To avoid having your box come like that in the future, when you are checking out there is an option you check to have it come ships in an Amazon box. You scroll down to the bottom where, if it says it’s ship it’s own Packaging you have to select to have it “ship In Amazon packaging”. It doesn’t cost you anything extra to do that. I hope this helps for the future.

Hi Steve. Thanks for the review. I just bought one at Kohl’s on sale with my 30% off coupon, some Kohl’s cash and an extra coupon. All in was $116. I am not a big sweets eater but will try it out. If not, back to Kohls it goes.

@@ladyfran1960 I too bought my Ninja Creami ice cream maker from Kohl's for that same price. By the time I used all my coupons, Kohl's cash and opened up the Kohl's credit card for additional 30% off (just to get the Ninja Creami) LoL, it ended up being $116. I'm so happy with it! If you haven't already try it with keto chow, soooo easy to make. My favorite flavors so far are the Keto Chow Caramel macchiato (which is great cause it's caffeine free) the chocolate and the chocolate toffee flavors. Omgosh, they're to die for. It was totally worth the price!! My Cuisinart ice cream maker is no longer in commission and I've put it in storage. LoL. There's no comparison to the Ninja Creami.

I just watched this again so I could share it on a forum I belong to. I ordered my Creami about 2 years ago, refurbished for $100. on Woot and I have used it almost daily. I am an ice cream person and use Keto Chow as a meal in the afternoon. So having ice cream at that time is something I look forward to. Keto Chow and the Ninja Creami is the perfect combination keeping me on track. Thank you for your review, Steve!

Thanks for the thorough testing. I'll absolutely be trying your lemon-sour cream recipe. I am enjoying my Ninja Creami. Definitely look for coupons/promos. You can pretty much always get 20% off at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Since Keto Chow is a meal in itself, I've occasionally had "ice cream" for dinner; especially after a long day/shift when all I want are my PJs and something comforting.

I got one when they first came out as well. Love the thing. I have another larger ice cream maker but i like this because i don’t have such a huge bowl to take up freezer space. Plus, i can make as many different flavors as i have pints containers. Another mention is you can buy extra parts and pint containers (blades, blending lids, etc) which makes it very handy. It is very loud i agree. For me and my husband, ice cream (sorbet etc) is the only treat we eat and we eat a small amount nightly. So when comparing the 6.00 per pint we were paying, i think it will come in paying for itself quickly for us. Thanks for the review. Now i need to get the ingredients for your sherbet. I love lemon yummy!!! If anyone drinks sprite (i do the zero sugar in this drink), try making a sorbet (any fruit flavor but my favorite is pineapple) and adding it to glass and mixing in the sprite. It is SUPER! We drink this as our nightly treat more than ice cream it seems. So yummy 🤤

Ice Cream was one of the foods I dearly missed when going Keto. I did buy the Ninja Creami. I agree it is a little pricey, but I knew I would be using it often. There are two things I wish this machine did. 1) I wish the containers were a little larger. That way I could make ice cream ahead of time, enough for a few nights for 2 people. 2) I wish you didn't have to freeze the container ingredients overnight. If I want ice cream, I want it now(not liking you have to think ahead, LOL!) But overall, I am happy with it. I have 2 pints in the freezer right now, made with fresh strawberries and coconut milk. I have also made Rocky Road(using sugarfree marshmallows) Lemon Sorbet, Pecan Praline(using extract, and pecans as mix ins), and chocolate. I haven't tried it with Keto Chow. In fact I haven't even tried Keo Chow yet. Anyways, thanks Steve for another great video. And happy belated Anniversary!

    • @sarahp9300

They sell the pint containers and lids on ninja website. Or I just prepare the ice cream ahead of time and transfer it to another Rubbermaid container that is freezer safe. When you are ready to scoop it out you do have to let it thaw a bit because it is hard but it frees up your pint containers cheaper😁. I find I have to let all the brands of keto ice cream thaw a bit so it is ok with me. Just a thought 👍🏻

Glad to get your review and will definitely need to try out your lemon sherbet recipe! You also might have convinced me to finally buy some allulose! I couldn't wait and bought a creami a few weeks ago and am VERY impressed! I had a cuisinart ice cream maker I was using with keto chow previously. My wife and I have keto chow ice cream for dinner 3 or 4 nights a week! My standard recipe is 1/2 stick of butter, 1 scoop keto chow, and water to fill up to 1 pint, about 1.5 cups. 1 light ice cream spin and 2 re-spins. My wife like soft serve so I spin hers first and then put the pint in some warm water for a few minutes while mine spins, and then one more re-spin for her and its great!... I tried lowering the fat some for a PSMF day to see how it turns out, 1TBSP of avocado oil, the taste difference was very slight from the butter. We Really love it!

