These videos never ever ceases to amaze me. The smile on my face gradually gets bigger as I'm watching and floss's hype levels increase. Especially as he's going through each EQ setting. I was genuinely waiting for this video. I was wondering if I should upgrade my M4s and go with the M5s. So far, it's looking like I'm about to make the jump. I love the quality that goes into the videos that flossy produces. No one can replicate. Shout out to White Shoes as well for always being on deck to make sure the products are tested for quality 👌🏽 The videos wouldn't be the same without her. Great job as always! 👏🏽
@@spdracr420 not to my ears, it definitely feels fuller and cleaner. In comparison the XM4 feel muddy to me. ANC I AB tested them with lots of background noise and I could feel the difference, especially with wind and cars.

I LITERALLY just did this yesterday while looking for new headphones. I was in love soon as I put them on. I felt like I was in the store ALONE. The Quick Attention feature was DOPE. I couldn't push myself to spend the money when the Beats Studio Pro was on sale 😢.

Mine arrived on Sunday...excellent noise canceling and the audio is great. Call quality is no joke...makes loud backgrounds quiet for the person you talking to..very comfortable too.

Been rocking my Sony WH-1000XM3’s ever since Carter did his reviews on them a few years back. I’ve worn them on planes, on tractors, in skid steers, in vehicles. They’ve been covered in dust and dirt and felt -50c and yet they’ve never skipped a beat. The battery is absolutely fantastic, they usually last me 2 weeks between charges with being used for on average an hour a day, the sound quality is still second to none, and the comfort hasn’t diminished whatsoever. Sony brings it to the table when it comes to wireless headphones and earbuds and I’m so thankful to have someone like Carter on RUclips to point consumers in the right direction. Thank you for making the most of our money

I got Crusher ANC watching your review and comparison with XM4 2-3 years ago somewhere in 2019-20. One pair failed after 6 months for no reason, they are super fragile, zero abuse I did to them, anyway got replacement for it, now it's 2022 and time for the XM5 instead of the AirPods Max, I already have two AirPods, OG AirPods and AirPods Pro. I don't need another Apple product, so for the first time, a Sony product. Watching your review made me more confident even though you picked AirPods Max for the sound quality, haha I really really want this headphone now, custom eq good enough for me. (I love watching your reviews. I bought you the super thanks, know it's little to no amount but I wanted to show you some appreciation. Also love those M5, both, e60 and f80, dream car, I'm still at college, will reach there one day, getting that 2018 M5 Comp soon and either a 911 GT3 or Turbo S. Thanks man for this video.
The Sony headset I had stopped working after a year. The speaker sound would go in and out no matter what I plugged It Into. I sleep, eat, walk, talk, make music and calls with my headsets. lol..the quality of the build holds up with me. which is shocking to me and friends. now this version flossy is talking about must be a upgraded version..I like it. The quality..like with the type of metal ... And plastics and foam...I like it. I'm into the hardware first so I needed the sound reviews. Thanks Mr.flossy.
Love your vids flossy, especially the ending where you do the rankings. always makes it easy for me to know where they compare. My only gripe with the XM5s is that they dont collapse/fold like the XM4......If they made XM5 with the collapsibility of the XM4 it would have been perfect
Sony M5 is the truth. To think I though no one was taking down the apple max but boy was I wrong. The M5 is insanely good. Awesome video Flossy you never disappoint

The only complaint I had of these were the cheap quality for the cushion. I bought a bass boosted headset a couple years ago from sony and the cushion on those felt so much betterm nice and firm and felt good even after a year of constant use
I use it for drumming. The anc is that good. I still have issues when i wear glasses tho. I dont get a great seal. The headphones r super comfy and the audio quality is decent enough. Great headphones
these are the first wireless headphones ive ever purchased and honestly i dont have a bad thing to say about it. i can definitely see how people are upset about them not being able to fold, especially since theyre for travel. most of the time, i usually wear them around my head or have a lot of space prepared to fit them in my bag anyway. ive been truly wearing them almost all day, everyday, since i got them and theyre v comfortable. after messing with the eq settings theyre great sounding as well. the app is great, everything is great. ambient sound isnt the best but it does its job enough for me, personally. i got the white ones and dont really notice any fingerprints either and theyre so light to wear its v nice. i dont think anyone would be upset if they purchase these but the M4s seem just as great, especially at their pricepoint right now.
Try the Air Pod Pro’s. The noise cancellation is so much better. I own the pods and Xm-5. It’s not even close. Xm-5’s are nice, but like 69% of the noise cancellation. Apple AirPods is more like 98%. I like the Sony, but these weren’t worth $400.
yeah lmaoo. ive been using them literally everyday now and even had a flight where i used them. definitely a good purchase that i dont regret. idk if airpod pros are the way to go in terms of anc … the battery life on the sonys are also literally a life saver- i barely charge them and they last for so long. trust me, i use them for 6+ hours daily with studying, gaming, etc. the only part to be weary about is the headband part because its pretty thin, in terms of width, so the concentration point doesnt span out like a wider one would, if that makes sense. therefore it took some getting used to.

