These videos never ever ceases to amaze me. The smile on my face gradually gets bigger as I'm watching and floss's hype levels increase. Especially as he's going through each EQ setting. I was genuinely waiting for this video. I was wondering if I should upgrade my M4s and go with the M5s. So far, it's looking like I'm about to make the jump. I love the quality that goes into the videos that flossy produces. No one can replicate. Shout out to White Shoes as well for always being on deck to make sure the products are tested for quality 👌🏽 The videos wouldn't be the same without her. Great job as always! 👏🏽
@@spdracr420 not to my ears, it definitely feels fuller and cleaner. In comparison the XM4 feel muddy to me. ANC I AB tested them with lots of background noise and I could feel the difference, especially with wind and cars.

I LITERALLY just did this yesterday while looking for new headphones. I was in love soon as I put them on. I felt like I was in the store ALONE. The Quick Attention feature was DOPE. I couldn't push myself to spend the money when the Beats Studio Pro was on sale 😢.

I have always bought bose and have enjoyed them. However I recently purchased the Sony M4 in ear headphones, and man, I was blown away! I currently own the QC 35 II and QC 45. Definitely considering purchasing these bad boys. Very tempted. Awesome review.

Mine arrived on Sunday...excellent noise canceling and the audio is great. Call quality is no joke...makes loud backgrounds quiet for the person you talking to..very comfortable too.

Been rocking my Sony WH-1000XM3’s ever since Carter did his reviews on them a few years back. I’ve worn them on planes, on tractors, in skid steers, in vehicles. They’ve been covered in dust and dirt and felt -50c and yet they’ve never skipped a beat. The battery is absolutely fantastic, they usually last me 2 weeks between charges with being used for on average an hour a day, the sound quality is still second to none, and the comfort hasn’t diminished whatsoever. Sony brings it to the table when it comes to wireless headphones and earbuds and I’m so thankful to have someone like Carter on RUclips to point consumers in the right direction. Thank you for making the most of our money
these are the first wireless headphones ive ever purchased and honestly i dont have a bad thing to say about it. i can definitely see how people are upset about them not being able to fold, especially since theyre for travel. most of the time, i usually wear them around my head or have a lot of space prepared to fit them in my bag anyway. ive been truly wearing them almost all day, everyday, since i got them and theyre v comfortable. after messing with the eq settings theyre great sounding as well. the app is great, everything is great. ambient sound isnt the best but it does its job enough for me, personally. i got the white ones and dont really notice any fingerprints either and theyre so light to wear its v nice. i dont think anyone would be upset if they purchase these but the M4s seem just as great, especially at their pricepoint right now.
Try the Air Pod Pro’s. The noise cancellation is so much better. I own the pods and Xm-5. It’s not even close. Xm-5’s are nice, but like 69% of the noise cancellation. Apple AirPods is more like 98%. I like the Sony, but these weren’t worth $400.
yeah lmaoo. ive been using them literally everyday now and even had a flight where i used them. definitely a good purchase that i dont regret. idk if airpod pros are the way to go in terms of anc … the battery life on the sonys are also literally a life saver- i barely charge them and they last for so long. trust me, i use them for 6+ hours daily with studying, gaming, etc. the only part to be weary about is the headband part because its pretty thin, in terms of width, so the concentration point doesnt span out like a wider one would, if that makes sense. therefore it took some getting used to.

The only complaint I had of these were the cheap quality for the cushion. I bought a bass boosted headset a couple years ago from sony and the cushion on those felt so much betterm nice and firm and felt good even after a year of constant use
Just picked these up yesterday! They are so much lighter and more comfortable than my XM4s and they sound better too. The bass is more dynamic and clear.
I use it for drumming. The anc is that good. I still have issues when i wear glasses tho. I dont get a great seal. The headphones r super comfy and the audio quality is decent enough. Great headphones

Got them last week. Fantastic pair of headphones! After my xm4 fell into the pool (rip). Noise cancelling is even better than the xm4 and especially my voice on the other side of the phone is waaaay better. Also sound quality is pretty much as good as the xm4 if not better. Yes they have smaller drivers but they are more efficient. Also the box is compostable

Sony stated these are not a complete replacement for the XM4, while they are better the 4 is better for traveling for me I'm upgrading to the 5s since I do not travel alot. Sony is going to continue making the xm4 and xm5 side by side
That ability to fold is a miss. I can stick the XM2, XM3 and XM4 carry cases in my work backpack. The XM5 case is the size of a mini-backpack or woman's purse and take up too much room in my backpack. Also I would like to see Sony shorten the name.

Been waiting on this one. Even though I already have them lol. As of this moment these have replaced my Airpods Max. I can deal with the transparency mode slight trade off. But these beat out on every other aspect IMHO.
Tried XM5's for two days and returned them, went back to XM4. New ones have auto NC optimizer which still hasn't been fixed. XM4 the best headphones because you choose how much NC you want and it stays like that. XM5's not recommended!

