- Proposed policy 3281 related to LGBTQ+ issues was on the agenda for discussion and hundreds of people showed up. The proposal related to gender identity and sexual orientation and how the district could make children feel more comfortable in school by adopting policies that allowed them to use bathrooms and locker rooms of their choice and be addressed by their preferred pronouns.

Does anyone find it alarming how this is happening with school boards everywhere?
Yes but it's to be expected if you're familiar with UN agenda 21/30. It's not a conspiracy theory - this is real and concrete.
In those documents you will find that their goal is to hyper focus efforts in smaller localized government bodies like school boards, county and city committees vs. a top down strategy.
Installing their preferred local personnel affects everything from voting, schools, roads, easements, housing and communities at large. It's an inside out type of move.
This approach allowed them to do this under our noses.
Now we're dealing with crazy woke madness in ALL schools and local governments across the country.
It's extremely scary and I'm afraid they've won.

Isn’t Idaho the very conservative state that had to be shamed into changing the statute of limitation‘s for sexually assaulting a child from five years to 50 years? And you may think that was just some peculiar law and they didn’t want to change it because that’s how it always has been, but the statute of limitation’s for sexually assaulting an adult woman was 50 years, but a child was five years. And that’s after there was several religious related sexual assault of children. They did not want to change the statute of limitation’s even after that. They had to be shamed into doing it. 🤔

@Lucy that is factually incorrect. Students, on average, spend around 15% - 18% of their time in school. Assuming 7-8 hours a day (1/3 of a day), 180 days a year (less than 1/2 the year). Kids will spend more time in their parents' care than in the school. Even quick and lazy 'napkin math' that shows (1/3)×(1/2) = (1/6) ~17%. No way students spend more time at school

I'm a second-grade teacher in California. Our school now has tampon dispensers in the PRIMARY (Kinder-3rd) BOYS'!!! bathroom. This is insanity.
What is the purpose? They're just going to end up on the floor or will be used to clog toilets. I know nothing about children (not a fan) and understand some are developing unnaturally early now but isn't 3rd grade age _exceptionally_ young? Thought it was middle-school territory.

We must start passing laws that require anyone sitting on a school board to have at least one child actively in that school district. This entire board needs to be disbanded and a new board put in place ASAP.
I live in a small. We England town, and we have two 40-something, childless men on the school board. They are both progressives. The rest of the school board is filled with old liberals who are empty-nesters.

That’s actually not accurate. There was over 1000 people there and a ton of people wanted to speak. The board capped it at 85 and gave 1 hour total for input. Had the meeting went on they would have shown the amount of Caldwell parents.
65% of Caldwell students are Latinos. Did the crowd represent that? Lol nope. The streets were lined with 1A plates. Get out of our town.

I have been a teacher for over 10 years. What I am about to write is 100% true. I could write 10 pages on this, but I'll keep it brief.
School Boards never want to hear complaints from the public. They don't care, and look at the public as a hurdle they need to get over in order to make their jobs easier.
Public school systems are outdated, antiquated, and incomplete in many areas. That is why you are seeing similar meetings like this all across the country. The problem is not always the individual school's fault. The issues lie in how public schools are run.

I don’t understand why this is even a big issue here. In other countries boys/girls and men/women always have the same bathrooms and changing rooms. Yes, they get undressed and dressed in front of one another. Big whoop. And you know what’s funny is that these countries actually have much lower rates of sexual assault than the U.S. What’s that tell you? Oh that’s right-it tells you that separating bathrooms really doesn’t do anything to “protect their safety”. Separating adult bathrooms from children’s bathrooms yes, but boys/girls? It’s just kind of ridiculous to me how upset people get over boys/girls using the same bathroom in the U.S.