I bought a Creami but haven't quite learned the best recipe for a keto ice cream.
Btw, I've found the best way to combat the 'powder effect' is to let the ice cream warm for 15-20mins. If I leave it on the countertop for 20mins and THEN put it through the "ice cream" cycle, it comes out creamy the first time

@@SeriousKeto BARELY! I did Ketochow like you, but only butter with water. I liked the texture and it tasted pretty decent.
But I noticed that I had to spin/respin it several times and (as a former chemist) I got the feeling it was the temp was still too low to allow the fats to turn creamy. So I let it sit and didn't have to churn it as much.
I'm so glad you got a unit though cause I'm looking for people doing experiments to learn from.
I'm hoping to develop a good keto base custard I can add cocoa, extracts to in order to create ice creams that compete with Rebel/Halo Top

So excited to start seeing different recipes and variations start coming out for the Creami! One of my favorites so far is Orange Cream Dream.
1 Packet Orange Cream Keto Chow
    4tbsp Butter
    1tbps sweetner (better mouthfeel)
3 short squirts of Mio Orange Cream (tastes like an old school Push Up from the ice cream truck)
    Some whipped cream on top.
Also, adding a tbsp of dark chocolate powder to any chocolate flavor helps it out. The 24hr prep time does suck, but like anything keto, the best flavor comes from experimentation and preparation. The "Science Project spaghetti noodles" blows miracle, fathead, and kelp noodles out of the water, but it's a pain to make too. After losing almost 40lbs though, I'll put in the extra prep and cleanup work at the sink, it's all just extra calories burned for me now.

I'd be interested to see how this compares to the "food processor" ice-cream technique. After you make your ice-cream mix, you put it in ice cube trays (or whatever as long as it's not just one big lump, but is at least several smaller lumps). Then you take the desired amount of cubes of ice-cream and put them through the food processor. I haven't tried it, but a few web sites have said it's a great alternative to an ice-cram machine.

You did say something about re-spinning after add ins. To this point the add ins have not gotten chopped up during this process for me. I use Lilly chocolate chips. My guess is that they are so hard from being frozen in the freezer that the blade isn't sharp enough to slice through them. So re-spinning after add ins doesn't seem to be a problem. Can't speak for other types of add ins yet.

I literally just poured a bottle of their Punkin Spice coffee in a creami pint, added a few basics, dash of salt, splash of vanilla, 2 T allulose and 1/4 tsp tara gum. Topped it to the fill line with cream or half & half. It was great! May add a dash of Pumpkin Spice mix to the next pint to up the flavors.

Hey Steve, loving our Creami! We've had it for a few months now and it's a rare night that we don't savor keto ice cream. As far as honeymoon period, that applied more to keto chow in our case. Initially, it was fun to experiment with different flavors, but keto chow just has a weird taste, and ultimately can't even hold a candle to store bought keto ice cream which really isn't that much more expensive than keto chow. With a little extra effort home made is the way to go. It takes a while to experiment and dial personal preference in terms of consistency and flavor, but once you get there you'll never go back to keto chow (at least not for ice cream)! In that regard I wanted to share something that turned out phenomenal. The secret mix in ingredient is those keto coconut clusters from Costco, which add extra sweet and savory, as well as a chocolate chip consistency to a generic chocolate base. I was a little disappointed with the chocolate base, I think when I made it I had even watered it down a bit from the recipe below, but after mixing in the clusters, holy cow, amazing!
    2 cups heavy cream
    2 cups unsweet almond milk
    1/2 cup unsweet cocoa powder
    3 egg yolks
    1/8 oz knox gelatin
    1 cup allulose
    1 tbsp vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp salt
Bring heavy cream, almond milk, and cocoa powder to a simmer over medium heat, whisking until combined. Temper egg yolks, and add remaining ingredients, whisking frequently until it reaches 160 degrees. Let cool somewhat before adding to creami containers and freezing overnight. From frozen, select ice cream mode in the creami (and respin ONLY if powdery, the gelatin makes it more like soft serve), then add a generous amount of keto coconut clusters (using mix in mode).

