The one thing you always have to worry about in having a garage is, security, if you live on a busy street or neighborhood, every time you open your garage you invite eyes to peer into your world of precious stuffs. Sir, you and I are kindred spirits. Honestly, when I saw the title of your video I chuckled as I'm somewhat of an organization freak myself. After only a very few minutes I knew I had to watch. Very impressive garage. I especially like the laundry room shelving for keeping pliers tidy. The level of organization throughout is superb and your rational for being organized is spot on. I also really loved that you've kept the vital elements of home and family in your garage. As a fellow Canadian I salute you. Wow... just wow. I am both daunted and inspired by seeing your workspace and hearing your thinking on how and why each part is designed and used. I am also one who was raised to not throw things away, but organizing all those damn bits and bobs is a chore. In my garage *and* in my art studio. You are so right though, that organizing them hap-hazardly has resulted in wasted time. It's good to hear your encouragement that putting in the time up front will pay back in the long run. I'm about to do yet another organization of my studio work-space so the timing of finding this video (randomly! I was looking at something else!) is perfect. I hand-sew, machine sew, paint (on canvas), draw, make papier mache, handmade books, collages, masks, faux finish painted furniture... etc. I just bought a YUKON 9 drawer, wheeled tool cabinet that I am VERY excited about. I have a lot of mis-matched storage pieces collected over time and am happy to be consolidating things and creating different, more customized storage for all of my projects. I also bought hanging bags- the kind used for prescriptions at the pharmacy- but in several different sizes, from 7"x10" up to 20" x 25". They're 4 ML plastic with heavier weight handles than the ones for pharmacies. I bought shelf standards and I customized the brackets to fit the 3/8" metal rods that accommodate the handles of the hanging bags. So when I get that up on the wall, I will be able to store papers and fabrics as well as ongoing projects in a way that I can *see* them (rather than digging through boxes and bins to find them). I think they'll take up less room too. And for the tiny stuff... I've always been a bit skeptical about those multi-small drawer bins but seeing your organizing system makes so much sense in using them efficiently. I could go on, but I'll stop here! Just thanks very much for sharing this!
The best part of it all was witnessing your (well deserved) pride in the finished product! That's a great job. I like the drill press station w/ the swing out grinder table. Smart. You put a lot use in your overall footprint & wall space.
"Super low budget" but shows his multiple store bought storage cabinets and drawers at 6:50 and 15:25 and 19:40. The thing I liked was the stand at 18:06, with the drill press, grinder and accessories on a moveable platform, I might use that.
I did the cabinets thing but I never considered making them look like a toolbox or thinking they'd look that good. This is like garage/dad inspiration.
DAMNED BRILLIANT !!!! YOU ARE DEFINITELY NO PACK RAT!! YOU ARE THE MOST ORGANIZED HANDS-ON PROFESSIONAL THAT ANYONE COULD EVER FIND ON YOU TUBE. I TOO NEVER THROW ANYTHING AWAY, AND IT HAS BEEN HELL FOR ME TO WORK ON PROJECTS. YOU HAVE INSPIRED ME TO DO SO MUCH BETTER. RAISED ON A FARM WITH NO MONEY?? YOU ARE AMAZING. I LIKE THE WAY YOU USE THOSE CLOSET MAID SHELVING FOR YOUR PLIER TYPE TOOLS. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! WHENEVER I GO ONTO RUclips OR ONTO OTHER PARTS OF THE INTERNET TO WATCH PEOPLE REPAIR OR REVIEW TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT, I ALWAYS FOCUS ON THE BACKGROUND BEHIND THEM. THAT'S WHERE I LEARN HOWTHEY ORGANIZE THIER STUFF. NO ONE, NOT EVEN THE BEST MECHANICS, COME CLOSE TO YOUR LEVEL AND INNOVATION OF ORGANIZATION.
My husband finally gets his dream garage! I’m so excited for him! He takes great care of his vehicles, his tools, and all of the other man stuff. I have a feeling it may look like yours once it’s all put together. Although, he doesn’t use pegboard…🤔
Amazing! Should get an award for "a place for everything and everything in it's place". Not sure how this is low budget. I guess it's an incremental thing. I'm about to move stuff out of my garage into new shed, so this video is excellent as a target to aim for in keeping garage and shed from spiraling out of control. I won't get there (limited budget) but getting even 5% there would be an improvement.
