I for 1 love it - I have the non-factory gray and it is the best bike I have ever had (coming from 3 Ducatis - last the 2020 SFV4). Supernakeds are much more comfortable but what pain you save from your wrists you will gain in your neck from all the wind (no wind protection).

I bought one just over a month ago without having ridden one. Got rid of my excellent 2020 gsxr1000. Bought the RSV4 partly on the strength of your reviews over the years.
Mine is the 2021 base model cos
    a. I prefer the grey
    b. It was a lot cheaper
    c. I prefer mechanical suspension
WHAT A MACHINE! It does EVERYTHING exceptionally better (apart from pottering through town and no SODDING fuel gauge)
Outrageous motorcycle. I am over the moon with it. Thank you for your part in my getting one!

Now I have a 22 ultra dark. And most of the parts from my 2019 swapped right over.
Now I still prefer the tank shape of the 2019 as well as the tail.
But now that I've got it all setup, I can say the 22 is superior.

That bumpy road bit around 11:00 looked like the rear preload was cranked up too high. I think that, if you owned the bike, it would be worth a run-through with Aprilia or a suspension specialist to have it set up specifically for you. In fact, even the wristy aspect might be addressed if the swingarm is adjustable.

I have the 2023 Factory Speed white, and I still cannot understand this bike. But I guess I have to ride it more.

Great review and I absolutely loved the last gen v4 which was better finished than this new one. Would you agree that as exciting as the rsv4 is to ride that it and virtually all of its peers have now just gotten too much for UK roads?
I completely get it for the track but having tried the Ducati V4, S1000R, MT10 whilst I loved all of these bikes for thrills, handling and performance, none made any sense on road. None at all. I love my RSVR Mille gen 1 and it's my 3rd one now because I guess I come back to them for their simplicity and fit for our roads, their raw electronic-less grunt with near perfect fuelling, sublime handling and sound. Thing is, you can use all the power safely on road. It's still powerful enough for thrills but won't encourage licence losing speeds to get the thrills. The noise alone makes it worth owning. For track days a Tuono v4 or rsv4 would be just the ticket....but one spill could prove bank busting!

Great vid and gives a good insight into owning one of these. I don’t know if I could live with all the niggles like the glitch on the speed when revving it at a standstill, the dash constantly changing from day to night and back, the way you have to scroll up through the settings to just go back to the beginning etc.
I’m still unsure if I would buy a bike made in 2020 onwards as it seems a few corners are being cut. Will stick to my MT10 2018 for as long as I can until the planned obsolescence gets the better of me!

Always loved the RSV4 and Tuono. I wonder what the simple fix of a bigger rear sprocket would have to the liveability on UK roads. Drop 3rd gear into 30 mph cruise and allow you to run higher revs to smooth out that lumpy feel when your not really on it.

My 2021 Tuono V4 is even taller geared 15/40 Tuono Factory 15/42 so I've got a 44 tooth rear sprocket to go on with a set of S22's at the same time.

Great video as always Chops! How do you compare this with the 2019/2020 1100 factory models?
The new bike looks cheaper to me and the only thing I prefer is the new TFT. Cheers! 🍻

Great review Chopsy. The sound an RSV4 makes when it's on song is pure sex wee, but I kinda preferred the look of the older one. So I'll stick with my Gen 4 S1000RR M Sport that I collected from the dealer on Saturday.

You firmed the suspension up instead of softening it lol. As you closed the compression and rebound needles to position 1. Instead of 29.

Great vid as ever Chops - but I can't help feel the bike just looks a tad too cheap now, and much too similar in looks to the 660.

    • @kj908studio
      @kj908studio 2 года назад

I love how it looks a lot like the 660 but all that plastic and no carbon fiber does make it look cheap! First upgrades I would get are carbon fiber to replace those plastics!
