  • Have you ever bought those harbor freight organizers (actual name 20 Bin Medium Portable Parts Storage Case #93928, 62778) and the pesky label is hard to remove? This is a quick tip sharing how I deal with them.
I use the specialist WD-40 in the video but any WD-40 should work as well.

    Awesome tip, thanks!!
Just finished using this method on 14 cases. Worked perfectly. I found ten minutes soak time was much more effective though.

Yep, probably should have mentioned in the video that the minimum was around 10 minutes, at 5 minutes all the paper is not quite removed, but great to know that this helped someone!

I recently purchased several "clear" plastic bins from HF which each had the large ugly grey/black labels stuck inside them. Your WD40 method worked perfectly (I waited 15-20 minutes). Thank you for taking the time to post this - I really appreciate it!!

Wow, looks like a whole lot easier than a heat gun and a scraper.

Man, after Harbor Freight changed from the easy-peel labels to these new ones, this has been a constant pain to remove. Great tip to soak in the WD40 and wait 10-15 minutes; that was the key. All of my labels peeled right off afterward with no issues. Thanks for the helpful video, saved me a bunch of frustration trying to scrape it off!

I realize this video is 2 years old now, but........
Two days ago I went to my local Harbor Freight and bought 7 of these boxes - 4 or the regular and 3 of the deep boxes. All 7 had the labels on the OUTSIDE of the cellophane. No label stuck to the box lid !!!!!

I just sprayed GOO GONE, let it set for a brief period of time and the sticker comes right off.
