I tried this two nights ago and I had an extremely vivid false awakening. I jumped out of bed way too realistically, and then ran to the bathroom. I started peeing, and then felt a warm sensation on my legs, and that's when I woke up for real.... So Long story short, ssild is so vivid it'll make you piss yourself.

I did this just as I went to bed yesterday and... In the first dream I had, I became lucid, increased the lucidity to level 4 and started flying and throwing Kamehamehas at people at my school! It was so freaking fun! They were all screaming in agony and being thrown all over the place kinda like GTA 5 characters LEL!
I really like lucid dreaming, the other day I was sick as FUCK and then in the middle of the night, I was in the US in a Walmart kinda store (which is unusual because I live in Canada) and I suddenly became lucid in front of a big muscular black guy. Everything went from blurred to surreal. I just decided to start a fight with him and we fought like in the Matrix and DBZ, we were at equal strength and we were kicking each other into alleys of stuff and everything was just destroying as we rammed into them! I didn't even feel sick at all! At the end, we both talked and he told me that this was a good fight. I told him I was dreaming and that we wouldn't see each other anymore. He just responded "Really? I'm a dreamer too!" and we both talked to each other a little bit until we both woke up. There I was, in my bed, sick as hell again. Best experience of my life.
Funny thing is, I am actually a native French speaker, but I use English more often than French. Almost all of my dreams are in English and ALL my lucid dreams are in English, that's pretty cool! I don't really think that guy was actually a real dreamer, but who knows, it might be, after all, many people shared dreams! Maybe he even was the reason I became lucid in the first place!

Tip for SSILD - If you fall asleep easily start with three cycles eyes open then close your eyes continuing the cycles until you fall asleep.

Lucid dreaming has absolutely no effect on your waking life (except for doing reality checks and heightening awareness and all those other things) what I mean is lucid dreaming will only benefit you, it's for all ages, a four year old can do it, five six, seven, sixty-three. Any age, in fact lucid dreaming gives you benefits such as- More restful sleep, heightened ability to think clearly, less likely to experience nightmares, the list goes on... Those are the things that go without saying you can also- Remove silly fears from your life, practice important events while asleep like an audition or something leading to you being better at it, being more aware in your life, resulting in having an increased zest and love for life because you will be experiencing things much more clearly. And last but not least, you'll generally be a happier person in general, because you will be able to live out your fantasies whatever those may be, either way just know that lucid dreaming only does good, not harm. And all ages can participate.

Using that technique can help visualizing your desired manifestation because this exercise helps to train the key senses that allow you to experience your visualized desire or outcome and the feeling it results in as if you are experiencing it in the physical world as if it already exists.( law of attraction)

Hi giz! I don't remember how i found your channel i suppose i sort of stumbled upon it a while back, anyway I have been writing a Dream Journal for some time now and I have been able to lucid dream 3 times since, but more importantly I am able to recall my dreams, something I never have been able to enjoy previously. and if it hadn't been for you making your videos and me stumbling upon them some night when i was up all night youtubing, I never would have given it a second thought. My sleeping pattern has also improved ALLOT, witch I really needed. So anyway I just thought i should show my appreciation och say my thanks to you! Keep on going, I really enjoy your work.

I had actually never heard of this technique before and I'm trying it for the first time tonight (technically this morning) and I'm excited to see how it works. First time probably won't be the best, but we'll see. I had a question for you though. In my past, I've had a few lucid dreams, but they've been pretty useless. I've used FILD and MILD in the past, so I've always purposely gone into the ones I've had. The problem is that in my past dreams I've always just been kinda floating around and I've been on the verge of awakening the whole time. Usually I can't even open my eyes in the dream or my eyes in real life will spring open. I'm hoping that using this technique will help, but I guess I'll have an answer tomorrow. One more thing. Love the channel and I really enjoyed this video. Keep it coming!

This sounds very much like "getting more bang for your buck." usually, my dreams are hyper real, but I am rarely aware enough of where I am to do a reality check or whatever, I sort of just roll with it and wake up thinking "damnit! I didn't check again!" and that's really frustrating. so far though, my LD tally is well into the double digits, something like 25 or 30 since I started....nearly 2 years ago. But hey, this might actually be the technique i needed to really get going. Thanks Giz! Btw, I am following your Learn as I Learn tutorials too, and I'm really liking the fresh start. :)

The trick is having insomnia. You can induce this by never sleeping at the same time (within a range of 90 minutes) every day. Wierd things happen, including being coinciouss while entering a dream state as a positive (though this can be quite unsettling) but often as not sleeping paralysis.

This is exactly what I've been looking for. I have a pretty severe version of muscular dystrophy, and am unable to move almost at all. I can feel everything/I'm not paralyzed, I just have no muscle strength. As you can imagine, that makes several types of lucid dreaming techniques impossible for me.
Seeing as I'm not paralyzed, it's kind of ironic that I've recently been suffering from sleep paralysis. It's terrifying when you're not trying to get it to happen, so I figured I would try and make the best of it and venture into the world of lucid dreaming.
Are there any other techniques like this that don't involve any kind of movement? Preferably something that doesn't involve waking up again, as I don't really want to wake up my assistant just so I can have a lucid dream. Thanks!