You’re a live version of Tony Stark!!! A real Iron Man!! I think my mouth was opened the entire video! What an inspiration! From Labels to the phone directory to ALEXA!!😮 what??? My respects! Your son is very blessed to have a dad like you! Thank you for sharing!
Awesome setup & organization system . I ended up using a small plastic portable toolbox for my electrical tools because I regularly packed them up to use them outside of my garage.
That Kitchen cabinets w/ red paint & snap-on emblem really touch that up like a set of expensive Snap - on set. I'm putting that on my to do list, if you don't mind me copycat you. Cheers & Thanks for Showing.
I have a very similar numbering system on an Excel spreadsheet. It is printed it out alphabetically. It's very quick to locate anything. Another benefit is if you have too many of one item (like your example of small tubes) to fit in one drawer, put the excess in another drawer that has room to spare and note it on the spreadsheet. Great tips - thanks for posting it!
On your sheet, do you do sizes? Dropdown list to pick the size? If so, how did you get a good list for the dropdown? How are you storing it? I am thinking I am breaking it out (thread, diameter, length, etc). Only issue with that then you need a column for each type of fasteners. It is a work in progress.
So, gardening/lawn maintenance equipment and Xmas decorations are stored elsewhere?? Kudos for being so organized and putting thought in caring for your tools, not just your projects. How do you vacuum under the floor tiles?
I'm impressed with the organization but even MORE impressed with the cleanliness! I cut ONE piece of wood and the whole garage is a mess!!! Is your dust management that effective or do you just not do much woodworking?
Awesome... I certainly aspire to have this level of organization and cuss myself out everytime I go to look for something!!! Two things I am very intrigued by though are the black tile garage flooring and the "parking spot" floor draining system you have. I would love more information about your set up.
The tile is called multi tile, it clicks together. The floor draining system is a piece of vinyl flooring with pvc pipe as borders to lift up the edges to contain the water.
Very nice garage. Good to know a person doesn’t have to have a HUGE shop to get things done. I love the small work areas. I always think I need a huge work bench area to get things done, but you showed that you can get the same thing done in a smaller area. A person can only work in one area at a time, right?
Great set up. There are several ideas there I'll be using in my relentless pursuit of organization. The re-purposing your kitchen cabinets made to look like a tool chest was pure genius. One thing I saw that might help you is to add some sliders trays under all your automotive liquid bottles (10:06) to make it easy to get to the ones in the back. Now, back to MY garage. I've got a lot of work to do. Thanks for posting.
I was smiling like this is my garage 😊 soon my friends. Great work by a great man. Dude seems like an old friend, great work sir 👊🏾 FYI I build resto mods high level. Very expensive and a lot of space. I wish we were half as organized. Time saver
I too use magnetic labels for my drawers, one extra thing I do is that each magnetic label has a photo of either the drawers contents or a generic photo of they type. That way when I have a drawer that has multiple items the photo provides further detail of what is in there. Provides a neat visual addition to easily find things.
Enjoyed this video very much, in the process of organising my garage, if its a 1/4 the shape yours is in I'll be damn proud! Thank you for sharing 🚗🏍🛠🪛🔧🔩🗜
I 5 you sunk my battle ship... I love the level of organization out of control. 5S for sure, i am sure you know it is a living ever changing orginism, you have to love the ride!
Very nice set up! I too can’t imagine letting go of some of the special things my sons played with and collected when they were young. Into dad’s shop they go!
i just came across this vid... instead of locking up your bike / things, why not just put a perimeter alarm (many options, ie invisible fence, motion detection, ...) outside and a cam inside? worked for me like a charm. could even tie that into a garage door opener / closer and if triggered then blast a siren and auto-closes the garage door. so many options.
