may be expensive and a very long drive that way. I would suggest renting a car and that way you can enjoy Astoria, Seaside and Cannon beach, all North shore towns within a 30 mile drive. Plan on about a 2 hour drive from Portland. Hope you make it.
ziugi d - There are two buses a day from Portland, but between arriving in Astoria in the morning and catching the evening bus back, you would be rushed to see anything. If you just want to visit the maritime museum and the Astoria column, that would be doable with careful planning. The bus terminal is not close to either. I would rent a car in Portland.
Now Boarding - People should be aware that the “Goonies” house is a private residence and the occupants do not like having their privacy violated by sightseers.
GH1618 ya pretty fully aware. But still get close and grab a picture. She knew what she bought. lots of people trying to get HGTV to buy it. But thanks for the information for others.
Hello Eleven; Thank you for viewing my channel. Most towns in western Oregon are very accepting communities. Especially the coastal towns such as Astoria, Seaside, Canon beach and Manzanita, all North Coast towns within a few miles of each other. I hope this gives you the confidence to plan a trip to the Oregon coast.
Thanks for a great tour...I was able to see features I didn't know existed - especially that huge accumulation of seals. Wonderful video, thank you.

How gay friendly is the town?

Astoria is only 10K in population but it has a LGBT bar and a LGBT community center. That's pretty stinkin' good, if you ask me.