+max010113 Ultimate solution: Verbally record your dreams. Have your phone (or any recording device) by your bedside. When you wake up, verbally describe your dream (and don't forget to record of course), then fall back asleep. Do a reality check before hand tho, as it may be a false awakening XD. That'd be funny just for you to record and then wake up again only to have it be a false awakening and have to do it all over again... lol.
I don't do this myself but I've heard that it helps a lot of people. No need to look at a bright light, no need to write in the dark. Verbally describing your dreams is MUCH easier and comes in a more concise form when I've tried to do it as well. Because I remember so much detail of my dream that even a shorter dream can easily take up multiple comments on RUclips (since they do have a limit, they just don't say they do. It's a high limit tho lol but I reached it a few times.. at least I think I did, since on one comment I kept trying to click "Post" and it kept giving me an error, not a specific one like your comment is too long since they apparently just don't want to admit they have a character limit, but I assumed within a few seconds that was it so I had to break it up lol :P It was a *very* detailed description of one of my false awakenings BTW lol. Fuck I can't beleive I didn't get lucid! ughhhhhhhhhh

Ok so last night i was just normal dreaming and stuff. So I was dreaming i was at school and stuff and i was watching your videos that night and i seen the one about pain. So every person in my dream realized you couldnt feel pain or anything and i was like oh cool. At this point i still didnt know if i was dreaming or not so someone was telling a teacher that we couldn't get hurt or anything and he looked at me and was like Jacob show him. We were all in my school gym and so i climbed up ontop of the first step on the bleachers and jumped off onto my arm and i didnt feel any pain. suddenly i realized that i was dreaming. I was like oh jeez im dreaming but then something happened. As soon as i realized i was dreaming everything started to rumble and i heard something that sounded like an earth quake. i was still dreaming but the rumbling wouldn't stop i was conscious in my dream and then the rumbling stopped when i opened my eyes and i sat up and i was like holy crap was that sleep paralysis i dont know if it was thoe because i could move when i woke up. this is the first time iv ever had a lucid dream but saddly it was only for a few seconds do to me panicking or something. could you tell me if it was sleep paralysis or not but this was just a weird dream experience fore me. The strange thing was is that i wasnt prepping myself to start lucid dreaming it just happend.

I know this comment is 5 years old, but someone like me who is trying to lucid dream like me might be wondering the same thing. I’ve never had a lucid dream, and last night was my first try. I set an alarm for 5:00 am, there’s more videos with advice on that. Btw last night the method I tried was fild, and it did not work. I did have a dream though. I know I should probably try a method for more then one night, so I’ll try this method for a while.

@@yunarc6098 5 years later and I’m still here 🤣 I figured it out over all this time. You can either set an alarm or try to wake up naturally but the key is to remain completely relaxed and while your body falls asleep your mind stays conscious. The only thing about setting an alarm is you have to move to turn it off which makes you less relaxed. Cheers

  • @annab1633
    @annab1633 9 лет назад

I woke up early today, did some things and I went back to bed. I had a lucid dream and last night I had one too but I don't think I can call these like that. I became lucid in a dream inside another. When I wake up(in the first dream) I don't even mind doing a reality check because I'm sure it's real life. When I realized I was dreaming(in the second dream) it felt like I knew it all the time. It's like I am dreaming about having a lucid dream not really having one. What am I doing wrong?
I'm having problems controlling it too which I didn't before. Today's dream I tried to change things and I couldn't so I got really scared about being trapped in the dream forever. It became almost a nightmare but I could wake up myself.

do all of these techniques to Lucid Dream have to mess up your sleep cycle? like seriously....

Nope ^_^ Lucid dreaming doesn't make you restless, as you're not actually moving and all that, you're just kind of making it up and experiencing it. You still get meaningful rest even if you're flying around.

***** thats why you set tour alarm clock 4-5 hours after you went to bed. The first couple of hours we are in deep sleep, then the REM sleep starts, its not that hard and i haven't had any problem with waking up.

Fxbian Downgrade your version then, just press esc, refresh, and power button, once you did that, you will see an error. Don't worry, all you have to do is press ctrl+d and enter to enable developer mode. Note that it will erase all of your memory, so make sure you backed it up to a usb drive or google drive, now every time you wake up from your sleep, you will see a scary screen that says is verification is off, don't worry about it and just wait 30 seconds then it will boot like normal, now, when you wake up, just press ctrl+alt+t, when you did that it will open the terminal, now from there type "shell" and press enter. Now what you will do is type "downgrade 12.5.00" and press enter, it will now install and your brain will reboot. It will still have the so verification is off thing, to get rid of the screen just press space then press enter. It will erase your memory. And from there you can try SSILD again and it will work.