Wow! Really nice! I think I saw a fire extinguisher by your sliding miter saw. I would say you might need one or two more fire extinguishers in a conspicuous location, especially if your son is going to be working in there in the future. There's also a product called the Elide Fire Ball that you can mount over areas that you think might catch on fire like in an area where you have batteries. I would have liked to know how you manage all your electrical cords. I have a lot of multi-outlet surge protectors but I still don't have enough plug-ins. I also had a whole house surge suppressor installed at my circuit box. I put a smoke detector in my garage, but if you're welding, maybe you don't want one. I bought a First Alert 10-Year Battery-operated Photoelectric Sensor Smoke Detector and I have smoke detector listening device (part of a security system called Abode) next to it. In the future I might just use a battery operated Nest Smoke detector. I also have an outdoor hose on a reel that can reach all the way into the garage (in case of fire), but it probably wouldn't help me in the winter because I disconnect the hose and put a cover over the faucet. Another thing I've wanted in my garage is a suction fan that vents to the outside for soldering. I also have a system called Abode that does home security and home automation. I put a door sensor on a hinge and attached it to my garage door so it will notify me if it's left open for too long, or is still open in the evening around the time I go to bed. I've thought about insulating my garage door with fiberglass bats. Also on my wish list are these special garage door tracks (Thermotraks) that are designed to push your door up against the wall to help it seal. Lately I've been thinking of eyewash stuff. I bought a few devices from Amazon like an "eye wash cup" and a "Eye Wash Cleaner Kit Manual Air Pressure Eye Cleaning Cup Tool". I've been meaning to build one of these out of PVC. www.survivalkit.com/blog/how-to-build-an-emergency-eye-wash-attachment/ If you don't follow Matt Risinger, make sure to subscribe to his channel. He has a lot of good tips that will make you think, usually about building new homes, but he has posted quite a bit of stuff about garages.
Well done! I’m just now retiring and watch out world, I WILL get my disastrous unorganized garage in order! 😂 It’s really cold in the mid 50’s and a good time to spend in the garage. Your comment, “I spent hours looking, took a break and tried again!”, I am so there right now… I need my rivet gun to complete some rocker panel work and my garage ate it. I know it’s there, buried. I’m going to take the leap and do what you’ve done 🥳. Cheers from Socal.
My friend what a terrific video whether a man has a garage Workshop or even a shed to keep his worldly possessions in it is always nice to have it organized where you can find what you need or remake repairs on what may need be fixed and you have done a terrific job at that you have given me ideas for my own garage thanks for the terrific video I am happy I found your Channel I have subscribed
Yes dear, but you really need to see THE 12 GAUGE GARAGE , please 🙏... highly acclaimed , was even popular mechanics ... Jack Olsen , Porsche ambassador , you must see !! enjoy ...
Great Respect for you! It is the most organized garage I have ever seen! Thank you for the inspiration and ideas to organize mine. Mine is a mess right now but hope someday to reach at least an intermediate level compared to yours! Thank you!!!
Very nice. We just moved to the country and had our garage/shop built next to the house. Now I get to start the organization process. I'll try to do some additional videos as I organize/build out the shop. You gave me some great ideas. One bit of constructive criticism. The thumbnail is you standing in front of your closed garage door. You might consider a thumbnail of you standing in front of one of the walls inside the shop. Kinda give viewers a preview of what they are going to watch... Just an idea. But great video.
The bottom line is the system is two dimensional and visual: You can see everything at a glance, nothing is hiding behind something else. That's his first rule. Its either vertical on a wall or horizontal in a drawer, but nothing is hiding visually. The second rule is grouping tools together into categories. This whole garage is about two dimensional presentation.
I love seeing a garage with multiple interests / activities layered together, and The notes organization of small parts is a fast efficient tool. Brilliant. The red repurposed kitchen cabinets look great too. Cheers from Cowtown

Awesome garage setup! I wish I'd seen this video before throwing out a chunk of old wire shelving. What tablet mount is that? Looks like it holds the iPad secure.
Great # and lettering System. I will definitely incorporate that into my shop. also i like the snap on look that you did, I'm also going to do that. i will however put all my cabinets on floor on wheels so i can wheel everything out of garage at any point when i need to . I actually probably will use pneumatic casters wheels since once i want to wheel stuff out of my garage its on uneven surfaces, dirt, grass gravel, concrete.
