I am from the future. 6 years have passed and Jagger and Richards are still going strong. Meanwhile, rook endings are still always drawn, except for one thing.
Nice lecture, thanks Ben.
Great lecture
Thank you
Nice lesson, well done! FWIW, the "w" in Tartakower is pronounced as a "v", so _Tartakover_ would be the way to say it.
You should try shogi or xiangqi, I would love to see that
paused and successfully predicted the 3 things you want to do in the end game. Activate your rook. Push your pass pawns and move your king up.
You should play in the candidates
Movin' on up....🎶🎶
hey look, it's 5 minutes!
i don't get the shoulders of giants / changing lightbulbs joke apart from the fact that its a strange combination of two different common figures of speech
It appears that you get the joke
meh... not his best@@holctomaz2562
They drink blood
The Rook A8, Ben doesn't really explain it to well and is relying on previous lectures and a knowledge of Ben. lol.
For the new comers, putting the Rook on A8 means that not only are you trapping your ony major piece to the corner/side/back file/ you are playing for a perpetual draw. That's a boring and tedious way to play. Don't do that.
Develop your pieces where you can. Retreat if you have to. But, don't cower in a corner for a perpetual draw.
A perpetual draw is when players repeat the same move over and over and over.
Completely unnecessary political comment, and I'm not even American...
Wouldn't be a Ben Finegold video if he didn't cry about Trump at least once...
If he doesn't like Trump, he must be highly pissed about the disaster that is Biden's presidency.
From europe down t care but yes to say donald trump is a good president you are crazy but to say Biden is a good one you have to have a mental ilness, truth hurts