Tried XM5's for two days and returned them, went back to XM4. New ones have auto NC optimizer which still hasn't been fixed. XM4 the best headphones because you choose how much NC you want and it stays like that. XM5's not recommended!
Got them last week. Fantastic pair of headphones! After my xm4 fell into the pool (rip). Noise cancelling is even better than the xm4 and especially my voice on the other side of the phone is waaaay better. Also sound quality is pretty much as good as the xm4 if not better. Yes they have smaller drivers but they are more efficient. Also the box is compostable

I watched this video before when you reviewed these headphones. But I had to watch it again when I got mine a few days ago because damn... the noise cancellation in these is really "GET ROBBED TIER"! Unbelievable noise cancellation. And the audio experience is really good too.
Just picked these up yesterday! They are so much lighter and more comfortable than my XM4s and they sound better too. The bass is more dynamic and clear.

Sony stated these are not a complete replacement for the XM4, while they are better the 4 is better for traveling for me I'm upgrading to the 5s since I do not travel alot. Sony is going to continue making the xm4 and xm5 side by side
That ability to fold is a miss. I can stick the XM2, XM3 and XM4 carry cases in my work backpack. The XM5 case is the size of a mini-backpack or woman's purse and take up too much room in my backpack. Also I would like to see Sony shorten the name.

I remember few years ago I bought the M3s because i had only just watched Floss' video only for the M4s announcement to be drop the following week (wish i was part of the notification squad at the time.) I still have and use the M3s and probably will till like the M8s release and they get Flossy's approval. Till then keep up the great videos and always keeping it real.
Been waiting on this one. Even though I already have them lol. As of this moment these have replaced my Airpods Max. I can deal with the transparency mode slight trade off. But these beat out on every other aspect IMHO.

I really love the Airpods max ..but I had to sell it ..after about 45mins to an hour my neck is always stressed out and jaw line ..the ear always feels good tho...but you can love the headphone all you want but if you not comfortable you always wanna take it off and rest ....it seems the Sony XM5 is the way to go right now

Barely any difference between the two. Noise canceling and sound quality is pretty much the same with both headphones.

What's funny is me and a coworker of about 6 years were talking about wireless earbuds and I told him about the soundpeats that you posted a few weeks ago for around 20 bucks. Tried XM5's for two days and returned them, went back to XM4. New ones have auto NC optimizer which still hasn't been fixed. XM4 the best headphones because you choose how much NC you want and it stays like that. XM5's not recommended!

Got them last week. Fantastic pair of headphones! After my xm4 fell into the pool (rip). Noise cancelling is even better than the xm4 and especially my voice on the other side of the phone is waaaay better. Also sound quality is pretty much as good as the xm4 if not better. Yes they have smaller drivers but they are more efficient. Also the box is compostable

I watched this video before when you reviewed these headphones. But I had to watch it again when I got mine a few days ago because damn... the noise cancellation in these is really "GET ROBBED TIER"! Unbelievable noise cancellation. And the audio experience is really good too.

Just picked these up yesterday! They are so much lighter and more comfortable than my XM4s and they sound better too. The bass is more dynamic and clear.
They are 4 grams lighter.

Always watch floss videos to buy my techs. Real and entertaining, some other RUclipsrs are good but boring af. Can actually watch from start to finish. I'll be picking up mx5 soon.

Sony stated these are not a complete replacement for the XM4, while they are better the 4 is better for traveling for me I'm upgrading to the 5s since I do not travel alot. Sony is going to continue making the xm4 and xm5 side by side
Hoping they realized the mistake. This Is a deal breaker for me.
That ability to fold is a miss. I can stick the XM2, XM3 and XM4 carry cases in my work backpack. The XM5 case is the size of a mini-backpack or woman's purse and take up too much room in my backpack. Also I would like to see Sony shorten the name.

I remember few years ago I bought the M3s because i had only just watched Floss' video only for the M4s announcement to be drop the following week (wish i was part of the notification squad at the time.) I still have and use the M3s and probably will till like the M8s release and they get Flossy's approval. Till then keep up the great videos and always keeping it real.

Been waiting on this one. Even though I already have them lol. As of this moment these have replaced my Airpods Max. I can deal with the transparency mode slight trade off. But these beat out on every other aspect IMHO.

I really love the Airpods max ..but I had to sell it ..after about 45mins to an hour my neck is always stressed out and jaw line ..the ear always feels good tho...but you can love the headphone all you want but if you not comfortable you always wanna take it off and rest ....it seems the Sony XM5 is the way to go right now

@@defnotatroll it weighs approx. 385grams ...and for something you intend to wear for several hours for media consumption , music and travel ..that is alot of weight ... At least in my own experience .
I brought them right now because of this review, thank you, I was this close to getting the XM4s to be honest. I need the call quality to be 👌 so far I love them, you’re so right they feel insanely light and comfortable