Could look into "Home School Collectives", sometimes known as "Pods", where several parents with similar aged kids will rotate teaching duties. It has the socialisation benefits from school, allows parents to not worry about taking too much time off work, and sometimes you have parents who can specialize (a person who has a language background can teach English, a person who is an engineer could teach math and science).
@@AtrusOranis That is a great option, but it’s also worth considering that just about every parent has gone through the public schools. We have already learned what they are supposed to teach, so we should be able to teach our own children. Additionally, most parents have education beyond k-12 and/or real life work experience. Homeschooling doesn’t have to take hours a day - why would it? We don’t have bells, settling into classes, behaviors to correct in multiple students, between class travel time, etc. Most parents can successfully home school in just 2-3 hours a day. I live in an area where learning pods and homeschool groups are few and far between, so they aren’t an option. But my kiddos are engaged in multiple community activities (library programs, Bible camp, sports, sports, sports) and have plenty of socialization, without the chance be be subjected to the behaviors of children raised in... less respectful homes. (A harsh reality. M6 husband was raised in such a home and he is humiliated thinking of how his mother normalized such disrespectful conduct... he had to willfully unlearn behaviors as an adult).

The constitution also says there will be separation between Church and State. It is not the State that should have anything to do with morals and religion. They are there to teach other subjects.
No school age "CHILD" should be able to sway this kind of decision in any public forum, tat is an adults place. The government says they are not old enough to vote, drink, smoke as their mind is not mature enough to make those type of decisions. But when a group of adults want to force their morals and beliefs on others they then say kids are mature enough!

I was a school custodian for many years and part of my job was to set up the district school board meeting room and cleaning up after as a custodian I was pretty much invisible to the board members honestly I could be standing right next to them if they where talking to someone they wouldn’t even look in my direction I have heard them talk about parents to each other with such distain and out and out hatred it was amazing but as soon as the meetings started they would act like they cared about how the parents felt it was disgusting to observe as a hole school board members don’t give a furry rats azz about how parents think or care about there Children’s education it was all about their personal standing with other board members
A lot of them are pretty stupid. Half of them are divorced. Most of them are terrible parents. Hateful, judgmental sobs. I honestly don't give a sh*t what they say if they can't conduct themselves like adults. And to be honest, good for the board for not rewarding that petulant behavior from a bunch of children. I'm surprised you'd want to listen to that sh*t.
Simple Solution - Replace all 'multiple- occupancy' restrooms with many 'single-occupany' restrooms. All restrooms ( and changing rooms and showers ) should have the highest level of privacy and safety provided...for every individual. Also, single occupancy restrooms ( and single-occupancy changing rooms/ showers ) should have been the standard in the construction of schools before the first school was opened many decades ago.
If the schools won't obey the parents. Then the parents should end the schools.
If that were to happen up in North Idaho our sherrif would stand with the crowd not the board members! That board needs to be gone!
How these people are skirting the requirements to be eligible to be on the board and what they are required to do is shocking. Take them all off the board.

The senator is a veteran as well, he was on another board and had the same types shutting him down. We need strong people with integrity.
The utmost scary scenario is when a woman is seated in a bathroom stall and notices a pair of men's shoes stopping in front of her locked door. It should never have been implemented as a solution that a transgender has a choice and others must abide by.

The school board members are too full of themselves, high on power. If they can't handle their constituents talking to them then they need to resign their positions. This is ridiculous. We as parents have a right to speak up for our children

Granted I wasn't at this particular meeting so perhaps I missed something more egregious you are referring to; but simply calling out hypocrisy or wrongdoing on the part of the public servants is not disrespectful in and of itself.
@@doloreschansey9556 Dolores. The senator was actually being polite, she was ignoring him during his time. It's her job to sit there and listen, yet she wasn't paying attention. So he acted like a teacher scolding a child when she wasn't paying attention, he was polite but firm. She didn't like that and shut everything down the moment he called her out personally for not paying attention. Funny how she probably loves doing this to kids, but when it was done to her she's suddenly full chimp mode.

You know, I can't help but notice that the senator stated it was LEGAL law that the public have a say, yet not a single parent was able to speak their mind. I'm not saying that those board members need to be held accountable for breaking state law, but there's no evidence to counter that fact.