I really love the Airpods max ..but I had to sell it ..after about 45mins to an hour my neck is always stressed out and jaw line ..the ear always feels good tho...but you can love the headphone all you want but if you not comfortable you always wanna take it off and rest ....it seems the Sony XM5 is the way to go right now

I have the Sony XM4 and they are painful, I might trade them in for these if they are comfortable. However, the Bose QC 45 are the best I've ever owned and the only headphones I have ever bought I can wear for 12 hours straight. I'm surprised floss you prolonged the review for the Bose QC 45. They are phenomenal!
What do you find uncomfortable about them? I ask because the XM5s are extremely comfortable for me except for how my ears rest against the drivers. Hasn't been as bad as I've had in other headphones I've had to return before, but the ear cups on my Jabra 85H were deeper.
This was a damn good video start to finish. Honestly I was surprised how high you ranked the M5s and how you forgot a pair of 400$ B&0 headphones for 3 years 😭 You helped me made 2 headphone purchases so far. Samsung Level Over and the Momentum 3s. As far as comfortably,futures and sound quality I hope the M5 don't let me down when I get them🙌
Always watch floss videos to buy my techs. Real and entertaining, some other RUclipsrs are good but boring af. Can actually watch from start to finish. I'll be picking up mx5 soon.
Another killer video. I got the Bang and Olufsen HXs last year as a replacement for my Sennheisers. The B&Os are beautiful and sound fantastic, although ANC is below God-tier. They would probably slip into your top five somewhere!
After much doubt I decided to upgrade to these from the Bose QC35 2. Mostly had doubts because of the price and because they don’t fold. But, I’ve had them for 3 days now and they’re absolutely worth it. The upgrade from the ones I’ve had is huge, and when in their case, the Bose one is only slightly better. The comfort, sound and ANC are exquisite and they look pretty slick. And, the Bose NC had a noticeable pressure and sometimes gave me a headache. The mx5 doesn’t have that.

Barely any difference between the two. Noise canceling and sound quality is pretty much the same with both headphones.

That ability to fold is a miss. I can stick the XM2, XM3 and XM4 carry cases in my work backpack. The XM5 case is the size of a mini-backpack or woman's purse and take up too much room in my backpack. Also I would like to see Sony shorten the name.

I normally wait for a deal before I buy new headphones, I already had the XM4’s. I preordered these and glad I did, I manly bought these for the better fit on my big ears 👂. Wow! Better than I was expecting, NC, fit and phone call clarity are incredible.
I love how excited Flossy gets with his headphones😅😅, makes one a believer I must say.
Sony is just great. They make great TVs, sound bars, headphones, earbuds, phones, etc. And I love PlayStation too.

Been waiting on this one. Even though I already have them lol. As of this moment these have replaced my Airpods Max. I can deal with the transparency mode slight trade off. But these beat out on every other aspect IMHO.
I like the design of these, but I'm happy with my XM4s in that retro PS1 grey colour.
Tried XM5's for two days and returned them, went back to XM4. New ones have auto NC optimizer which still hasn't been fixed. XM4 the best headphones because you choose how much NC you want and it stays like that. XM5's not recommended!
I prefer the reviews from floss. I think that he is the most honest and relatable with people.

I really love the Airpods max ..but I had to sell it ..after about 45mins to an hour my neck is always stressed out and jaw line ..the ear always feels good tho...but you can love the headphone all you want but if you not comfortable you always wanna take it off and rest ....it seems the Sony XM5 is the way to go right now

Got my M4s over a year ago based on your review Floss and I'm not gonna upgrade for a while, no major upgrades imo more like downgrade with no folding lol. Still waited for the review of M5s tho, u the man Floss 👏
How is your call quality?
I have the Sony XM4 and they are painful, I might trade them in for these if they are comfortable. However, the Bose QC 45 are the best I've ever owned and the only headphones I have ever bought I can wear for 12 hours straight. I'm surprised floss you prolonged the review for the Bose QC 45. They are phenomenal!
What do you find uncomfortable about them? I ask because the XM5s are extremely comfortable for me except for how my ears rest against the drivers. Hasn't been as bad as I've had in other headphones I've had to return before, but the ear cups on my Jabra 85H were deeper.

This was a damn good video start to finish. Honestly I was surprised how high you ranked the M5s and how you forgot a pair of 400$ B&0 headphones for 3 years 😭 You helped me made 2 headphone purchases so far. Samsung Level Over and the Momentum 3s. As far as comfortably,futures and sound quality I hope the M5 don't let me down when I get them🙌

Another killer video. I got the Bang and Olufsen HXs last year as a replacement for my Sennheisers. The B&Os are beautiful and sound fantastic, although ANC is below God-tier. They would probably slip into your top five somewhere!
After much doubt I decided to upgrade to these from the Bose QC35 2. Mostly had doubts because of the price and because they don’t fold. But, I’ve had them for 3 days now and they’re absolutely worth it. The upgrade from the ones I’ve had is huge, and when in their case, the Bose one is only slightly better. The comfort, sound and ANC are exquisite and they look pretty slick. And, the Bose NC had a noticeable pressure and sometimes gave me a headache. The mx5 doesn’t have that.
10 mins of charge for 5 hours playtime is pretty sick tbh. Shoes comes in the box? 😮😮😮
Can also get 3 hours charge from 3 mins. Crazy!