How do you keep your garage warm? The freezing cold has so far stopped me from using metal cabinets and shelving. It's about impossible to be out there working on the clutter or using tools in the colder months. Is it heated and insulated? Love your video.
Hello, thanks for the comment. My garage is 1/2 underground and also attached r]to my house. All the heat list from my house goes into the garage. On 40 below days I have a little space heater.
Wow!! Beautifully done! Love the way that you repurposed existing items, like your old kitchen cabinets. Made them look great! You said that you are a corvette guy, do you own one or have you previously owned any? Again, well done!
Hi there, thank you for the tour of your garage. It's very organized and unique. I'm VERY interested in how you set up the "garage inventory" database in your phone. Could you possibly make a video further explaining how you did it and a more in depth look at how it works? Thank you.
13:36 point Alexa at a spreadsheet that has all you inventory in corresponding cells. “Alexa, where are the 3/4” hex head lag bolts?” “The 3/4” hex head lag bolts are in K-2-2.”
Your garage seems to be geared around automotive and bike accessories. Most family garages have bicycles, a lawnmower, edger, weed eater, wheelbarrow a garden hose, fold up lawn chairs, Christmas decorations, garbage cans. Where in your garage are these items stored?
Do you know the name of your flooring you mentioned was really inexpensive? It looks like some sort of plastic. Thanks for the video and love the labels on magnets idea!
Apparently, bicycles are the perfect form factor for opportunistic theft. As opposed to illicit drugs, it is legal to possess a bike. Consequences of getting caught with a stolen bike are negligible compared to grand theft auto. There is a robust market for a bikes easily disassembled parts, and finally, it is it’s own means of escape from the scene of the crime.
FIRE!! you appear to be missing a very important thing which is way to put out fires! You need fire extinguishers easily accessible. Please get them! At least one.
I love this . . . incredibly, incredibly relaxing and so nice to see the small touches that make it great. (Snap-on emblem on the cabinets = great touch) :)
For me it's always about the cost of the containers to hold the things that I'm trying to give a home. haha. Organization can get pricey but I love your ideas of organizing within the tool drawers.
Thank You! I am goin to Lowes today to get some wire shelving for the pliers - vice grips drawer and some foam as I am still digging for the right wrench and the holders they come with are hard to use and not big enough for orphans that my dad used and I can't get rid of.
One curious thing on your bicycle theft. You know I have it locked up however it’s hanging next to a bunch of keys. Can you clarify that it seems that that would be an odd place to store keys? If where are you store the bike itself is not a secure area wouldn’t keys be a very insecure thing to store just above it?
My garage is twice as big as yours and i feel i don't have enough room for everything. but after seeing yours, it's really just me not utilizing the space as best as i can for the tools and stuff that i have. i really like the movable vice table. The drill press with bench grinder on wheels. Very creative and functional ideas. It also seems we are into the same things, motorcycles, classic and muscle cars as well as the type of work we do. Again thanks for posting and i hope to duplicate some of these space keeping arrangements.
heres a quick lil thought all those inventory cases of hardwares and wires etc,, plug your list or system of labeleed storage bins or cases into alexa so u wont even need to access your notes in ur phone u can just shout out alexa what bin or case is 11 gauge wire in . **alexa answers , may help may not idk was just throwing out there bud keep rocking on superdad!!
@@at-atdesigns Create a list: Open the Alexa app. Go to "More" then select "Lists & Notes". Click "Create List" and name it "Shopping List" or something similar. Add items with location: Say "Alexa, add [item name] to my shopping list in the [location]". For example, "Alexa, add milk to my shopping list in the fridge" or "Alexa, add towels to my shopping list in the linen closet". Access the list and hear locations: Say "Alexa, what's on my shopping list?" Alexa will read out the list, including the specified locations for each item. Key points to remember: Specific locations: Be as specific as possible when describing where each item is located to get the most accurate information. Multiple lists: You can create different lists for different purposes, like a "Grocery List" and a "Cleaning Supplies List". Editing lists: You can edit the list by adding, removing, or changing item locations through voice commands or in the Alexa app , hope this helps your endeavors and makes life a lot simpler and time saving for ya bud . Very nice - got kinda obsessed years ago and I have everything in high quality metal cabinets - you can’t see one tool (other than my custom copper drill and copper press but I have over 1000. I guess it was my OCD. Good job 👍
I'm sure you have an air compressor, tucked away, but I don't recall seeing it, or hearing you mention it. I'd like to hear what you find to be "right sized", but not overkill in a compact garage, such as yours. And is it on wheels?
