    I also wanna add some additional context since I was quoted in the video.
    I'm not at *all* a proficient Lucid Dreamer, I straight up suck at it (which is ironic considering I've been subscribed to Giz for a decade now) and this still worked for me in the little success I've had.
    And if you're curious the other two were because of FILD which is a very similar technique to this one (very mundane task).

      Techno, have you had more success since using these methods? And which one have you found to be more effective

    • @TechnoBacon
      @TechnoBacon 3 года назад

      @@5thkiechannel I haven't tried very much since to be perfectly honest but whenever I do I absolutely find more success doing them. Personally I like FILD more but that's just a preference thing.

    I haven't even attempted to have a lucid dream in like 10 years. Woke up in the night last night and decided to try this. I fell asleep and became lucid on the first set of stairs I was so tired 😂 Super effective. Just need a better method to stay in the dream when things start going weird

    I tried the stair technique. It was working up to a point then stopped, and I'll tell you why. I started this laying on my back. You said you do the same but you don't know why. It's because laying on your back works, and this is where I started without thinking of this.
    I didn't visualize everytime walking up the stairs, but whenever the number 10 happened I did the reality check. This happened a for awhile, so I lengthened the count between reality checks. At times l have synchronized the breath and the counting while I have been cycling between seeing hypnagogia, anchored by the sound of the clock, and the feeling of the sensations around me. So I have been on the fence between waking and dreaming, but not quite there yet.
    Where I think the I made a bad decision was to shift positions from laying on my back to my side thinking that I would lucidly drift to dreamland. Not this time... The way I normally sleep on my side pins both arms, so being able to continue the reality checks was not possible, and it was at this point where the senses quickly faded and non-lucid sleep occurred.
    I will be trying this again next week so that I have time to record any dreams at length. It's difficult now since I have a full time job. Thank you for your time and patience in reading this, and thank you Giz for sharing this. I wish you, and anyone reading this, a wonderful day. Even in the midst of chaos, these troubling times we live in, may you be calm at heart. Like the eye of the storm... 😊

    That's how I was successful the first time but without the pinching nose method and the stairs were going down. Or you can feel being in an elevator. I did it after a WBTB, laid down on the back is necessary to create a small disconfort. It's necessary because it's going to help you to wake up as soon as you fall asleep. So i fell asleep for a sec a few times and after like 2 or 3 times i woke up in sleep paralysis, seeing and hearing things in my bed. Then i tried the rope technique and ended up in my childhood street like i wished for.

      @@hatchinghumor Alright it works amazingly, but not every time. I do not try to breathe through my nose or anything, I just gently wiggle my fingers while counting if i have more or less than 5 to tell if im in a dream. I did manage to get into a lucid dream, combining this with wake back to bed, but the dream didnt actually last too long, I think I got excited and woke up. I recommend trying this, and thanks for reminding me haha

    Hello Giz, I’m watching your videos every night before going to bed. I still haven’t mastered lucid dreaming but I have some lucid dreams once in a while, I did this while journaling and doing reality checks and I’m open to learning different techniques to becoming lucid. Honestly I started being interested in lucid dreaming around age 11 and your videos are always helpful and sometimes fun. But for some reason when I find out I’m Lucid in my dream and start flying , after a while everything turns black like not everything can spawn so quickly in my imagination

      yes in february i had 5-6 WILDs (which were my first ones) and i achieved some of them with this exact method kinda simulating in my mind the sensation of performing a reality test (nose pinch) and at some point when the dream was starting to come together in its form the movement of the arm suddenly felt real and the reality test worked so i found myself in the dream already lucid
