This is the alternative demo of the Oasis song "Cloudburst". Recored at the Real People's studio at Dock Road, Liverpool in Spring 1993 along with about a dozen other tracks for the "Live Demonstration Tape" but only six were used along with a different version of "Cloudburst". The song would later go on to be re-recorded and used as a B-side on the single "Live Forever" (1994) but would not feature on the B-side compilation "The Masterplan" (1998).
Lyrics:
Wake up ! There's a new day dawning
I think I'll take a little walk for a while
I need shades 'cause the sun is blinding
And I can see for miles and miles
Then I can feel the earth beneath me
I lie down we are as one
And they look but they cannot find me
I'm off heading for the sun
I'm getting colder
I feel a chill the air
There's a change in the weather
Here it comes again
Now I can feel the rain
The wind that brings on the change
Is taking me over - Видеоклипы
Love the early sound
Nice addition to the collection thanks for the post.
don't know why it got out of Definitely Maybe.
It was on the Japanese version
Also the B-Side to "Live Forever"
Because it was a blatant rip off of the Stone Roses standing here I believe
@@evanphillips570 It sounds more like Cigarettes and Alcohol.
Sounds damn good, i like how ita different from the version released later. Its these kinda sounds that inspires upcoming bands not over produced shit nowadays.
Liam’s voice is outstanding
Ah I liked the drum sound, it somehow fitted the groovy beat here
:DD but the whiny Liam's double tracking is something gets me while to get used to
What don't 90's music fans understand? It's the shitty and cheap sound that makes the music appealing. In Oasis's case, they started with crappy guitars, which gave them a cheap sound, which the band developed with. The awful drumming fit with the music, and it sounded great. When Tony McCarroll left, Oasis didnt have the same sound, however it was still a fantastic sound. After both Guigsy and Bonehead left, the band was completely changed.
It's because they sound raw, like a rough diamond, as though you are listening to them play in their garage. It sticks two fingers up to all the manicured music of today
Brilliant description
It was always because of Noel's ego. Tony's rough punk drumming, heavy bar chords, with Noel's chord changes was top. That's the chemistry, taking imperfect players, but together it's perfect. Now Noel is making music out in la-la land. His first HFB album was good, I give him that. But Liam's team has the better song writing right now.
While oasis is the sum of its parts, the absolute saving grace is noel's songwriting - the extremely strong melodies and chord progressions, every heavy song still sounds great on acoustic
Also, noel and bonehead both had massive orange/marshall cabinets, which when played with their mid priced epiphone guitars sound legitimately world class. the only distinguishable difference with a more expensive guitar is that they are a bit easier to play and stay in tune between songs a bit better.
Better then the stone roses song
So much Beatles influence in the overdubbed vocals.
This is better than the version that was actually released.
Does anyone have any idea how to get the lead guitar tone here, would it just be piles of distortion
Standing here verse section (Stone Roses) + Bring it on home intro riff (Led Zeppelin) = This song which i have to say is better than the both of them!
Noel has lifted song sections before but probably felt ripping off the roses' entire verse section's chord progression and vocal melody with a jimmy page riff was a bit much to put on the album, shame cos a proper version would sound terrific with that riff included!
Stone Roses + Jimmy Page influence = Second Coming
Fuck I’m the ultimate oasis fan
Never heard this tho
Tony getting kicked out of the band is unjustified. And people says alan white is better. I dont see it that way because both tony and him are on the same average level.
Although white is more technical mccaroll brought that heavy sound that was perfect for definitely maybe
This peak Pop Punk.
The Stone Roses influence is big here
Did you said it because of the vocals sound?
@@j.p.4991 Just listen to 'Standing here' by the Roses and you'll get what he's on about...
@@j.p.4991 the vocals and the drum intro is very roses-esque
and the real people
More like The Real People. They even helped Oasis to find their sound.
I thought I was listening to Fools Gold for a second
Just wanna know how they managed to get guitars to sound sound so crap 😂
who played drum track on this tune?
Probs Tony
tony
Fake. This isn't Liam.
Definitely maybe this is Liam.
It is, He's overdubbed his vocals a few times
it is liam
Everyone who considers themself as a fan knows it’s fucking Liam’s voice. No matter the dubbing, a real fan will know immediately.
It is liam u mook