It’s very nice. However, an important fact here is that you simply don’t have a lot of stuff in this garage. I would love to find a video where a garage is shown with a lot of stuff which is still well organised.
Was thinking the same thing . A lot of that stuff like all the tapes , caulk, drywall tape , putty knives . Pretty much everything on the peg board could be in a clear container .::: but it does look nice
Nice custom shelves/benches that you made for your line of bike/mechanical work. Pretty inspiring, although my tools would require a different layout. Definitely a lot of inspirational elements to your setup, though, and the video is much appreciated! Thumbs up! Great job of organizing your space for your work flow!
I also grew up a poor kid without much prospects for having a really cool GIGANTIC TOOL SHOP in which to work. I'm relegated to two thirds of a one space of a three car garage space. Everything else if for the wife and kids (family storage). My stuff is relegated to a tight tool space. Would love to be able to take advantage of more of it, but the wife and kids insist on having a space for other activity space and storage-- ah, well, you work with what you get.
I'm a Professional Organizer who also loves tools and garage spaces. This speaks my language! 😁 Great job, love it!!
Thank you! 😊

My garage is a mess. I have many of the things you do with 0 time to tidy up and not enough room for all my stuff. When I hit my 60s and health issues took over my life, my todo list just slips more and more.
Totally understandable.
I’d say, donate it, I’m sure you have stuff there you haven’t used in years and may never use. The excess just causes you more stress.

Thank you for the tip of putting the drawer labels on a magnetic base. I am going to utilize your idea. Nice clean organization. 👌

THAT'S WHERE I LEARN HOWTHEY ORGANIZE THIER STUFF. NO ONE, NOT EVEN THE BEST MECHANICS, COME CLOSE TO YOUR LEVEL AND INNOVATION OF ORGANIZATION.
Wow thank you for the kind words, that is very nice of you.
My husband finally gets his dream garage! I’m so excited for him! He takes great care of his vehicles, his tools, and all of the other man stuff.
I have a feeling it may look like yours once it’s all put together. Although, he doesn’t use pegboard…🤔
Very cool!
This is so amazing!! As a micro organizer I really appreciate the detail! I'll be watching this again and again for inspiration and motivation
Thank you very much for the kind words.
This looks like a garage where you can actually *_do_* stuff in.
Thanks for the comment. I don’t know what I would do without my garage
I guess it’s low budget as far as I didn’t spend much money over 20 years
You’re a live version of Tony Stark!!! A real Iron Man!! I think my mouth was opened the entire video! What an inspiration! From Labels to the phone directory to ALEXA!!😮 what??? My respects! Your son is very blessed to have a dad like you! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you very much!
Awesome setup & organization system . I ended up using a small plastic portable toolbox for my electrical tools because I regularly packed them up to use them outside of my garage.
Right on!
That Kitchen cabinets w/ red paint & snap-on emblem really touch that up like a set of expensive Snap - on set. I'm putting that on my to do list, if you don't mind me copycat you. Cheers & Thanks for Showing.
Thanks. Ya for sure, I hope it works well for you like it has for me.
Awesome!
Another advantage is if your garage gets broken into and stuff stolen you have an inventory for your insurance company.
What about labeling the outside?
So, gardening/lawn maintenance equipment and Xmas decorations are stored elsewhere?? Kudos for being so organized and putting thought in caring for your tools, not just your projects.
How do you vacuum under the floor tiles?
Ya, I do vacuum floor tiles from the top. I guess one of these days I need to pull the, up to vacuum.
