    The person who designed this drawer was probably a relative of some very important person in Indesit corp because he is obviously unqualified for product design.

      Ye it could be invented as some small rotating blockade or something like that but no there is need for doing total disaster from my loundry machine and whole batroom after taking out this stupid drawer.

    So useful, thanks! I jiggled mine a bit, but nothing happened, so I left it. What a poor design to have to pull it so hard 🤷‍♂ I don't think manufacturers have a clue about writing instructions, for anything🙄 I worked for many years for a major IT manufacturer, Hewlett Packard, they were the same, our customers struggled all the time, it never changed. I'll have to subscribe for more tips 👍

    • @drmousette

      It's a terrible design. I think the people who write them often don't do it through the eyes of someone who is using the machine for the first time and has no clue about its mechanisms. Thank you for subscribing!

    After a few years the plastic drawer can become more brittle and susceptible to breaking so I always gently heat the drawer with a hairdryer to make it more pliable to remove.

    • @drmousette
      @drmousette  Год назад

      Yes, it is true that plastic can degrade over the years and the application of heat is a great way to get back some malleability because it breaks down the van der Waals molecular forces. Or so I'm told ;-)
