Label Removal from Harbor Freight Storehouse Storage Case

- Many reviews mentioned how hard removing this label was. They were not kidding! However, I found something that makes easy work if it. Also check out my video on how to straighten out the walls of the individual bins.
Great video! I just bought the Harbor Freight Store House 15 bin portable parts case and had the same issue with the label affixed to the clear plastic top. How annoying! I tried soaking the label with rubbing alcohol, then acetone, then hot soapy water to no avail. I ended up with sticky glue residue on the clear plastic top. Hopefully your method will remove the residue! I’m going to buy the Goo Gone and will update results. UPDATE: IT WORKS GREAT! Thanks again!

This is interesting Jennifer. I have purchased many of these cases over the past two years. The ones I purchased from my local Harbor Freight lift right off. Perhaps Harbor Freight uses a different adhesives in different parts of the country? It’s a shame you have to work so hard to get those off. It’s a good tip for those who do struggle with these. I do love goof off. I found it very useful over the years.
It would have saved a ton of trouble if they lifted right off! Interesting that all of yours did not have this issue.

I agree they are a nightmare to remove on the small cases, Its really crazy that we must go through this just to remove a label. l did the same thing you did even before I saw your vid, now I ask why and I think we should all complain to Harbor Freight on this as it should just be stuck to the outside plastic in my opinion, why must they stick it direct to the box? I see no reason and if they want to stick it direct to the box then just use easy peel labels why they are using permanent sticker labels is beyond me and really not needed other companies do not do this I have a Husky and the label is just tacked on so its easy to remove. If so many people are annoyed at this dumb move by Harbor Freight they should really listen to the end user and change how they do this. Whats odd is some people say that it is an easy peel label, not the ones I purchased in the USA in 2022 just a few days ago these were the small ones and it was a pain to remove the labels everyone that has this issue should contact corporate and tell them your not a happy camper and send them this video. Maybe if enough of us let them know they will take note and change it to what I have suggested.

That is my usual method for removing labels off of most things, but it did not work for these.