That wire shelving for tool separation is genius idea 👍👍👍
Thank you
OK, nice but no lift ?! Jack Olsen the (12 gauge garage ) ... hollar at your boy ... Porsche ambassador got the mean joint, bruh, check it out 😮
I'm impressed with the organization but even MORE impressed with the cleanliness! I cut ONE piece of wood and the whole garage is a mess!!! Is your dust management that effective or do you just not do much woodworking?
My saw does a good job keeping dust contained. If I am doing big stuff I will cut it outside.
Thanks 👍
Cameras to work with Alexa, to ID the unwanted "visitors"? Your organization skills are WAAAAYYY over the top creative & BRILLIANT!!!
Interesting and thanks!
You are a fantastic organizer! ! My goodness come organize my tools please! Lol I'm a great grandma! Needless to say I want your skills!
Oh thank you!
Thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks for the comment and the suggestion!
This is one of the rare videos whose content lives up to the title.
Thank you, that is very kind of you to say.
Please come to Texas and let us pay you to renovate our garage! Lol. Kidding, Not kidding! 😅
That would be awesome, kidding not kidding!
Bro, this is OCD heaven! I thought I was bad but you win the gold medal!😀👍👏
Thanks…..I guess??lol
Why is it that u only have 1k subscribers but 500k views and ur vid is amazing 😊
Thanks. Ya, it is hard to get people to subscribe
Awesome garage. I love how you lock up the bike right below where all the keys are hanging! 😀
Those are key to locks that no longer exist
@@at-atdesigns I figured it was something like that but it was still pretty funny. 😀
I was smiling like this is my garage 😊 soon my friends. Great work by a great man. Dude seems like an old friend, great work sir 👊🏾
FYI I build resto mods high level. Very expensive and a lot of space. I wish we were half as organized. Time saver
Thanks for the comment and the kind words.
I too use magnetic labels for my drawers, one extra thing I do is that each magnetic label has a photo of either the drawers contents or a generic photo of they type. That way when I have a drawer that has multiple items the photo provides further detail of what is in there. Provides a neat visual addition to easily find things.
Wow, that’s cool
Enjoyed this video very much, in the process of organising my garage, if its a 1/4 the shape yours is in I'll be damn proud! Thank you for sharing 🚗🏍🛠🪛🔧🔩🗜
Thank you and good luck!
I 5 you sunk my battle ship... I love the level of organization out of control. 5S for sure, i am sure you know it is a living ever changing orginism, you have to love the ride!
Thanks for the comment
Very nice set up! I too can’t imagine letting go of some of the special things my sons played with and collected when they were young. Into dad’s shop they go!
Aweseome. I am sure when the grandkids come around someday they will appreciate that you kept them!
i just came across this vid... instead of locking up your bike / things, why not just put a perimeter alarm (many options, ie invisible fence, motion detection, ...) outside and a cam inside? worked for me like a charm. could even tie that into a garage door opener / closer and if triggered then blast a siren and auto-closes the garage door. so many options.
Thanks, great advice
I've been meaning to build one of these out of PVC. www.survivalkit.com/blog/how-to-build-an-emergency-eye-wash-attachment/

At the start, I was like “ok…pretty basic stuff here.” By the end, Mind. Blown. Great job!
Thanks
Thanks for the comment. I hope you find your rivet gun!
Thank you for the kind words!
Very nice good to see your wife is highly trained not to dump crap in it
Lol!
Just sent this to my husband. Best garage video I’ve ever seen.
Thank you very much!
Thank you for the kind compliment!
Thanks for the tip and good luck with your garage,
The bottom line is the system is two dimensional and visual: You can see everything at a glance, nothing is hiding behind something else. That's his first rule. Its either vertical on a wall or horizontal in a drawer, but nothing is hiding visually. The second rule is grouping tools together into categories. This whole garage is about two dimensional presentation.
Interesting
I love seeing a garage with multiple interests / activities layered together, and The notes organization of small parts is a fast efficient tool. Brilliant.
The red repurposed kitchen cabinets look great too.
Cheers from Cowtown
Cool, a fellow Albertan, thanks for the comment.
