Honestly, for me personally, this movie talks about what we live in today's world, such as, the Druuns are exactly the same demons that we invoke or simply awaken, the disunity, the lack of faith, that if there is a second chance to everyone but that happens when they regret what they did, like Namaari for example. Well, unfortunately, everyone judges her horribly, criticizes her and even makes fun of this movie, even knowing that not even we are worthy of setting a good example. Let me even tell you that Raya is a great example to follow and is much better than the others. Other previous princesses, who are boring and disastrous, the current ones like boring of Mirabel and the mediocre one Asha is as well. To tell the truth, this movie made quite a few references in video games and some anime, not like the inconsistencies that say that it is a plagiarism of the boring animated series of Avatar, the movie of the last unicorn, however, I see it as a reference. It has quite a few references from an anime series called Saint Seiya. But anyway, no one is interested and they prefer to live in human ignorance, what's more, if you didn't like the movie, don't criticize it, what's more, don't even comment and reserve your inappropriate comments, what's more, don't compare it again, I repeat with the other classic movies or the ones from now like the boring ones from Disney now too, as an example Encanto or Wish, because those two along with the others that they are releasing now also no matter how much they have good songs, animation or story, however, they never They will no longer be a total plagiarism just as the majority called out this beautiful film of Raya and the Last Dragon. I really love that Raya and Sisu's arcs come to a neat intersection, once. Sisu can reconnect with the magic of her eldest sibling who she looks up to the most, feeling Pengu's presence and we finally see Raya visiting her father (it is unknown if this is the first time she has returned here since the trauma of being separated from him), who is obviously still under the Druun sleep spell. The group regaining more of the gem pieces and recruiting their new comrades, forging new connections, is the opposite of more and more people in the world falling under the stone sleep spell. One current runs against the flow of the other as the plot gets closer to the final confrontation. Like..apparently most people who resonated with this movie when it was released could do so because the world was going through collective grief thanks to Covid. But I hardly resonated with that, being fine with much alone time at home during those months. That's why during my first viewing it was more "Aww, that's poignant. Cool symbolism". My thoughts are too incoherent for a longer neater meta right now but the film hits me differently now because I see the stone statues as representing proper graves.
Chen: Master, the gem killed the Druun. Quynh: Damn. Chen: Master, what shall we do? What about us, master? Quynh: As for you, Chen and Cho, I hereby solemnly appoint you two commanders of the Druun Empire. Chen: Oh, thank you, master. That's nice. You wouldn't have a place right on that royal chair of yours, would you? Quynh: The commanders never desert their post. Chen: Master, get us...
Namaari: Raya, listen. I'm sorry for everything. I was so worried how to be Kumandra once again that I kind of forgot how to be a good daughter of my mother's. I understand if you don't want to... Raya: (hugs Namaari) I'm sorry too, dep la. It's okay. I forgive you.
What's weird is that it clearaly showed that when you are turned into stone they also seem to take out your sould or something resembeling it. But when the turn back to normal it never showed their "soul" coming back. Are they all gingers now?
Well, technically said, with a first waves of light, the Druun vanishes, and all those souls which it stole for itself, are turn into an energy, that eventually cause a rain, which turns everyone back to life. The same essence, which repels the Druun. Water, whose give life, and every living thing is made from it, and for what the dragons ("NOT THE JESUS! Seriously, stop put him into everything. This is not story about him, thats why we've The Bible. So STOP it!"), which they brought humans a water in this story, were praised and worshipped. Sometimes is the best thing to watch the whole movie and don't make an assumptions out of context.
I have no doubt that one is quite stupid. It is obvious that it is not God, however, what this beautiful film shows us is the faith that we can have in our Father God but interpreting him differently in a cartoon.

0:23 When the dragon gem activates
Chen: Master, the gem killed the Druun.
Quynh: Damn.
Chen: Master, what shall we do? What about us, master?
Quynh: As for you, Chen and Cho, I hereby solemnly appoint you two commanders of the Druun Empire.
Chen: Oh, thank you, master. That's nice. You wouldn't have a place right on that royal chair of yours, would you?
Quynh: The commanders never desert their post.
Chen: Master, get us...
I wish the activation alone revived everyone.

I understand you and that's why I give you a like, but for being a first-class Neanderthal.
It's not Jesus, it's dragon magic
It literally represents faith and trust and that only one person can bring the rain and wash our sins, JESUS 🦋🌅