This sounds delicious and I live in Canada where Keto Chow is extremely expensive and as for flavour I’ve never been overly impressed when using it in my baking. I’ve been making everything from scratch and homemade is the way for me to continue to Keto on, I’ve even made my own keto chocolate which is ridiculously easy once you start using cacao butter (food grade only) and melt in a pan over extremely low heat and then add Allulose and mix in cocoa powder then you can use to pour over your own coconut flakes or shreds or whatever you like and it’s literally pennies on the dollar compared to what those clusters at Costco charge plus no preservatives require just store them in the freezer. Also it’s super simple to make your own chocolate chips, and white chocolate chips (just don’t add the cacao powder and add some homemade vanilla extract). Anyway just something to do while you are waiting for your ice cream to freeze. 😁🥰❤️🇨🇦 Thanks for sharing your recipe!!!

This is most interesting expecially since butter really is heavy cream without water (or whey), so it makes sense to reunite those two ingredients again. I have no idea what Keto Chow is and found in google that it is a powder to replace a normal meal. I shall pass on that but will experiment with adding maybe some non-fat milk powder, cocoa, coffee or even fresh fruit from my garden. I am glad I foud this site. I really like my Ninja Creami and am trying out all sorts of recipes, some work, some don't. One I really like is full-fat real Greek yoghurt, vanilla and some date syrup (or honey) - I only used a couple of tablsp., plus a scant 1/4 tsp. of Tara gum. It is creamy, refreshing and very tasty, and not too sweet. I shall try the butter/water mix next!

I think we'll hold off for 2 reasons: 1- Hubby has had a statis migraine for 10 years, so the noise makes this not a good fit, and 2- we don't eat enough ice cream to dictate the cost. Maybe some day, as when we do enjoy ice cream, would be nice to have good healthy ice cream. Another excellent video.

Here's a little clarity on the break-even point: my local Costco has a half gallon of heavy whipping creme for less than $9. So I did the numbers and the cost of a pint of vanilla ice cream via this machine and my local $6 Ben and Jerry's is about 13% the cost (87% less expensive). Another way of saying it would be that you have to buy a bit less than 40 pints of ice cream before you break even. Yeah that is a lot, but once you get good, I think you can make ice cream better than Ben and Jerry's even.
Also, none of the recipes are crumbly if you measure things correctly (at least they weren't for my freezer temperature). And if they are, don't just respin it; put some milk or water in it and then respin. Just respinning over and over is just heating the stuff up, which makes it less viscous. If you want to do that, then microwave the pint for 15 to 30 seconds or so then a respin.
Last comment on this is that you should do a little experimentation and research if you are serious about making very high-quality ice cream. I used the so-called "vanilla lite" recipe as a start. I then used heavy creme and milk but less overall milkfat. I also added one to one and a half tablespoon(s) of creme chess (like in the tradition recipe) and a 1/4 teaspoon of guar gum (you can get it inexpensivley online). The creme cheese and guar gum are stabilizers and will keep the texture and hardness just right. When you get the hang of it, the ice cream is perfect, including after it has been in storage for a day or two (i.e. it will stay scoopable without a respin).

wrong, your blender cannot even remotely do the same. There is a reason this technology has been patented up until a year ago or so. The commercial product is called pacojet, and costs 6500$. Now, you can get the same device but for less than 200 in the ninja creami. If your vitamix could do the same, pacojet wouldve been out of business.

I just purchased mine from Best Buy, they currently had the lowest price in my area and most other stores were sold out. In my area KETO pints cost $6.99 and maybe $5.99 if you can find a sale. Walmart does carry some but very limited flavors. Buying 2 pints a month for a year is gonna cost roughly $143 - $167. So for me the price is worth having the infinite flavors and not being limited to just what is available at the store. Not to mention I will have control over the ingredients.