Yeah cool . No lift ... whack garage , jack Olsen ( the 12 gauge garage .. I'll talk to you later ...
I love the color of the garage door and it's actually similar to a color that I'm planning on painting my garage door
Thank you very much!

Awesome job, I'm looking to organize my garage and I'm borrowing some of your ideas. Thanks for making this video it is very helpful.
Thank you very much!
Awesome garage setup! I wish I'd seen this video before throwing out a chunk of old wire shelving. What tablet mount is that? Looks like it holds the iPad secure.
Yes itdoes
Great # and lettering System. I will definitely incorporate that into my shop. also i like the snap on look that you did, I'm also going to do that. i will however put all my cabinets on floor on wheels so i can wheel everything out of garage at any point when i need to . I actually probably will use pneumatic casters wheels since once i want to wheel stuff out of my garage its on uneven surfaces, dirt, grass gravel, concrete.
Thanks for sharing!
The Tim Allen TOOLTIME starter garage. Good on you.
Lol
fliptop tool bench would be nice for the miter saw/chop saw. Then setup some sort of universal "dust" collection. Nice garage organization.
Ya, that’s possibility for sure. I do like having it 100% ready at all times with no setup at all
Wow!! Beautifully done! Love the way that you repurposed existing items, like your old kitchen cabinets. Made them look great! You said that you are a corvette guy, do you own one or have you previously owned any? Again, well done!
Thanks for the nice words. My roommate had a 78 vette I drove often and fell in love with. I later owned an 87.
Amazing work. You should be very proud. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much!
Hi there, thank you for the tour of your garage. It's very organized and unique. I'm VERY interested in how you set up the "garage inventory" database in your phone. Could you possibly make a video further explaining how you did it and a more in depth look at how it works? Thank you.
Thanks for the idea!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful videos can you please do a toolboxes tours watching from South Africa
Thank you and sure!
13:36 point Alexa at a spreadsheet that has all you inventory in corresponding cells. “Alexa, where are the 3/4” hex head lag bolts?” “The 3/4” hex head lag bolts are in K-2-2.”
That is next level for sure! I guess there must be a RUclips video out there showing how to do that. That might be where I go next!
@@at-atdesignsPlease make a video about it if you do it!
If your bike gets stolen in between going to your back yard, you DON’T live is a good neighborhood!!!😂
I guess but is there Is there any neighbourhood that is safe from thieves?
Yeah good neighborhoods, not adjacent to crap neighborhoods
Brilliant work. Some good ideas too. Concerting my garage soon. Don't have nearly as much as you do, but there is time hahahaha.
Thanks for the comment!
So far Your garage organization was the most helpful. You have really great ideas.
Wow, thank you!
Best garage I’ve ever seen!! The dog is super cute too!
Thank you!!!
Your garage seems to be geared around automotive and bike accessories. Most family garages have bicycles, a lawnmower, edger, weed eater, wheelbarrow a garden hose, fold up lawn chairs, Christmas decorations, garbage cans. Where in your garage are these items stored?
I have a nice big shed
Like you I don’t throw anything away but that’s where the similarity ends because I’m terrible at deciding where to put things so my garage is a mess
Lol!
Very impressive. I'm in the process of redoing my garage. I love being organized it really saves time. 😊❤
Thank you
Do you know the name of your flooring you mentioned was really inexpensive?
It looks like some sort of plastic.
Thanks for the video and love the labels on magnets idea!
It is just a snap together plastic tile from Home Depot
I love how well you utilized all the wall space.
Thank you
Apparently, bicycles are the perfect form factor for opportunistic theft. As opposed to illicit drugs, it is legal to possess a bike. Consequences of getting caught with a stolen bike are negligible compared to grand theft auto. There is a robust market for a bikes easily disassembled parts, and finally, it is it’s own means of escape from the scene of the crime.
All very good points.
FIRE!! you appear to be missing a very important thing which is way to put out fires! You need fire extinguishers easily accessible. Please get them! At least one.
Great advice. I do have one handy on my shelf right beside my saw.
