I hate how in a lot of fanfictions and a lot of people forget how Fuyuhiko, Kazuichi, and Nagito were like such bros. Seeing them act like this gave me the food I was starving for won't lie 🖐😌
The only thing I really wish, even though it may not be part of his character, is that he said why he gave them a hug like that. I just saw a summery if his relationship with them and they say he hugs them and that creeped them out. But their deaths in the program made the hug make more sense and showed how much he did care about them as people even if he had a different way of showing it. I feel like revealing that would make them feel less creeped out, but that is just my opinion. On another note, all this actiony stuff going on had me super intrigued.
I love the little detail that in his mind, Makoto is this gorgeous, charismatic, idolistic prince charming because that was essentially how he was treating him when they met in person, fanboying hard.

I like how he doesn’t just encourage Kazuichi to pursue Sonia, instead he basically tells him to take her off the pedestal he put her on, which everyone has put her on, and instead empathize, recognizing her life hasn’t been perfect despite her status and talent, thus approaching her as an equal and trying to understand Sonia as a person rather than the ideal Kazuichi pursued her as. This wasn’t just for Kazuichi’s benefit, but also for Sonia’s. (I like how this played out, cause Kazuichi’s behaviour towards Sonia really bothered me in the game, and it never improved.) Also, Nagito has a history of bad things happening to the people around him (and himself) which is then counterbalanced by something good happening (thus contributing to his messed up ideals as a coping mechanism.) But in this world, only bad things happen to him while good things happen to others (up until Matrix Hajime shows up,) and Nagito is happy that he will get the bad luck so it won’t go to other people. In this way, he is able to be close to Fuyuhiko and Kazuichi, and have friends instead of always keeping himself away from others out of fear. This made me appreciate his character a lot more (and also made me sad.)

They might be alive because danganronpa v3 future and hope arc took place after danganronpa v2 (the whole virtual reality thing which meant everything that happened in danganronpa v2 was fake) and Makoto did say the people who died had a close to 0 chance of waking up. He also said Nagito and Mikan had a bigger chance of waking up due to them remembering/finding out. (Also, a theory that could counteract the drv3 anime being before is that if they were crazy before, it would make sense for mikan to also be crazy. But if it continued off drv3 anime, she wouldnt have been crazy. So, probably the survivors of SDR2 along with Alter Ego were able to restore their memories and wake them up. In the hope arc of the Danganronpa 3 anime, you can see them all seeing Naegi and thanking him. And then reuniting with Mitarai. It's kind of complicated, but they are very much alive. (Unlike the ones in the original Danganronpa game, they will never come back to life. :'( )

I like how he doesn’t just encourage Kazuichi to pursue Sonia, instead he basically tells him to take her off the pedestal he put her on, which everyone has put her on, and instead empathize, recognizing her life hasn’t been perfect despite her status and talent, thus approaching her as an equal and trying to understand Sonia as a person rather than the ideal Kazuichi pursued her as. This wasn’t just for Kazuichi’s benefit, but also for Sonia’s. (I like how this played out, cause Kazuichi’s behaviour towards Sonia really bothered me in the game, and it never improved.)
Also, Nagito has a history of bad things happening to the people around him (and himself) which is then counterbalanced by something good happening (thus contributing to his messed up ideals as a coping mechanism.) But in this world, only bad things happen to him while good things happen to others (up until Matrix Hajime shows up,) and Nagito is happy that he will get the bad luck so it won’t go to other people. In this way, he is able to be close to Fuyuhiko and Kazuichi, and have friends instead of always keeping himself away from others out of fear. This made me appreciate his character a lot more (and also made me sad.)

They might be alive because danganronpa v3 future and hope arc took place after danganronpa v2 (the whole virtual reality thing which meant everything that happened in danganronpa v2 was fake) and Makoto did say the people who died had a close to 0 chance of waking up. He also said Nagito and Mikan had a bigger chance of waking up due to them remembering/finding out.
(Also, a theory that could counteract the drv3 anime being before is that if they were crazy before, it would make sense for mikan to also be crazy. But if it continued off drv3 anime, she wouldnt have been crazy. Also, another theory, but i realized that in the end of drv2, Makoto says he will deal with the future foundation yet in the Anime, Makoto is faced with future foundation and they talk about random crap regarding the remnants of despair...) so I guess they all survived?

So, probably the survivors of SDR2 along with Alter Ego were able to restore their memories and wake them up. In the hope arc of the Danganronpa 3 anime, you can see them all seeing Naegi and thanking him. And then reuniting with Mitarai. It's kind of complicated, but they are very much alive. (Unlike the ones in the original Danganronpa game, they will never come back to life. :'( )