Excellent set up. It’s awesome how everything flows perfectly. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
I love this . . . incredibly, incredibly relaxing and so nice to see the small touches that make it great. (Snap-on emblem on the cabinets = great touch) :)
Thank you very much
For me it's always about the cost of the containers to hold the things that I'm trying to give a home. haha. Organization can get pricey but I love your ideas of organizing within the tool drawers.
Thanks
Thank You! I am goin to Lowes today to get some wire shelving for the pliers - vice grips drawer and some foam as I am still digging for the right wrench and the holders they come with are hard to use and not big enough for orphans that my dad used and I can't get rid of.
Thanks for the comment!
You’re ver observant. Those are old keys that I am not even sure where they belong
Why not label instead of going to your phone. Loving the garage. Is it insulated?
The phone helps me to search
KUDOS to you, wish more men were like that. God Bless
Thank you
love the red painted cabinets , very clever. id like to see more about the motorcycle with the 16 on front and fabricated {?} front end !
It is a custom Yamaha bolt.
Thanks for watching and the nice comments!
heres a quick lil thought all those inventory cases of hardwares and wires etc,, plug your list or system of labeleed storage bins or cases into alexa so u wont even need to access your notes in ur phone u can just shout out alexa what bin or case is 11 gauge wire in . **alexa answers , may help may not idk was just throwing out there bud keep rocking on superdad!!
I have wanted to do that exact thing. How would I go about “plugging in’ the list?
@@at-atdesigns Create a list:
Open the Alexa app.
Go to "More" then select "Lists & Notes".
Click "Create List" and name it "Shopping List" or something similar.
Add items with location:
Say "Alexa, add [item name] to my shopping list in the [location]".
For example, "Alexa, add milk to my shopping list in the fridge" or "Alexa, add towels to my shopping list in the linen closet".
Access the list and hear locations:
Say "Alexa, what's on my shopping list?"
Alexa will read out the list, including the specified locations for each item.
Key points to remember:
Specific locations:
Be as specific as possible when describing where each item is located to get the most accurate information.
Multiple lists:
You can create different lists for different purposes, like a "Grocery List" and a "Cleaning Supplies List".
Editing lists:
You can edit the list by adding, removing, or changing item locations through voice commands or in the Alexa app , hope this helps your endeavors and makes life a lot simpler and time saving for ya bud . I need to quit dragging ma feet and start recording more but I got a broke az phone and no good camera so kind of a fish out of water there...,
The drill press-grinder set up is brilliant!
Thank you very much!
18 minutes. It's very tidy. Could have been a hospital cart in a previous life. Those carts could be modified to makes some nice carts in a garage.
Cool! Love the “toolbox” cabinet idea.
Thank you
Very nice - got kinda obsessed years ago and I have everything in high quality metal cabinets - you can’t see one tool (other than my custom copper drill and copper press but I have over 1000. I guess it was my OCD. Good job 👍
Thanks
I'm sure you have an air compressor, tucked away, but I don't recall seeing it, or hearing you mention it. I'd like to hear what you find to be "right sized", but not overkill in a compact garage, such as yours. And is it on wheels?
Yes I have an 10 gallon air compressor tucked away and it is hooked up to the hose real by my door in the video.
This is pure genius. Great job organizing!
Thank you very much for the kind comment!
Brilliant organization.
Thank you!
That self made car spot is genius
I'm doing that one for sure
Awesome!
Wow! Man, you really have it together. Kickass!!
Thank you!
It’s very nice. However, an important fact here is that you simply don’t have a lot of stuff in this garage. I would love to find a video where a garage is shown with a lot of stuff which is still well organised.
I have a shed to keep tires, bikes shovels, lawnmower etc
Was thinking the same thing . A lot of that stuff like all the tapes , caulk, drywall tape , putty knives . Pretty much everything on the peg board could be in a clear container .::: but it does look nice
Very neat and organized, but I don’t see a work table. The most impressive part is that you can still park a vehicle in your garage!
Thanks. All mu work benches are against the wall
You should have called it the flames garage. Total waist of space space cadet.
Thank you very much!
Great garage! How functional! What a dream.
Thank you for leaving such a kind comment!
Very nice setup, you have clearly put a lot of work into your setup. Nicely done!
